Personally I am loving all the new information on the Draconic Codex. I was worried that it would only reprint dragons from the three 2e bestiaries, but I am glad that there are some returning dragons from 1e like the time dragon, and brand new dragons like the mocking dragon.

The Mocking Dragon was from the first Bestiary. It just happened to be more copper-colored.

Six classes for the Core book seems low though, how does that compare to what's in 1e?

Technically Starfinder includes the classes in Pathfinder 2e as well. Give that fighter a Doshko.

Luis Loza confirmed in today's Paizo LIVE! that the dragon on the cover is in fact a Cinder Dragon. And as his spoiler for the segment, he's said that we'll get stats for the Cinder Dragon before the end of 2025!

(So, likely, stats for the Cinder Dragon won't be in *this* book, but in a future book to come out in 2025).

Dragon book, maybe?

(Either way its handy, I can now update my PFS Damerrich champion without needing to wait web supplemental table to be out xD)

(nexus seems to have missed book had two versions of Lissala, the ancient version and modern version)

Yep... some data is free like on AoN.

I will them know about Lissala's second.

So no mention of Naderi in the book? Did she wander into the Hole of Disappearance along with the Egyptians or what?

Naderi is probably in a supplement. I see her in the table in the Nexus version of Divine Mysteries and here https://app.demiplane.com/nexus/pathfinder2e/deities/naderi-rm

The Osirian gods are also in it as well.. so yeah...a supplement.

The Nexus version of Divine Mysteries is a bit extra cost.. though if you have the Paizo pdf you pay less than if you do not. If you purchase books at Nexus, you get the pdf as well.

That said, you can find the info from the table on this link as well. https://app.demiplane.com/nexus/pathfinder2e/deities or specifically https://app.demiplane.com/nexus/pathfinder2e/deities/naderi-rm and https://app.demiplane.com/nexus/pathfinder2e/deities/milani-rm

Does she appear in the supplemental table? Because if yes then its just matter of space, if no, then that raises eyebrow.
Nope, no sign of her...I suspect it might be because of what she's the goddess OF, and the risk of portraying that as glamorous or romantic...
It kinda seems like they could have just emphasized her nature as goddess of tragedy and grief, if they really did remove her completely that seems confusing.
Naderi is in there.
Which page?
I'm assuming they mean the web supplemental table that only the subscribers got early and we haven't seen final version of it on public yet? But now I'm confused with mixed info

That must be it because I see Milani, Naderi, and others in the Nexus version of Divine Mysteries... but I just downloaded the pdf, and they are not in that.

Hopefully enough people are reporting the problem to get attention on it sooner, but that's not guaranteed to work.

Edit: Looks like it works for me, so it might be account specific.

I figured it was being worked on because others reported it. I actually haven't reported it because of that. But if people are going to discuss it in the thread, I should be able to reply with my experience. I wasn't asking for help. Just going along with the conversation.

For me it gets stuck on personalizing.. so that link never comes up.

I really wish the samsaran was a versatile heritage, mostly to make the options it would open up in Starfinder 2E. It seems really limiting that only human/humanoids would be able to begin a cycle of earthly reincarnations. In Starfinder it would be pretty cool if you could have samsaran from all the various galactic cultures and heritages.

Samsarans are just humanoids that reincarnate as part of their life cycle as long as they maintain harmony. Basically they become their own child. There is nothing to say there can be no other reincarnating ancestries, but Samsarans are their own thing. I do think a reincarnation versatile heritage would be neat though.

In the Sky King Tomb's Players Guide -- there are two Dwarven high priests listed as Vanth and Arridor Orridus. As far as I can see no additional description of a clan by this name exists anywhere. However, a clan called Oriddus exists in Lost Omens Highhelm. Coincidence or misprint? Does anyone know if they're two separate clans or just a minor mistake?

Considering those characters are mentioned in Highhelm, that's a typo In fact, their names are spelled the same in Highhelm, even though the Clan is spelled differently in Highhelm... so my guess is the clan write-up is where the typo lies...

Either that or it is similar to the difference between Kelly, Kelley and Kelli.

Kholo are not only not being removed, they’re being promoted up into Player Core 2!

Off-topic, and don't know how true it is... but a post on Names.org said this about the name Kholo.

Awesome!

And now I'm all curious about whether elemental 'wood' type dragons could exist as a part of a current paradigm, or be their own 'five man band' with cruel shrike-like Thorn Dragons, symbiotic-swarm-controlling Acacia Dragons, sinuous aquatic Kelp Dragons and ginormous, but ponderous, Redwood Dragons...

