Sorry guys, I have to bow out, IRL responsibilities limit me incredibly in participating. I would have loved to play Cook-Cook to his potential, but as of a few weeks ago, roleplaying has taken a back seat to taking care of my family.

I wish you all the best and have fun!

Round 3

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

At that time, he loads another stone into his sling and his attention is divided between the odd crystal tree and the sounds the birds are making and the cave fisher in front of him.
In the end he slings the stone at the cave fisher, saving one friend at a time first.

Single Shot at cave fisher, firing into melee: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 8 - 4 = 191d3 ⇒ 3

Round 4

Doing the same thing as the round before, Cook-Cook loads a stone and slings it at the Cave Fisher.

Single shot: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 8 - 4 = 91d3 ⇒ 3

Round 5

Cook-Cook tries to discern what the trees are in actuality.
Knowledge nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

"Don't get near that tree! It's an abberation."

Cook-Cook loads another stone into the sling, if he can still sling it, he hurls it a the Cave Fisher first. if that's gone, at the Aberration tree.

Single Shot: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 101d3 ⇒ 1

Cook-Cook waits to see if the crab-like creature is hostile, though his knowledge about the creature and its attack come at the same time.

"Oh oh! This is not a crab, this is a cave fisher. They are not great swimmers despite their appearances and they can spit adhesive strands."

At that point Hegron gets entangled within the sticky thread.

"Yes exactly like that. Usually these things try to ensnare their prey and then it tries to rell it in. Hence the name fisher."

Cook-Cook seems a bit too enamoured with finding this strange creature as he is relaying too much information to the group. As if he's just realising his error, he slings the stone still held in the sling towards the creature.

Single Shot: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 211d3 ⇒ 2

Cook-Cook looks with a curious glance towards the crab-like creature and tries to discern it as well as Urdrsk.

He then picks up a stone for his sling and waves towards the creature. He calls to it in common.

"Hello? We're not here to hurt you! Are you a follower of the Great One by chance?"

Readied action to sling the stone if it takes a hostile action.

Cook-Cook looks to Urdrsk's wounds as he murmurs a few words and a faint smell of brine mixed with cooked spicy noodles fills the air around both of them.

CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

As the energy seems to leave Cook-Cook, he feels faint and exhales.
"I've got not many of those left, so be careful."

Cook-Cook looks on carefully as Hegron throws the rope towards Saronis.
"Is this like quicksand?"

Earlier in reaction to Hegron

Cook-Cook looks a bit absent-minded at the strange jelly creatures and half-handedly answers Hegron.
"The Great Chef looks rather pale. He has tentacles instead of arms. Also a sort of bloodshot teary eyes, he looked sad the last time I saw him, or maybe that's how he always looks."

Cook-Cook seemed most intrigued by the green jellies and stuck a hand in the water. A few jellies moved up to his hand, they hurt a little, but it wasn't that bad at first. Cook-Cook immediately pulled back his hand as he heard Urdrsk curse about being eaten alive by those same little creatures.

He then looks up at Hegron as he suggests crossing the narrow edge.
"I've been always reasonably agile, even more than a regular goblin. I think I can manage crossing that."

Flat +6 due to DEX

Cook-Cook tries to cross the narrow edge first if at all possible.

Cook-Cook looks back at Hegron with a pleasantly surprised look at his mention of wanting to know more about the Great Chef in the Sky.

"Oh the Great Chef is a great god. He flies in the sky, teaches his followers recipes and wants freedom in sprit and thinking for everyone. His appearance might be strange, come to think of it, but it is his intent that counts, not his looks."

Cook-Cook can't help bouncing a little up and down as he relays his deity's thoughts on the world.

"When we get out of this cave, I will show you some of his recipes. They are very good."

Afterwards Cook-Cook looks with a troubled face at Urdrsk and Saronis trying to swim through the pool of water.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

"What are those? They look like green little jellies."

