Now that Gods and Magic is out, I wanted to see what deities could be chosen by Paladin/Liberator/Champion, and also a quick reference for finding interesting deities if you want a specific domain. So I made something!

I include PFS legal alignments if that's your thing, and then simple Yes/No charts for your favourite class.

Have at it! Let me know if it helps you decide what deity suits your divine character, or interesting deities which have that domain you're looking for.

While filling a local need of more pregenerated characters with a bit more complexity than the Paizo official sheets, I thought it'd be useful to share my work with the rest of you.

I've named it purposefully in the same manner as RavingDork and James014 for ease of use, but I have some specifics which I am working to:

  • * The characters will be Pathfinder Society Legal
  • * The characters will be presented at lv1, with guidance for how to level them up following the theme
  • * The formatting will be a statblock close to official formatting, but probably not exact

The society legal side is because of my local need, and if I do create something which isn't I'll call it out. Starting at level 1 is to allow for the pregen to be usable in PFS straight from the printer, but complete with ideas for a player to take a way and learn about the joys of character creation. I won't be offended if parts or all of the progression aren't used, but it's a thematic progression for the character to kick-start the mind.

So without further ado, here are the links:

Teneb's Character Emporium

And...

Character 1: Dr. Aerodus Marcanello Wintrish

Finally: this wouldn't be possible without Pathbuilder 2E doing a lot of the heavy lifting for formatting, so cheers David! You get a shoutout in the footer

Now that we have blogs detailing the availability of options in PFS, as well as the Achievement Point system being revealed, we can now see what uncommon archetypes will be available to play.

I've done a quick spreadsheet which includes all Ancestries and Archetypes available from the Lost Omens line, and determined whether they are available in PFS using the rules we've seen.

Have I missed anything? of the options which are available, which archetypes are you most excited about?

Looking at the store, the ability to buy digital versions of the Pathfinder tales line ends after Forge of Ashes. Is there a way to purchase the digital versions of these books or do I have to buy physical?

I'm quite interested in where the power level sits with Pathfinder 2E. in 1E from the APG onwards there were some clear winners if you wanted to create a party capable of slaying encounters well above the expected CR.

I am curious about what you lot think is *the* party if your goal was to smash powerful encounters. For the excercise, the primary goal is fighting monsters. Traps, skills and roleplaying I can already see the rough power level of parties. I'm very keen to understand what the upper end of combat optimisation looks like.

Champions with Flickmaces welcome, bring me your powerful options!

Horizon Hunters 4/5 **

Hey team,

I had a look around but I can't find the 2nd edition organized play guide for making Pathfinder 2 society characters. It's the document published yet?

I'm quite keen to get stuck in as you can imagine.

Cheers!

Horizon Hunters

Since I put the challenge onto the players to make a character from the terrible archetypes as chosen by you lot in this thread.

I have since put together my core monk (although I have been given Gnomes of Golarion too, so I will definitely be making use of Bewildering Koan.

The theme is that he is one of three gnomes from Yavipho in Garund. Growing up he hated that those who were not born short stout and with fancy hair considered his race to be weak and unable to compete in the local gnoll wrestling which takes part in southern Osirion. Determined, he is ready to be unleashed upon anyone and show them that he too can pin with the best of them. He has formed the Gnome Wrestling Assocation or G.W.A. and wishes to make it internationally approved.

Mechanically I thought I had to do something entertaining with him. Damage is dull at the best of times. No one is impressed by damage numbers, not even your own mother. Instead I decided to give him a wrestling theme, which is why I went with Agile Maneuvers to make him a little less MAD. (I wasn't allowed to take any stat below 10 as per the challenge, which makes core monk even tougher)

If you lot have any ideas for how I should advance Wobblenozzle I will take it into account, especially if it's before 2 when I can retrain at will.

I am pleased to announce that Pathfinder Society in New Zealand have a new officer for both the North and the South Island.

Isaac White (RPG Superstar 2013 Top 32) has always been a large part of the Auckland Pathfinder Society scene, from relentlessly GMing event after event to creating regular newsletters for the society. There is a condifence, and level of professionalism with everything he does. Isaac has decided accept the title of Venture Lieutenant - Auckland to solidify and bolster Auckland's Pathfinder Society.

Isaac bought me my first roleplaying book 10 years ago and has been involved in very close to 100% of games that I have been present in. He is a software engineer by day, and killer GM by night.

If you would like to get a hold of Isaac White, you can do so at pfsisaacwhite <at> gmail <dot> com.

In a much colder part of New Zealand, I would like to introduce you to Paul Trani, our new Venture Lieutnenant - Dunedin. Hailing as the previous Venture Captain of Asheville North Carolina in the USA, Paul has recently relocated to the South Island of New Zealand.

Already he has contacted a local group of players who played Pathfinder but had never heard of Pathfinder Society. Quickly Paul has changed this, and is looking for opportunities to grow their community from a single table to a thriving mecca for PFS.

Paul has an incredible level of enthusiasm for Pathfinder Society, and when we first corresponded by phone the planned 15 minute phone call easily turned to 3 hours of Pathfinder stories, and ways that Pathfinder can be grown in New Zealand.

As the first Venture Officer in the South Island, Paul's role will be to serve as a more local contact for players looking for Pathfinder Society, and he will work with myself to better integrate the North and South Island's events.

If you would like to get a hold of Isaac White, you can do so at we.be.dunedinpfs <at> gmail <dot> com.

These two officers already have a great history with Paizo, but please make these two feel welcome in their new roles, and if you are a PFS player in New Zealand, or are thinking about becoming one get in contact with these officers and lets get you sitting down at a table and rolling some 20's!