So many options!

Fungal Dragons scratch my itch too. Though Roll for Combat at least already has one of those, so that's nice.

I love the new changes.

But if ancestries are no longer monolithic, then dwarves should cease being an ancestry that is stuck in the mud as a species.

It also makes certain concepts worse... Monks, swashbucklers, pirates...

But also... It's the only slowpoke ancestry.

I would like drow to exist as a separate ancestry for the reasons Keftiu states, so you could make drow with versatile heritages. Demonic drow are cool.

Hard to say if this post will be considered on or off-topic....

Honestly, when a High Seas book comes, Aquatic Elves should be a separate thing as well so you can have separate heritages for them rather than a single one added to the landlubbers... and also versatile... Maybe even including a Darklands Aquatic Elf heritage for Aquatic Drow.

It would be interesting if the surprise land turned out to be Holomog. I doubt it... probably Bhopan. But as that was announced, it makes it less of a surprise.

It can't be Holomog -- the Impossible Lands are a known specified region of a few specific nations, and Holomog is off the Inner Sea map on the other side of the Mwangi Expanse from the Impossible Lands.

Maybe they are subdividing one of those known nations in the region, or focusing on an island or enclave that just didn't show up on previous maps?

While I don't disagree... we won't know until the book starts going out. And many believe it is Bhopan .. which is currently as much of an Impossible Land as Holomog right now. So.. I dunno.

They never said they wouldn't expand regions. I can think of at least one nation that could possibly get added to the Broken Lands, as an example. Iobaria.

I want a martial that does crazy weird things with special attacks and stances too. Less a concrete class idea and more just a general want.

Ancestries: Wyvaran, Stheno.

Class options: I want them to exist in general, pretty please. Like g$*#$!n the Investigator is two years old and it's got one new feat (and it's a capstone).

Give me a psychic detective investigator. A TWF magus.... maybe a feat for sparkling targe magi who use the shield spell. Gimme a weird aberration barbarian. And a weird aberration summoner. Also literally any other arcane witch patron please.

I'm onboard with basically all of this! I do think the 2e Shaman might end up in the Medium design space you mention, but I'm very eager to see both in some form.

Part of me is holding out hope for Wyvarans to sneak into LOIL somewhere, but I think we would've heard about such a thing by now... we'll find out soon enough. If they aren't mentioned there, I feel comfortable thinking they've been removed from canon.

An occult/psychic Methodology is painfully overdue. I'd gladly welcome Aberration Sorcerers, especially once Synthesists make their return.

If they do a book on Dragons in the Book of the Dead style... that would probably be a great place for Wyvarans.

I'd be curious to see what's actually new and different with their take on dwarves here. Giving each clan a "theme" is nice and makes for good storytelling, but I feel that it hardly expands what it means to be a dwarf. If anything, this feels more like dwarven society is bounded like a caste system. How will that play in Paizo's usually diverse and opportune-rich world?

It's mentioned in the Wargamer articles that non Dwarves can join a clan, and dwarves born in a clan can join another. So there are clans, but the opportunity to switch is always there.

I wonder what they do with the dagger. Probable that they keep the original dagger, but change the stone to fit the new clan? Or create a new scabbard that denote the new clan? Both would still keep some root of the origin of the dwarf, while still honoring the new clan. :O

Yeah... seems more like Clan-Guilds than Clan-Castes.

It would be nice to see a "universal" ancestry feat that anyone can take to pick up a Clan Dagger. (Or at least a way to access clan daggers if you are not a dwarf... even if it isn't as a feat)

Since metal is getting its own elemental plane, is it natural enough to get a Metal Druid? Maybe a Druidic Order that's considered possibly heretical by other Druids?

Like you can argue that making Steel (which you do by mixing carbon and iron at high temperatures) is no less natural than making Leather.

Metal Druid sounds paradoxical, largely because of the whole "Can't wear Metal Armor" anathema. So I'm not sure how that would function to begin with, given that something they would value and revere is something they can't even realistically wear, and probably shouldn't even be brandishing as weaponry to begin with (even if just because they're bad with weapons).

Maybe it will be some Uncommon Order to choose from, which alters the original anathema and puts in a new one, but it's hard to say if that's going to be put to print at all.

Metal Druid might be able to wear metal armor because it could be a class archetype as well as an order.
