abrupt! had to read it twice! but have fun!

-0 to resistance

stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30

-0 to resistance

If the task comes to sneaking, Chris 114 will drop the biomass. While sneaking comes naturally to him from a few years' practice, rarely was he the lookout.

stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

-0 to resistance

"That is odd. Do you have an idea of what we could expect?"

-0 to resistance

Chris turns away from the window and walks to the transmat pad, letting his biomass boil over and encase his body in a hard shell once more.

-0 to resistance

Chris will jump outta this thing and fight them, if that's what we wanna do. Or he could bash a hole in the wall of the complex if we ignore the dogs.

-0 to resistance

"Yeah or... bear-dogs? Who knows, but I bet they'll want to fight. Probably can't avoid 'em either. Unless you can cloak smell."

-0 to resistance

perception: 1d20 ⇒ 15

"Someone I know works at Central Freight's NY distribution hub. She's been talking about how a lot of fright has been picked up by private contractors with east european accents over the last few weeks, 40+ trucks worth. A couple of days ago she overheard two them saying they lost almost all of the last convoy heading upstate, she only remembered that because she hadn't heard anything on the truckers or highway patrol grapevines about any accidents or hijackings."

-0 to resistance

ooh, rough. hopefully things end up better for you and yours.

-0 to resistance

Chris will respond to the phone message, meeting up where instructed. Once there, he will also share the information he has uncovered, and see where that piece of the puzzle gets them all.

Correct, but it doesn't explain why it was covered up. No news or police reports = something fishy.

alrighty, i will bring it up when the gang is all together again.

-0 to resistance

So that would leade me to believe that the barge was the lost convoy they spoke of?

-0 to resistance

Chris will make a few calls to his cohorts in the underground, and see what shakes out. he has the Connected advantage

-0 to resistance

weird it was not showing my post after i posted it. i guess it was a suuuuper delay

-0 to resistance

for some reason i cant post in the main thread. Chris will attack the barge to try to keep goods from being transported with it

-0 to resistance

Subject 114 turns his attention to the barge, since someone saw fit to get in his way of fighting the fire bear.

He tears at the barge, seeking to prevent its use in transporting stolen goods.

-0 to resistance

Since others have opted to try to get the fire bear to surrender, Subject 114 moves over to the ice barge, and attempts to render it incapable of transporting goods any longer.

dodge: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 vs DC 20
toughness (imp 10): 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 16 - 2 = 33 vs PL 5 or 10?

-0 to resistance

dang i keep getting confused. i was gonna factor a -2 and a -5, but then i remembered i erroneously did that last time. sloooowly learning. M&M wasnt this complicated when last i played! (or more likely i was just playing wrong)

-0 to resistance

claw, multiattack, reach: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 10 - 2 = 13

Chris leaps at the fiery enemy, seeking to distract it before it killed the girl.

-0 to resistance

so if i understand correctly, they have an ice barge with crates on it, and that is what they are stealing? if so, my goals just shifted from attacking them to loss prevention

-0 to resistance

does the earlier ruling mean my -2 is gone? i am kinda confused

claw, multiattack, reach: 1d20 + 10 - 2 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 10 - 2 - 5 = 21

Chris shifts his attack and renews his assault on Alloy, having no real way to see the woman causing the terrible cloud.

-0 to resistance

does that count even melee attacks?

-0 to resistance

Chris attacks once more with his scythe-like arm is my penetration doing anything? if not, i might switch to multiattack

blade, penetrating: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 - 2 = 14

GM Xabulba wrote:
@Chris 114 - Sorry if my response came off as snappy.

i didnt think it was snappy. i did change to melee form when i moved to attack him, however i didnt explicitly state it (i thought i had). I would have had to change to that form to attack him with my failed armblade attack.

-0 to resistance

toughness, impervious 10: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 16 - 2 = 26

-0 to resistance

with my impervious 10, wouldnt the brass knuckles, with a +10, be useless?

