I'm kind of disappointed that Paizo has not said anything recently (if I've missed something from them somewhere in the last few weeks, I'm sorry).
Brand image is huge and this is no doubt hurting their's. Perhaps the small amount of Kickstarter backers is not enough to worry about but still it would be nice for Paizo to give us some insight into possible conversations they have been having, if any have occured.

That sounds amazing, what a great way to get other games/themes into the mix.

Handy little terrain hack. I always prefer 3D terrain but that's the miniture war gamer in me.
Is that's your blog post? If so...nice to see some Battletech love.

Looks like people over in the Kickstarter are starting to blame Paizo.

Yeah looks that way. I don't think blaming Paizo or hating them as indicated but one poster, is warranted. But that's just my opinion.

I'm frustrated as I think the vast majority of backers are, but I'm trying to stay optimistic.

I think Ninja Division could turn this around if they could gets some communication out addressing the quality and shipping issues.

As for Paizo...kind of the same thing. I realize it's not their product but they put their name on it and branding is important and should not be underestimated.
I Kickstarted an iOS game called Core Worlds, which was a digital port of the boardgame. It was a bad KS, and when things started going sideways Stephen Buonocore of Stronghold Games stepped in because he recognized the damage to his brand and frustration of his customers.

Paizo has commented here and there but it's not been to the level I think many of us expect, but again just my opinion. Perhaps they feel it's not their company and not their KS, so not their problem.

I am one of the two Canadians that posted. I am eagerly awaiting their arrival though a bit disappointed that only 5 models have been shipped while others are getting the additional models.
My biggest concern now is how are the tracking who gets what and when.
But at this point I'm just happy something is on the way.
Once I get mine I'll post my opinion on quality.

Ninja Division has discussed several ideas with us, but we have told them to focus on delivering everything they've currently announced first.

I'm curious if Paizo has discussed the current state of the Kickstarter with Ninja Division; sorry I know this post is about the painted minis but I'm taking the opportunity here since you mentioned discussions with ND.

Cheers

I've got some Star Saga doors. I was just going to use my Space Hulk board game doors but the Star Saga stuff was super inexpensive.

Hey Quarotas, when you said he "tied the ranger up and placed him in-front of him as a meat shield" what did the play of the Ranger do? How did he feel or react. Obviously as the GM you feel resposible to ensure everyone has a good time, otherwise you would not be looking for advice.
I play games to have fun and as an escape. I would not be happy if my game time (time I have taken for myself out of a busy schedule) was abused by another player. I think this guy has already over step the common sense boundries. There's role playing and then there's just being a jerk.
If you are prepared to give him another chance, good on you. But if it does not work out, don't lose any sleep when you cut him loose...just think of the other players (and yourself) and what the point of playing is...to have fun.

Sorry, I am new to RPGs but not so new to life. This person is going to have or already is having SLS. S+$$y life syndrom. I think you need to pull him aside and just talk some sense into him because if this person is an ass when it comes to playing Pathfinder (just a game), life is going to be rough.
Other will probably give you some more direct advice on how they have dealt with similar situations, but for me one-on-one works best.
Good luck.

Thank you both.
I think my first order of business is to go back and read the Game Master's guide again. I have a feeling I missed more than just the handling of the XP.

As for the wife...I had the youngst make that Diplomacy check...he just seems to roll 19s and 20s.

Sorry if this is already stated/answered somewhere else but I was wondering about XP. I've read the BB Game Master's Guide and I could not find (maybe I just missed it) anywhere where it indicates how to apply or hand out XP.
Do you wait until the senario is completed or hand it out during it?
Also, do you add up the total XP and then divide it by the total amount of PCs?

I ran the first senario with my two sons and the wife (she said she would never play but the boys sucked her in) and now all three are asking about the next adventure and if they have enough to level up.

Any advice, suggestion or direction is apprecaited.
Cheers

Again, thanks to everyone for your input.
I think I will grab the Core book followed by the Bestiary.

Thank you...that clear things up for me.
Cheers

I am new to Pathfinder and somewhat new to RPGs in general.
My Question for the people in the know is after getting the beginner box set, would I be better to purchase the Core rule book or the Game Mastery Guide and the Advance Players guide? Now I know that it would be more expensive to buy the two books versus one but I just wonder if for practical purposes, if it would be better to have the two books versus the one.
Any suggestions would be great.
Cheers