Cook-Cook looks at Hegron as the half-orc introduces himself.
"Good to meet you, Hegron. My name is Cook-Cook, I'm a goblin chef, or at least a goblin food vendor. I normally sell noodles across town, something that my God has granted the recipe for."

Cook-Cook looks carefully across the water and the anxiety on his face is easily seen.

As Hegron offers his service to help him swim or get across, Cook-Cook seems to blush a bit.

"Uhm... I ... am ... a bit ... I can't really... swim... It is a bit embarassing, but goblins are not profound swimmers, they usually don't come near water. Even my God in the Sky, the Great Chef, hasn't yet blessed me with the ability to swim."

He looks again carefully at the water, the sighs.
"Perhaps it is good to take you up on your offer. I would require some assistance."

Cook-Cook slowly stirs from within the rather small backpack as Saronis puts it down. Though still with weary eyes from uncomfortable sleep and dreams, he seems reasonably alert as he looks around. He manages to stifle a yawn as he puts a hand before his mouth.

"Great Sky God! Where are we now?" He says as he gently steps out of the bag and picks up his stuff that have fallen into the bag.

"I see we've picked up some new travelling companions." Now the yawn finally escapes his mouth.

"Sorry 'bout that. Haven't had much sleep taking care of this lot.", the goblin peers at the half-orc and the halfling with intent, "I believe I've seen you both before. Especially..." He points at the halfling with red hair. "Ame---lia? I've seen you around at the Drunken dragon when I served noodles."

Cook-Cook takes a good look around in awe and wonder.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 Ah so close

"This place is beautiful!" Cook-Cook's nose begins to tingle. "Why do I smell lemon? Or is that lime? Do you think those trees are fruit trees? Strange for them to grow here, but if there's lemon or lime I'd like to pick a few."

Earlier At Saronis's offer to take a nap in his backpack, Cook-Cook was not amused at first, only waving a hand towards the elf to say "No, thank you."
Later though, Cook-Cook seemed to fall behind and couldn't almost keep his eyes open. It was at that point as Saronis came back, he crawled into the backpack per his first suggestion.

Making himself a little more comfortable by folding up his mantle as a pillow, he quickly fell asleep for the duration of travel the others did.

A soft noise, almost a snore, now seems to emanate from Saronis's backpack. Cook-Cook is fast asleep and seems to be dreaming as Saronis feels his backpack shift and move frequently.

GM:
Cook-Cook is dreaming restlessly and quite rightfully so. His dreams are dark and ominous, filled with dark skies and darker seas.

At first he is part of a crew of sailors, sailing the oceans on a ship with black sails. The crew is hard at work keeping bearings and sailing in a storm, but they manage. Then the heavens crack with the sound of lightning splitting the sky and a bolt of lightning barrels down upon the ship as if targeted by fate. His crewmates and Cook-Cook jump overboard and try to find something to hold on to that floats. But the terror doesn't end there, as one by one his fellow crewmates are dragged under by something big and powerful and right as Cook-Cook is dragged under towards its mouth, the dream enters a new phase.

He is a bird, a large seagull trying its best to fly against the wind in a storm. It is near impossible but he fights to do so nonetheless. When he finally thinks he's making gains, a ball of fire roasts him alive and he is eaten in one fell swoop by something much bigger than him.

Now he is Cook-Cook, the goblin, again. He is lifted higher and higher by a creature that has wrapped its tentacles around him. He sees the earth and sea below him as they go. He is afraid to look up for fear of another dark monster wanting to eat him. In the end he still does so.
As he looks up, he feels the many tentacles wrap themselves closer, but not holding him too tightly, but more in a loving embrace.