-0 to resistance

toughness, impervious 10: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22 v. pallet
toughness, impervious 10: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36 v. zappination

Chris, figuring the lightning lady was too fast for him and wanting to get away from the others so he didnt get hit with another arc, rushed Alloy.

blade, penetrating 10, reach: 1d20 + 10 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 10 - 1 = 12

-0 to resistance

GM, when you ask for a resistance, could you say which kind to use? I'm still not sure. As near as i can tell, Liberteen either used Fort or Toughness.

resist: 1d20 ⇒ 14
+10 if fortitude
+16 if impervious toughness

and as for my posted action, i was mostly aiming to puncture the ship's hull. do i feel like that worked?

-0 to resistance

sorry for my absence and the belated nature of this post, i lost an entire day to an MMO yesterday

init: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

As the crate flies towards them, Chris sees Liberteen's muscles flex as she tries to catch the crate.

use this for whichever happens: 1d20 ⇒ 10

If she succeeds in catching it, Chris will immediately change to his ranged combat form, and use his Groundspike ability. As his form covers in biomass, he plunges his fists into the ground, locking himself in place. In the distance, from under the boat massive spikes of biomass erupt and attempt to puncture the hull.

Groundspike: Burst Area Damage 10 (DC 25; Burst Area: 30 feet radius sphere, DC 20, Increased Range: ranged, Indirect 4: any point, any direction, Penetrating 10; Distracting)

If she looks to be failing or struggling, Chris immediately shifts to his melee form and lends his strength to keep the young girl from being crushed. (STR 9)

-0 to resistance

Chris should be down in the vicinity, in his basic human form.

stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32

-0 to resistance

I was thinking of looking into the docks, maybe busting some heads and crates open.

-0 to resistance

Chris contacts his friends in the underground Connected advantage to "put his ear to the ground" and see if there is any real information out there that the news sources and officials aren't revealing.

-0 to resistance

Noting the cramped space, Chris retracts the swollen biomass and takes a seat, looking out a window or looking for a screen that displays the outside, or even some sort of information or map.

-0 to resistance

no plans, just sticking with the group

-0 to resistance

fine with me.

-0 to resistance

"So, time to leave, then? Shall we be needing me to punch a hole? Or are you gonna mean us up, cap'n?" he asks of Captain Cosmos.

-0 to resistance

Chris answers questions as follows:
Why were you there: "why are you here?"
Prior knowledge: "did you?"
Name: "114"
when powers awoke: "before today"
what powers do: "kick ass"
subvert rule of law: "rightful? No."

-0 to resistance

Chris remains in heavy melee form, intent on not making this any easier on anyone, as well as being ready to slash the van in two if need be.

-0 to resistance

"Alright."

-0 to resistance

Chris steps back and puts his hands down, but leaves the biomass up.

"prepared... how? Sounds like a trick."

-0 to resistance

i'm really not crazy:
[ooc]yeah, Chris isnt a CRIMINAL per se, but isnt a fan of cops. Having escaped from the lab run by what appeared to be possible government/authority figures, to be greeted by cops with guns drawn... not good. He isn't going to be taken alive unless another super tries to intervene. He isn't going to kill cops unless they are really trying to hurt him bad. He WILL destroy police property though.

but, unless they've got some serious and penetrating firepower, they aren't going to hurt him. He is in his melee form now.

and the girl was teleported aboard the ship i thought.

-0 to resistance

Chris covers himself in biomass, yelling, "you're arresting me? Or shooting? Fire away, you'll not take me in. Fire on me and die."

-0 to resistance

Chris can make another trip. If need be, he could make even more, as he can probably soak most damage that a SWAT team could do. However, he probably shouldn't be seen when transformed. In light of that, he will go back to his basic form right before cresting the lip of the sinkhole on his second trip.

-0 to resistance

"I can jump. Could probably carry someone too."

-0 to resistance

strength: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 or i guess i could use an attack but i figured it might be too delicate.

Chris tries to bend the bars or rip the door off the access to the victim's cage.

Then he will take the other one up to the surface to the spaceship.

-0 to resistance

Chris can probably use strength to open up the door, or he can wall-crawl the victim out of here.

-0 to resistance

perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

-0 to resistance

initiative: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Chris leaps forward to grab the victim, but will he get there first?

I figured it would make sense that whichever of us wins init would grab her.
