Dear Paizo Staff,
today I received my Pact Worlds-book (Order 4696641) and once again my book has the binding issue, I sent a photo via eMail. I experienced the issue with the Core Rulebook, the Core Rulebook Special Edition, with BOTH replacements of the books (second replacements were ok) AND with the Alien Archive (replacement was ok).
On top of the loose binding the binding of the book has a different hold on the top and the bottom, so the pages are crooked and the book looks really bad even closed, I can provide extra-photos, if you like. First, I would really appreciate a replacement copy again. Second I am really sorry for all the binding- and replacement-trouble you have with me. Third, I am totally hyped for Pathfinder 2. Edition and now extremely worried that the general qualitiy of the second edtition books will be as poor as the qualitiy of the Starfinder books. I would be really happy if you could dispel my worries!
Greetings from Germany,
Clavicus

Dear Paizo-Staff,
there seems to be a problem with the pricing of Order 4558464.
The cost for the items included is $37.03, the shipping $11.92.
But you give out a total price of $63.46. I would appreciate a recalculation ;)
Greetings,

I have a similar problem with my order 4549827. You charged me $40.55 for the shipment including the replacment and my monthly AP. Would be glad, if you could correct that before shipping!

Thx Sharaya! If this is not a common issue I guess, I have been extremely unlucky. Looking forward for my new Alien Archive!

After that one is resolved unfortunatly I have another problem:
Like I said in my opening post, I had the binding issue with the core rulebook + special edition. You charged me with shipping costs for the replacements but later told me, that was a mistake and I would get my money back because the cost of shipping is yours to pay if replacements are involved.

Today my next order spawned (oder 4549827) and again you charged me with high shipping costs für the replacements of my replacments (which too had the binding issue, see opening post). Could you pleas look into my order and correct the shipping costs?

THX again!

Dear Paizo-Staff,
I had the binding-problem of the Starfinder Core-Rulebook and the Special Edition. You sent me new books and they had the same problems. Thankfully you agreed to send me new books again as soon as the November-Printing is there.
Today I got my Alien Archive (Order 4485435) and it too has the same binding-problems, I sent you a mail with the picture.
As I understand the Alien Archive is sold out too. I would be more then happy to wait for a better second printing run before replacement.
Right now I am considering the cancellation of my Starfinder-subscription. On the one hand it's a pain for me to get all those damaged books and I already feel bad for constantly asking for replacements. On the other hand the whole shipping of replacments to Germany is crazy expensive for you.
Have you been able to eleminate the binding issues for the future? Nothing would make me happier then to hear that you were able to solve the problems and I would gladly continue my subscription. After all, I love the content of the books and the game :)
Greetings,
Clavicus

Hello Diego,
thanks for the fast and positive response! Happy to hear to get a refund on the shipping costs :)
I really would like to wait for the second printing of the core rulebook standard edition too.
Thanks!

Sorry for multipost, but after rereading my post the tone seams a little bit aggro. Be assured that this wasn't my intention :)
I really love your books and your work - one more reason why I would like the perfect content to be in a perfectly bound book :D

It's about Order 4404703. The initial order with the first damaged books was 4375190.

Dear Paizo-Customer Service,
today I recieved my replacement book. Honestly I was a little bit afraid to open my books and unfortunatly my fears were confirmed.
I am sending you some images of the replacement-books with an email the same time as I post this
The back of my SE is damaged. If it was the standard-edition I wouldn't mind but for a book I bought on top of the regular one to collect it, it's just a total bummer to get it already damaged out of the box.
Sadly, on top of that, the binding doesn't fit in the back so the book is crooked when I open it. This would be sad even with the standard edition, but with the SE its a killer for me.
The standard-edition book has the same problem wirt the binding like the books of my first order. After looking through the book only one time it already starts to tear the same way the other books did. I think its clear, how this book will look like after one evening of actual use.
I appreciate the fast and generous sending of replacements, but have to say, that the quality hasn't improved. On top of that, you charged me with 62 Dollars of shipping costs which I would be ok with, if the books would be in good quality. This way, its burned money for me...
If you would consider another replacement, I would be very happy to wait for the second printing of both books in november and would really appreciate it, not paying another 62 Dollars of shipping.
Is that possible? If not, which other options do I have?
Sorry for long sentences, must be a german-thing ;)

Clavicus

And some of the newer Adventure Path's also. Does that mean that the print-run was lower, or is it a sign of higher demand? I wish for the second ;)

If it is any help in the troubleshooting-process: I've got the exact same problem as Sub-Creator
edit: thought it was a new "feature", glad to hear that it is some kind of a bug since I would really appreciate the old appearance.

Hello Clavicus,

Since you didn't buy the books from us your first step should be to see if the store you purchased them from will exchange them for you, as we have steps in place to replace damaged or defective goods through distribution. If they are unable or unwilling to exchange them please let us know.

I actually did get my books from you. I subscribed to the Starfinder-Line and ordered the SE on top of that. I too was surprised that the books already arrived in Germany yesterday. It's order 4375190

Hello Guys,
I in Germany got my books (classic Core and Special Edition) yesterday and sadly I have the same problems. Both books bindings are off and I only opened the SE one time :(
Sent Mail to customers service, hope something can be done despite the fact, that I am sitting on the other side of the great sea.
Edit: to make it clear: I love the content of the book and would be happy like a small kid with a lollipop if it weren't for the off look and cracking sounds of my books!