As his eyes fix themselves more upon the creature, it seems to make more sense. It is strange, yet familiar at the same time. Strange eyes seem to look down upon him, with red tears streaking down its face. Was it crying? Was it hurt? Cook-Cook didn't know. What he did know was that this was his god, the god of his recipes, the god that has kept him safe, the god that led him to Sanctuary. The Great God in the Sky. It sheltered him from the storm and a whisper of his voice was heard on the wind, but he could not hear it. As if it spoke language that was unknown to Cook-Cook. Then the dream faded slowly.

Cook-Cook looks a bit dreary-eyed at Saronis, Maqan and Urdrsk.

"Well, let's hope this path's hardest part was the goblins. I am not sure if I can contribute much to a greater combat down the line. I am more of patching you up."

The goblin manages to stifle a yawn as he puts his hand before his mouth.

"May the Great Chef in the Sky, keep us safe, even if he can't see us now. I do reckon we need to head back to Sanctuary to tell what happened, and we would need to do that as fast as possible."

As Saronis mentions the scales to Cook-Cook, he frowns and looks to Saronis with a confused look at him.

"Scaly? As in scales like a fish or snake? Where?"

Cook-Cook seems dumbstruck by Saronis's remark and he begins a closer inspection of his arms and legs.

However, nothing can be found, both to Cook-Cook's and Saronis's dismay.

"Hmm... I don't know, perhaps a blessing? Perhaps leftover from some fish I cleaned and ate?"

Cook-Cook walks among the campment distributing the cooked soup and food amongst the party and the goblins. As he passes Saronis and the rest of the party, he gives them all a second scoop of soup in their bowl.

"You've earned this. Not many people would willingly help out a suffering goblin tribe, no matter what their urgency is. And I'm not fighter, the best I can do is keep people's spirits up after a battle. Even if these are not my tribe, I consider Sanctuary my tribe, I am still thankful for showing your aid towards those in need."

As the others eat, Cook-Cook bows and he says with a small twinkling in his eyes.

"May the God of Noodles, the great Chef in the Sky, bless our food and our hearts."

As the goblin turns away to walk towards an other part of the camp, the back of his right arm is visible.

Perception 15:
A small patch of blueish-gray scaly skin is to be seen just above the elbow. It looks to be fading.

Weapon Focus (Bite) into Small but Deadly --> for Wild-Shape applications
Agile Maneuvers --> Also Wild-Shape applications, think cats, and snakes, the -1 to CMB due to strength is pretty rough.

Cook-Cook looks a bit confused at first as the goblins seem to have been beaten, as the group goes from nearly beaten themselves to a victory.

Then he looks a little deflated as he realizes he hasn't been much help in combat itself.

He sighs to himself and goes to work to help any of the injured goblins from their side, to see if some could still pull through by receiving first aid.

As he goes about his work, he speaks up.
"You and me both, my dwarven friend. I had hoped the resistance of the other tribe would be less fierce after your initial raid on their camp. But you all held your ground well. In contrast to me." He adds on a real soft tone, barely audible to others unless they were trying to hear.

GM, the gold is fine with me, but do you mean for me to give up xp to Brew Potions? Or is it for the times I want to brew a stew with magical properties? If the first case, the alternative nature bond option might not be worth it.

Cook-Cook tugs at Saronis's cloak. "I'll be going with you on this one. Most of the goblins here have healed a bit and got rid of their sicknesses. Thanks to the God of Noodles, may his blessings grant us full stomachs. I'm not much of a fighter, but I will help as best as I can with any magic I still possess."

If I must defend myself, so be it. Hopefully I will not hurt anyone too badly.

Cook-Cook looks on as the goblins from the other tribe get stuck in the entangling vines of the flesh-eating plants. He looks on with mixed feelings, but in the end resigns himself to the fact, that goblins just fight other tribes continuously.

He walks off after the others and returns to his stew that is cooking in the pot.

"I don't think they will be much trouble anymore now to mop the rest up. I'm not sure how many you've taken out, but this will at least have scared them off good." Cook-Cook says to Maqan, Urdrsk, Gavin and Saronis.

