Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Still here, just waiting to let the magic types deal with the magic water.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Yeeeup. Exploring.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw shakes his head, waking himself up. "Damned magic. Water will put you asleep if you're not careful, best to avoid it and move on."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Not when it's this cold unless there's a very good reason. Wet feet=cold feet=misery.

Craw looks around, tipping his hat up. Peaceful, serene. I wouldn't mind making camp here. He leans down, dipping a hand into the water.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

*Chews at cigar*

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Curden inclines his head to the others when they enter

~

"The advice is much appreciated. I'd much rather face a foe I can see and fight than something like the cold that will just steal you away in the night."

Craw gives the man a smile (well you assume it's that, you see his beard raise up a bit) and sets his hat down before sitting at the table. "Pretty much just exploring the area. Got a lot of work ahead of us."

Bahahahaha

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

"Very hospitable of you, but my daddy always taught me to at least get a man's name and shake his hand before eating his grub." He walks over, taking off his hat and offering a hand. "Curden Craw." He gives the old man and the other two an expectant gaze.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Craw glances around for a moment, then sits down. "What is it we got to talk about?"

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw takes in all of the village, noting the defensive walls. When he sees women and children he drops his cigar and twists it under the toe of his boot. He looks up at the tall wooden building. "Yup, let's go."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw shakes his head and sits on a nearby rock, opening up his pepperbox to reload the shot he fired off at the bird. "Yer wound up tighter than a spring loaded jackrabbit. If the man wanted us dead he'd either 'ave let that bird get us or would lead us blind into an ambush. Out 'ere we can see any host coming for miles off."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw nods, leaning towards the others. "Wants us to wait here while he visits real quick."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw spins his pistol, turning enough to wink at Tik before letting it come to rest in it's holster. In giant, "You are very gracious to give us that offer, and we humbly accept."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

What direction is the smoke in?

I'm going to give others a chance to post. Not everybody checks as often as I do.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

In common, "Well it looks hungry." Craw brings up his pistol high this time, shattering the quiet with a loud crack! and a puff of smoke.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Curden switches back to common. "Sorry. He says that's a frost raptor, bad omen and a bad predator. I'm debating on taking a shot at it, but I'm not sure if it's going to bother us yet. Don't care to waste ammo firing at birds that don't want to kill me."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Craw glances at the man, then the bird, not wanting to shoot an animal if it's not intent on bothering them.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw frowns. "Looks like a bad bird to me. They normally prey on men?"

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw immediately lowers his pistol. "Ah, not your bird than. Know anything about it?"

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

"Speak common?" He looks at the others to see if they understand the language, then looks back at the tatooded man and says in giant "Giant perhaps?"

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw glances up at the bird for a moment, but then his eyes stray to where the whistling came from. He slips his gun out and points nearest to the sound as he can figure and shouts "Show yourselves."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Large as in big for a bird or large as in as big as a horse?

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw tilts his head, frowning. "Now how'd I miss that?" He looks south. "Could get horses there it seems. Good heading?"

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Oh and yes, exploring E7.

Curden adjusts the scarf under his hat to protect his ears from the wind, not paying too much attention.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 Really. Really.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Curden takes point again, walking casually and keeping his eyes forward.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw lights his cigar. That thing seems to have more morals than I do. Wonder what that makes me. He takes a long draw on it, letting it clear his mind. "Well I still disagree but if yer all against me I won't argue. Let's git movin'."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

I'm sorry as well. Let's kiss and make up. :P

I'm an engineer and will literally sit for hours crunching numbers, thoroughly enjoying myself. Just the other day my friend and I disagreed on what class made a better divine warrior so we created characters and duked it out.

I won't promise Craw will be nice or polite, but he'll be slower to draw over non-violent actions now. As a player I really like your posting style, pace, and creativity.

Also, I am well aware of the lack of ability to understand the tone of language via text. If I am ever upset in any way shape or form, I'll be dead blunt about it. It takes a hell of a lot to get me upset though.

On the bright side, this has just dramatically increased our posting rate!

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw stows his pistol and turns away from Tik'Klik. "Anyways, I don't know how we're going to afford horses if we pass up on free money."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Heh, I love the language thing, really creative.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

I am definitely not threatening you out of character. I have good player character separation and am simply enjoying crunching the numbers. I didn't mean for you to get defensive over it. Apparently this is a sore subject so I'm just going to drop it.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

How on earth do you have 16 HP as a level 1 sorcerer?

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Oh this is purely because I like seeing how the rules work. I'm a numbers guy, I like crunching them. :D

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Ok, one shot would make you *unconscious*, coup de gra, fight over.

P.S. That touch attack has the same range as my pistol.

Arcane Bolt (Sp): Starting at 1st level, you can unleash a ray of magic force as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. This ray deals 1d4 points of damage + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. This damage is treated as a spell of a level equal to half your sorcerer level, and is a force effect.

Sorry, a caster with no save or lose spells is not going to beat a martial character.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

I have a pepperbox with 6 shots including up close and deadly, which means I'm doing 2d6 damage a round for several rounds. One shot can easily drop you. No point of being able to heal if you're one shot since you only have 6 hp.

Anyways, no point in arguing over who's better since I doubt you're going to attack.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

It appears our characters are both of the "don't attack unless they do" mind, so I doubt anybodies going to get hurt. Which is good since Tik'Klik really wouldn't stance a chance hehe.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

"I will when you do." Craw says in a perfectly calm voice.

Player character separation, sorry.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Oh out of character I completely agree with you. But Craw doesn't like being jabbed in the chest and chastised like a misbehaving child. I was just saying "Please give me a reason to not make PvP without completely breaking character"

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Craw cocks the hammer. "Put it down or attack me. You get one shot. Better make it count."

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

As a player I really want to avoid PVP, but Tik'Klik just said "Kill" and is pointing a weapon at me. As a CN character I can't find much of a reason to not attack you.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Ok, it's one thing to chastise me and say I'm bad and whatnot, but some angry golem just said the word "Kill" while he's pointing a weapon at me. I'm a very hard pressed to find a reason to not shoot you right now.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

When the golem starts going off with enough noise to deafen him Craw returns the pointed finger with a pointed gun. "Now I suggest you calm down so we can talk this out, like I was trying to do. You didn't see me going to take 'em did you?" Holy hell, he was the last one in this ground I'd thought that would care about religion.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Assuming nobody notices any traps.

Curden looks at the gems, then at Mogwag as if he's speaking another language. "Yer kiddin' me right? How do you intend to buy horses, by scrubbin' boots for ten years?"

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Curden looks around the area, thinking this is a trap.

Take ten on perception for a 17.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

We have the supplies, I say we explore while we're here.

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Curden takes point, eyes scanning the horizon as he chews on an unlit cigar.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

Well I'm thoroughly confused. I didn't realize the entire ascent was just hand-waved. I still don't know why he would lead the way since Mogwag is not a ranger and doesn't even have a trained survival skill. Unless you meant Banny?

Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1

When Mogwag moves to ascend first Craw pulls him back. "My ass you're going first. I'm not holding you up by myself when you fall." He throws down his cigar and twists his toe on it. "We had a lazy day yesterday so let's get to it."
