How many of you use 3D terrain in addition or instead of maps? And if you rely on 3D, without maps, do you simply measure inches, etc? Thanks

Okay, I have a Vesk using an Ember Flame Doshko with the Opportunistic Fusion. Looking at adding Cleave and I cannot see where there would be anything to keep an Attack of Opportunity would not be able to use Cleave. Am I on the right track?

Well, I went and bought a tablet just so I could have all the PDF books when playing Starfinder. But, being a dinosaur, I still like reading an actual book. So now I have wound up buying all of the hardbacks as well. They will stay at the house but I have to admit it seems a bit strange to have bothered to get them in both.

I think I already know the answer to this, but want to see if there is an exception. My Solarian is a former Castrovellian Sholatsu Cavalry Sergeant. He still has his mount. Now if he uses Supernova when mounted, the blast will affect the mount as well, correct?

Okay, I have a weird idea rattling around in my skull. I want to make a Gnome Mechanic Pilot with a combat drone mounting a Light Reaction Cannon with a Riding Saddle. Is this idea as nutty as it sounds? If nothing else, it will definitely be fun. Suggestions are totally welcome!

Howdy folks, need some advice on upgrading armor for my Vesk Soldier who just made Level 3. He is currently in Iridishell Basic which gives a +3 +6 with a 2/2 dex/ac and 2 bulk.
He has enough to upgrade right now to Ceremonial Plate, Officer with +6 +8 with 2/2 and 2 bulk or he could wait to make Level 4 and then go to Lashunta Ringwear with an +8 +10 2/2 with 2 bulk. Considering he is a tank/melee build and will now be facing tougher opponents, should I go with the immediate upgrade and then upgrade again in another 2-3 levels or wait one more level for the better protection?

Anyhoo, on another forum we ran a CAV Secret Santa and mine arrived today. A Terran Nightshade and it will look great with the rest of the Federal Forces!

Okay, new guy question here. Are the playable races in the Alien Archives allowed to be used without a Boon sheet? Looking at the Errata/Addendums of what is and isn't allowed can be a bit bewildering.

Okay, we were discussing this last night and could never figure out the definitive answer to this question: If you buy shuriken [they come in a 10 pack] from CRB and add the Called Fusion to them, do you pay for one fusion or 10?

Man, that deck looks like so much fun! I am really looking forward to this coming out and I know GMs will be grabbing this and wearing them out.

Okay, I am a relative Noob to RPGing but an experienced gamer. On a Game like Battletech a player can have any of the sourcebooks handy during games and it is acceptable, not considered meta-gaming. The other night while playing Starfinder, a creature was mentioned and I remembered it from being in Alien Archive, which I had in my backpack. I was not trying to be a jerk, and did not realize that some people would consider this meta. The GM was cool, realized I wasn't trying to be a jerk and said how some people might be offended. Okay, well and good. But what is allowed, what is not, what is legal but being a "that guy meta type"? Thanks

Okay noob question time. I see where the COM is not usable yet in Society events, correct? That as new material is released, it is not automatically Accepted for those games. SO what books/pdfs/other stuff is currently usable/approvedd for Society play? Thanks

Hiya folks, I need some advice. I have a couple of minis from a Reaper Kickstarter that are extremely sharp, but need a way to run them in SF.

I am already using the Blacktooth Suppressor for my Vesk Kotoro but I would like to use these guys as well. I think the Thunderfoot could be a pretty neat Nuar, but it's just not quite there. Any other race suggestions, 3rd Party are welcome as well.

Man, after hearing all of you talking about how much good stuff is in this, I am really looking forward to Thursday and getting the pdf of the new COM. Hopefully this new guy can figure it out without too much trouble!

Hi, I have a Vesk Soldier who is about to make 3rd Level. Str 18, he currently is using a ember flame doshko which does 1d8F. After his next adventure he would have enough credits to buy a Greataxe, Tactical from Armory pg 9 which does 1d12S and is Analog. Are there any disadvantages to this?
Also, a second question: Is there a way to store extra/backup gear rather than hauling it all around? I would rather keep the doshko as a backup than just take the 10% as a trade in.

Okay, there is a new Kickstarter called Starship IV. It is for 3D printers and I am in it already having been totally satisfied with their previous performance on the last KS. Anyway, there are currently 4 ships [3 from the previous KS are available and 1 so far here] with more coming. These are great for us if you have the room. Anyway we actually have usable, playable ships!
Okay, did some figuring for using these ships for Starfinder.
The Chimera would be roughly 144' long making it a Medium ship
The Shuttle [regular length] is 52' making it Tiny
Stretch Shuttle just makes into the Small category
Beta Scout, regular length is Small
Beta Stretch puts it into the Medium Category
Delta Transport is 84' making it a Small

Hello, just starting out in SF. I have the Core Rulebook and want to start adding books for the game. I figure I will add one a month so I get a chance to actually try to absorb the stuff. So what should be the first few I should add? Is there one that is the definitive first to get? Thanks
