I just hope he was our last foe. I’m almost out of spells now. Colvet steps over the fallen monster, ”That wasn’t too bad. You alright, Milo?” he asks, venturing into the room and looking for other things of note.

Seeing how effective his previous attack was, Colvet pulls magical energy from his staff and releases it in another blast of force. Drain arcane focus, 3-action cast

"What is that thing?" Colvet wonders in horror, but still does his best to contribute to the fight, casting a decently lengthy spell, sending a trio of force missiles at the undead. 3 Action Magic Missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2, 3) + 3 = 12

Can I make a Lore (pathfider society) check to potentially ID him? Colvet looks over at their findings, "Poor man. Can anyone else use the scroll, or can I hold on to it?" he asks.

Hey, the site is back up Colvet moves into the hallway until he can see one of the skeletons, and fires off a bolt of force at the closest one. Force Bolt, ranged touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 171d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 So, is Dex used for ranged spell attacks or is it the spellcasting modifier?

I... don't have it prepared today. It seemed... superfluous. Because, great! There is officially magic somewhere in the room. Where? I don't know! But it's there. Somewhere. And there's no real way to figure out what it is.

Colvet raises his staff high, ans slams it into the ground, sending a wave of fire at the vermin and trying to roast them alive.

There's no such thing as nonlethal anymore, so I guess not? I'm also not sure how it hit me. Do they have Reach? Fort DC 13: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 Colvet steps to the side and thrusts his staff forward, and shoots a freezing ray at the closest centipede.
Hey, not a 1 or 2 in sight!

Colvet quickly casts a protective spell on himself, and advances to engage the goblin, attempting to give it a hefty *thwack* on the head, but failing to do any more than plant the staff in the ground. Strike, Staff: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Casting shield, for a +1 to AC and using Shield Block as my Reaction if it comes up.

Colvet looks around his allies, trying to find a clear shot, then extends his staff and tries to shoot a ray of pure freezing energy at the one goblin he can see, but it hits the cave wall.

Colvet is mildly disappointed at how quickly the ooze is dispatched, but allows the magic he was starting to gather dissipate harmlessly through his staff, raising his eyebrow at Guy, unsure of who wanted to try and eat an ooze, of all things.

In the middle of the group walks a bearded man, perhaps in his early to mid twenties, and outfitted in an outfit that was undeniably that of a wizard, but modified to be more appropriate to adventuring, holding aloft a lit staff, providing plenty of light to see in the gloomy sewer. While he's remaining calm, it's not hard to tell that he's enjoying himself, even in the squalor surroundings. "Good to meet your acquaintance, Elya. I'm Colvet." he introduces himself, "Personally, I kind of hope the gob puts up a bit of a fight. It's been too long since I got to fully unload, but this sounds like it might do just the trick."

Okay, so with the errata confirming that all characters are Trained in being Unarmored, I'm doing the only logical choice: Upgrade to Heavy Armor! ...What? It's not like I was going to succeed on the stealth checks anyway. (Not actually, even though there's no real mechanical reason for me to do otherwise)
N Male Human Playtest Wizard (Evoker) 1 AC 13/TAC 13; Fort +1 Ref +3 Will +3; Per +2 HP 13/14, Spell Points 3/4, Resonance 3/3, 1 Hero Point
Yeah. However, as I haven't seen that written anywhere (did I miss something?), I'm going with the assumption that I'm Untrained in no armor, so I've got padded armor that provides +1 AC. If I'm wrong and wizards are Trained with no armor, well, free AC boost.

It is a bit weird that it's not stated anywhere I've found. At the moment, I've got Padded Armor, mainly for cost, but it is weird that wizards get as much use out of full plate as fighters do. I wonder if they're doing FAQ? |