Cook-Cook shares the stew with all the other goblins that were hungry, ill and hurt and divides it as best as he can. "Stew is ready! Everyone should eat some of it!"

GM? Would you mind the stew has a diminished healing effect as I've got the Brew Potion feat with natural ingredients. Perhaps something in the line of 1d2 healing of hp if 1d8 of CLW would be a far stretch. Mainly I'd like to help heal this tribe of goblins some more.

Cook-Cook waited patiently until the others returned, all the time he had the young goblins collect all the food they had and cook up the largest pot filled with water. One by one the younger goblins came to him and he would look at the meats, plants, herbs and roots the goblins had gathered and sometimes say: "Yes, this will do good. Chop these up as small as you can." or "No...These ones do not have the properties I seek, do you have something else?"

When the goblins bring him herbs, Cook-Cook sniffs them once, exhales and sniffs them again. Often it is "No, this will not do, I can't use this. ", though on some occasion it is like this: "Ooohoo yes! yes! This will make the brew far more potent, keep this and pluck off all the leaves."

All the while Cook-Cook kept his eyes only seconds from where the others ran off to, while giving out the last orders for the goblins, the group hastily returned from their incursion into the enemy goblin encampment.

Cook-Cook waited until the group was out of the spell's range and calls out in a loud voice:"Entagla! Tellemano!" When suddenly the flesh-eating plants grow more vines and lash out at the pursuing goblins.

I do hope it works as well as I hope. Even though goblins have a bad reputation, it's not good when they aim to murder a defenseless tribe.

Before the group disbands again to prepare, Cook-Cook mentions the following.
"I think I could make those flesh-eating plants grow to envelop an area for a few minutes. Normally it lets grasses or vines overgrow the area, but I think I could make it work with these plants as well. We would need to funnel as many of the goblins into one place though and stay clear of the area ourselves to avoid being caught."

Cook-Cook aims to help the fighters get up first and foremost, he could help the others later if they all survive. Survival in the coming fight would be paramount to the survival of this goblin tribe.

I assume all able-bodied fighters, though young, are heavily injured. If they can't fight because they're sick, Cook-Cook would treat diseases or poisons instead. First two checks restore an additional 1 because of my +1 Wisdom modifier.

In a reply to the guard's question about his God, Cook-Cook answers with a bit more zeal.
"Oh, my god is a wondrous one, he enjoys parties, free-thinking and good food. He is also a deity that gives recipes. Making sure that one can cook delicious food and even cook up some curative dishes."

Cook-Cook immediately looks to the goblins as the guard mentions there are injured young ones amongst them. Quickly he unpacks his healer's kit and starts to work on groups of goblins to try and get them up in better shape.

When Saronis calls him back to discuss tactics, Cook-Cook doesn't blink as Saronis mentions taking out goblins easily.
"None taken, Saronis. But I woudl be an easy target I guess, my powers seem to come from nature, not really an ability to greatly fight others. I think I could make some beneficial soup with weak powers or brew a potion for someone, though that will take up more time. I could perhaps better spend that time healing up several goblins here."

GM:
I've got a strange idea... Would Entangle work together with those flesh-eating plants? Entangling the goblins in vines that pull them closer to eat them would be neat.

"Come to think of it," Cook-Cook says, "I think I might be able to convince some plants to grow or convince a stray animal to join the fight. Though such an animal won't be kept here for long."

Cook-Cook looks over the goblins crude weapons and outfit, reminiscing a bit about his own time in a tribe.

He approaches the guard with a greeting in goblin.

Goblin:
"Hail Goblin Guard of Blue Tips! I am Cook-Cook of Grimtooth tribe! Servant of the Great God of Noodles and healer of wounds. We mean no harm. Are any of you injured?"

Cook-Cook carefully nods at Gavin's inquiry about what they've gotand what might help.

"That should help indeed. We already show a gesture of goodwill towards them. That's why it is better to go to the Blue Tips than towards their Red Rivals."