Thx, I got news that the shipping took place. All in all a bit strange, since I never added anything to the order after it was initially made, but I'm happy, that all went well :)
Thanks anyway for the quick response!

Dear Customer Service,
there might be a problem with my order 3933194. Whatever the reason, the payment got split down on your behalf in two with the first part expiring today. Since I want to avoid a delay of the package, I want to point on this soon-to-maybe-be-a-problem early :)

Hi all, I've asked for advice before however circumstances have changed slightly.

I have a level 5 angel-blooded Aasimar Paladin (oath of Vengeance). I've picked up combat reflexes and improved trip (my GM let me skip combat expertise).

My party has no problems dealing damage; we've got a full orc barbarian with 23 strength, a sorcerer focusing on blasting, an unchained knife master rogue and a caster focused druid... and my Paladin.

I was going to choose power attack as my 5th level feat however the campaign is very evil oriented which means that I have no issues with dealing damage, we're also out in the open and travelling a lot so I'm thinking of taking a mount as my divine bond so perhaps a mount feat would be good? (my GM has hinted that he's open to the idea of me taking a Griffon at later levels).

I also have 7500 gold to spend, and can buy 1 item at crafting cost as a quest reward.

My stats are Str 20, Dex 14, Con 12, Int 13 Wis 11 Cha 16.

Gear: +1 cold iron longsword, +2 heavy steel shield, +1 full plate, m/w lucerne hammer.

Any advice is welcome, if it helps, my Paladin worships Iomedae but has recently been learning of Desna and has come to respect her.

Hi everyone,

TL;DR should I pick Unsanctioned knowledge to add some utility to my paladin spells in a party without arcane casters and a druid as the only full divine caster? And if so which class/spells should I choose?

Ok, for the background:

I've recently started playing with a group who had never played D&D or Pathfinder prior to our first session so I decided to create a character that would fill any gap once the others had decided what they were taking.

The GM informed me that the others had picked a Barbarian, Blaster Sorcerer with some crowd control and a Druid devoted to spellcasting so I decided to pick an Oath of Vengeance Paladin focusing on tripping as a second melee character with crowd control, secondary healing and a few buffing spells if needed.

So session 1 starts (at level 1 btw), the Barbarian player is present and has opted for a full Orc with 22 strength and power attack; he's a monster but in a good way.

The druid player has decided to focus on archery but has a decent wisdom score, she's a bit overwhelmed by the spell list but confidence will come with time, I'm sure.

The player who opted for Sorcerer has decided to instead pick a half elf unchained knife master rogue with terrible charisma (so no multiclassing into bard or Sorcerer).

So far we've been able to deal with anything we encounter easily, mainly because of the Orc's crazy strength (he even accidentally killed someone while doing non-lethal damage in one hit) but I'm concerned at the lack of arcane spellcasting and the druid's subpar divine spell list.

My Paladin is an Angel-kin Aasimar so I can pick up non-magical flight later on and I'll have blessing of fervor as a pseudo haste spell, along with powerful justice as an awesome party buff but is this going to be enough?

We're now level 3 so I have picked combat reflexes and improved trip as my feats (my GM let me skip combat expertise) and was planning on picking power attack then greater trip, should I instead pick Unsanctioned Knowledge at 5th or 7th level?

Thanks for any advice.

First of all, thanks in advance for any replies to this.

I have a 3rd level Aasimar Angelkin Oath of Vengeance Paladin and was wondering how to make the most of tripping - lunge or greater trip?

My ability scores (rolled) are: 20,14,11,13,11,16.

My DM has been kind enough to allow me to skip combat expertise so I have taken combat reflexes and improved trip, I was thinking of taking Power Attack at 5 for when I can't trip, then lunge or greater trip at 7.

The campaign is likely to go to 13 and for feats 9 and 11 I'd really like to pick Angelic Blood and Angel Wings (increasing my con to 13 via ability score increases) as we don't have an arcane caster and so non-magical flight would be handy.

I've also been given a variant of a lucerne hammer to play with, the damage has been dropped to d10 however it's been given the trip quality (so brace, trip, reach and a bonus to sundering armor).

I'm going to be picking up a mithril breastplate when I can the adding the titanic property to allow me to trip huge monsters and add the armor enhancement to my trip once per minute.

So there's the main plan that I have; if I'm not smiting evil enemies I'll be knocking them over - is there anything that I could be doing or picking up to make this better?

Hi everyone, I've just started playing Pathfinder (Rise of the Runelords, having just completed "day 1") and my GM has kindly allowed me to pick my feat after trying the game out.

I've picked the Travel and Luck domains, and becuase of my lucky dice rolls in determining abilities decided to pick Elf as the race for the weapon proficiencies. So far I have:

Str 14
Dex 16
Con 14
Int 10
Wis 17
Cha 14

The party I'm in consists of a barbarian, paladin and ranger so I was thinking of either focusing on summoning or buffing my magical abilities, perhaps with a skill focus then eldritch heritage (I quite like the look of the Protean and Starsoul bloodlines as they tie in with my character concept).

Another way to go I guess would be to pick up archery feats and stay back, buffing the ranger and myself.

Can anyone recommend the feat and/or a direction to take? Thanks in advance!
