Thank you all again for you help. There has been a change in our group. Our Alchemist has dropped complete out of the game now. I was going to go with a ranger, as our GM was going to spec A. Ivey (dont remember his name, but the guys who is suppose to be dead on that island) into a druid and add him as a NPC, potential cohort. Do you think between him (asa druid) and Sandara (as a cleric) is enough healing support or should I change my ranger into something else. It should be noted that our GM plays to us very well, so I have a feeling we will find a wand of cure light wounds relatively easy in the game.
Thanks you two! That gives me some things to think about. I think the alchemist is going to be a bomber as they were going for the timid, scholarly type. For Divine I figured between the alchemist, bard, and Sandara (NPC) we would be okay on healing, but you guys bring up good points about divine character, especially an archer-style inquisitor.
I am about to begin playing a Skull and Shackles game and everybody but me has their classes picked out and I am stuck between a few classes. Everybody is going pirate/water themed characters (archetypes mostly).
My choices are:
Are party make up is:
I originally was going with a Corsair Fighter, but we have a heavy hitter in the Barbarian, and the Ranger I thought of as a either dual wielding or archery build, as the Bard is unsure if they will focus on melee or range and casting spells. I am worried about taking the Picaroon Swashbuckler due to already having a swashbuckler and not wanting to step on their toes. As far as the role I plan on playing, I am open to being either melee or range I don't really care. We already know that the captain is going to be between the Bard and Swashbuckler and I am okay not being the captain and don't really want to be. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am going to have to bow out of this game, everything at home and at work and the game I am running is just a little too much for me and I have not been able to fully commit myself to this game. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for the opportunity.

Really want a useless idiot, taking off two riggers to punish us for being friends with others, he will get what's coming to him. Connor works hard all day swabbing the deck, making every effort to show Plugg he isn't bothered by the work. STR: 1d20 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 3 = 26 working diligently

Ashrem, I agree with you, certain leadership on this boat is horrible and something needs to be done. My only concern is the Captain, which he obviously trusts Plugg for some reason, and I am not sure I want to tangle with the Cap.

This should be fun, if only the people back home could see me, a real pirate, and no damn curse to speak of. Connor starts to swing the grappling hook and let's it fly. 1st Attempt: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (3) - 4 = -1 Connor is embarrassed as he doesn't even make it to the boat, ashamed he tries again. 2nd Attempt: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (3) - 4 = -1 Again, Connor cannot even make it to the boat, maybe I shouldn't have doubted the curse, Connor is no extremely embarrassed and getting very frustrated so he swings it around his head a few times and let's the grappling hook fly. 3rd Attempt: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (7) - 4 = 3 This time he hits the boat, but it fails to catch on,
climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Do I need to roll a Reflex save to stay on, or do I just fall off, I will wait your answer then finish my post.

I dont get it, how hard is it to keep this stuff repaired, these other people I swear must not know what they are doing. Connor keeps a close eye on Fipps and Amamer cursing himself that he cannot keep a close eye on Fipps and the other crew.

I wonder how good the other crewmen really are if these dang riggings get this badly damaged, but oh well at least it's an easy job .

Connor moves towards the closest shark and withdraws his cutlass. I STILL don't believe in the curse, , Connor thinks, trying to convince himself that his has nothing to do with him, I wonder if I should tell the others, . 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Connor makes easier work of climbing the ropes and keeps himself busy all day repairing the various ropes that have been broken or torn. I really wonder how competant some of these other sailors are, these ropes are in horrible condition. At least I am on a boat and nobody knows my last name or about the family curse. Sailors life for me, finally. Connor makes sure to keep a close eye on "Cat" to ensure that she is left alone.

Profession: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Connor works hard throughout the day, securing and working on the various ropes, and watching Allie's actions towards the other crew mate, plus Connor doesn't mind watching Allie either. As the day goes Connor sees Amamer fall, but is unable to reach her to help and he lets out a howler. Connor starts to climb down, but sees others who can actually help make their way towards her. Connor decides its best to keep working and keep an eye on her. I really hope my curse has nothing to do with that.

Connor enjoys the rum, and takes in his surrounds looks like we may have problems already with this Fipps character. Connor watches Fipps as Allie does her thing to make friends, and he keeps his distance as he is not known to be persuasive with people.

Climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12 Connor easily makes his way up to the crow's nest, where he has an uneventful day looking out into the sea. Connor laughs as he watches Allie have fun with some poor sailor. maybe that will teach him Connor learned from the last ship that Allie may be tiny and innocent but she sure can handle herself.

Connor looking around, trying to gauge the crew and the officers. Connor sticks close to the others, wanting to make sure that they are not completely separated. Eventually Connor will eat and then head below deck to rest early after a long day in the water. Pleasure to meet you, the name is Connor. Any kind of food will be good food. You are?

Look what we did, to the last group of people who messed with us, we stick together and we got nothing to worry about. I hope to the gods that nobody knows me or recognizes me and my last name, I may get thrown overboard or worse...

Allie i actually really like that, the other two PCs are good with magic so many they can include that somehow to help with the escape, and my guy is just a fighter who is quite strong lol. Another idea is that Connor could have played up that his family name is cursed (part of the backstory) and that having him on the ship is bad luck. Connor does not believe this of course and believes the whole story is nothing but a lie. |