Cook-Cook looks to Saronis and Urdrsk, then to Katrina.
"Katrina? Would you do us the honours of guiding us toward the Blue Tips camp? If you are able of course. These two fine gentlemen will walk up front to protect you."

Cook-Cook moves over to Gavin's side and scratches his chin in contemplation, then moves over to pluck something invisible, like if he had an imaginary beard.

"Well, most goblins have a great sense of pride. They're carefree and chaotic, love to fight and bicker and determine their strength or the picking order. Usually they're not very bright, unless they're not in a tribe I suppose. Most goblins hate writing as they think it steals their soul. It's usually that kind of thinking that keeps most of us from becoming bright I suppose."

Cook-Cook continues to pluck his non-existing beard.
"I've actually never given it this much thought. I guess their great sense of pride also comes in their way when they think others treat them as dumb. We're not that bright, but we're not stupid and we don't like to be treated as such. Depending on the tribes, things differ. The Grimtooth tribe was more agressive in their raiding and therefore appreciated gifts. We had a distant neighbouring tribe called the Sweetscream tribe, great fighters, but they loved to sing more. Also hear the screams of enemies, but more prone to singing than any other tribe. I think most tribes could be bribed with gifts of dead horses or dogs as goblins view them as great plagues upon the land."

Cook-Cook suddenly looks shocked as some grim realization dawns upon him.
He looks back to Gavin and offers his apology.
"I am sorry Gavin, I was maybe a bit too detailed there."

Cook-Cook looks to the others and says: "Seems like we have our path. We should go toward the Blue Tips, get Katrina the proper care she needs. Maybe we'll even find a safe way out of these caves."

"I do wonder why no one bothered to collect their dead after all the fighting. Surely there were some survivors." Cook-Cook wonders aloud to the others.

Cook-Cook looks at the catfolk with curious eyes, still close by, but far enough to give her enough room.

"Well it's good that she is awake now. Now we have a way to go."
Cook-Cook says as he slowly approaches.
"My name is Cook-Cook, I am a goblin from the village where most of these people are from. Before that I was from the Grimtooth tribe. I bound your wounds and mean you no harm. I have never heard from the Blue Tips. Are they at war with their rivals with the red paint?"

The goblin asks with a soft voice.

@GM, I know, treat Deadly Wounds restores hitpoints, but it requires 1 hour of work, that's why I asked if the others were willing to wait or carry on.

As Cook-Cook finishes up his treatment and inspection of his first ever patient that was not himself, he nods at Saronis' suggestion.
"I think he or she should be fine for now. Though if we get in trouble it would be better if you have your hands free to swing a sword."

Then as Gavin remarks that his skills have increased, Cook-Cook smiles a big toothy smile at him, though not as frightening as a normal goblin smile would be.
"I did already know a thing or two about treating wounds, but it wasn't something people would assume of me. I think Warthead's spirit gave me more confidence, in my abilities at least, as well imparting a little bit more knowledge on how to use it. But thank you regardless Gavin!"

As the group comes to the split in the road, Cook-Cook winces as he sees the signs all too familiar from the battle site.

"See? This is also something he or she could help us with." The goblin indicates the catfolk in Saronis' arms. "It would be good to know which side it came from, so we might have an easier time going through that side."

Cook-Cook gets out his healer's kit and motions to Saronis.
"Could you lay him or her down? I'd like to make a check-up."

Cook-Cook looked at the cleaned and bandaged wounds and prepared the tools of his aid kit to apply better treatment. He mumbles something about, knitting the hole and making it whole. Just as he wanted to peel back the layers of bandages, a soft light-green glow, infused with streaks of blue, emanated from his hands.

CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Cook-Cook looks as dumbstruck as the others as he sees the wounds close all by themselves in a rather rapid pace.
"What....What just happened?"

