The boy flips the blanket off him. Fine I'm up! What do you want?

Bastard old man.

Five more minutes!

The body under the blanket shifts and grumbles.

Christopher will spend the next two months studying everything he can about the expedition and the people on it.

You perhaps. But given your seeming distaste for them, perhaps perhaps they simply hold your interest long enough time impart their knowledge.

I assure you my book learning will not be neglected any time soon. I'm almost a decade ahead of the curve as well as the odd adventure.

I'm Christopher St. Claire, heir to the St. Claire assets and I'm here to represent our family's invested interest.

Christopher St. Claire. And no, but an undertaking of this magnitude is bound to get press and our first meeting is an excellent photo op. He sticks his hand out to her.

My family is helping to fund this expedition and I'm here to represent our interests. As to your work I'm familiar with your last book. Quite wonderful.

Christopher St. Claire at your service. But if you don't mind what does a member of the church want with this expedition?

A little of both truth be told. My interests have led me to acquire many rare occult books and artifacts and has led to become quite an expert on antiquities in general. And while I am often dispatched to see to our various holdings, for this expedition there is no more obvious choice.

How much funding comes from us, do I have that information?

Christopher looks over at the desk clerk. It's Christopher, and continue to slight me and I will make your life very difficult. Chris follows after the bellhop.

Christopher looked over at the man. Quite well reasoned. My family has invested a large sum of money in this expedition and I'm here to represent our interests.

I am well trusted to handle such matters as my family's dealings with them.

Christopher moves towards the counter he's only slightly taller than. Excuse me Monsieur. I see the rooms of ones Mr. Starkweather and Mr. Moore. I have an appointment with them.

Indeed. I will of course keep the pick of the litter for my own personal collection as per our agreement. The lesser items will still make you a tidy profit. Good night. Christopher moved away from his adopted parents, a childless couple who'd taken in the brightest boy they could find. Rather detestable folks, but they'd raised his standard of living far beyond what even he would have been capable of alone.

The money spent on private tutors, Professors from colleges far and wide and so much more. They had even taken to indulging his interest in the occult and his still modest personal library continued to grow with each foray. He carried over his newest acquisition, a tablet covered in various pictographs that he'd work on deciphering later.

Still working, and currently horrified that I IRL qualify as a dilettante.

Still going with the original concept I think some things don't quite fit the mold of eccentric rich guy I'm going for.

Antiquarian: Art, Bargain, History, Law, Library Use, Other Language, Spot Hidden, plus any one skill as a personal specialty.

I'm not sure exactly what spot hidden is supposed to do or if it's a catchall, like is it find clues? Decipher hidden meanings, find valuable things hidden among others, or all of the above? Art and Library use I don't see really going with the concept, Bargain would of course be a key skill of most rich people at the time, at least in my mind. History I'm unsure of. Law makes sense too, My only thoughts on other skills this character might have would be sword use as fencing was of course a favorite sport of the upper crust, or possibly guns to represent skeet shooting which I'm not sure of. Past that, I'm a little stumped. Thoughts?