Cook-Cook listens for the breathing of the catfolk now he or she was cleaned up and taken care for. The breathing was calm and steady, not as raspy as it once was. Still the figure did not wake right away.

"I think I saved her. Or him... He or she is stable now, though I am afraid it's not far from the edge. I could wake her up, but that will take some time. Time we might not have if we want to get out quickly."

GM? Are you okay with Cook-Cook having memorized level 1 spells immediately during the class changes? We didn't have time to commune or prepare spells just yet, so I'm not sure if we could use them.

I reckon, Cook-Cook recognizes goblins unless they're really difficult to distinguish.
Survival: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Cook-Cook walks up behind Saronis and Urdrsk as they mention a fight and goblins.
He looks over the remains and points out the footprints of the fallen.

"I think... I think that some folk about your height Saronis, fought here together with a few of my size. Look you can see the prints here, where they began and where they fell."
Cook-Cook points out the prints and then turns to the prints of the opposite party.

"Look here! These footprints are all made by creatures my size, less of an imprint, but they were with at least ten, maybe twelve. Probably mostly goblins. If I was to judge who won, according to the blood splatters and where the bodies lie now, the goblins won."

Cook-Cook moves carefully across the fight scene and is taken aback when he finds something still moving.
"Hey! One of them is still moving! It's one of the ones you deemed as a catfolk."

Cook-Cook immediately takes out his healer's kit and begins administering first aid. First things he does is look for wounds and clean it up with water from a water flask, then disinfect it with alcohol or ointments from his kit.

I don't believe Cook-Cook gets to pick a power? None was mentioned for the Zod path as I recall, only that they were great heroes or villains.

I'm not sure what else it should be though. Could I gain the level 1 power of a Domain? Either the Knowledge Domain power or Oceans subdomain to attune to my deity?

Cook-Cook counted the number of hands for each tunnel and came up with the most votes for each.

"As I believe I've counted correctly. That's one vote for the simplest path with no danger and no reward. Two votes for the quickest path with some danger and some rewards. Three votes for the path with a bit more danger, but a lot of reward in treasure."

The goblin clears his throat, looks a bit sheepishly at Maqan with a gesture saying I tried.
"So, we take the third tunnel. That means we will have to be careful to watch for danger. Perhaps there are also more traps down that way, be watchful for those. I might be able to help if you get wounded with my new aid kit, but I can't help everyone."

Cook-Cook looks to Saronis and Urdrsk.
"I can see in the dark, I believe Urdrsk is also able to do so. Is anyone of you willing to walk at the front? You two do seem the most experienced of our group."

Cook-Cook notices the glances he gets from Urdrsk and Saronis.
What are they looking at? Wasn't it a good idea?

He then holds up his hand.
"I would vote for the second path, quickest way back, but with something to find for us to use with not that much risk."

He looks to the others and notices that it's now 2 in favor for the third route.
"Though if we choose for the third path, I will help as much as I can. But be careful though, I am not much of a fighter still."

"Hey! Urdrsk is a good man! He wants us to be safe and pick the safest way possible. Is it wrong for him to get frustrated when others he aims to protect go off exploring on their own?"

Cook-Cook says, perhaps louder than he intended to.
"Urdrsk pointed out he wants to take the safest and direct route. This would mean either the first or second path Zenli indicated. The second tunnel is the quickest way, but has some dangers but also treasures on it. "

Cook-Cook thinks to himself for a moment.
"Finding treasure or magical powers for us, would be a boon indeed, but what are we willing to take that risk? I would say, let's put it to a vote. Most hands decide which way we go, after that we can make plans on how to approach said path to minimize any dangers we could come across."

The goblin looks around to Urdrsk, Gavin, then Saronis and Maqan and Varrick.
"Does that sound good to everyone?"

The change in Cook-Cook's attitude and vocabulary is definitely obvious now. He has probably gained more self-confidence thanks to the many different Goblin heroes he had found.
