I think it helps. So the mouth tube is independent from the body. Killing them removes one attack but doesn't kill the monster. Like Fei Wan said, killing the body ends the battle.

With the dazed mouth tube still by him Chamak attacks it, channeling magic through his weapon.

Well, it isn't staggered, but I entangled one mouth with ice for one round! Or, did I hit it? You didn't give regular or touch AC. I rolled 26 against ranged touch.

Entangled:

I don't know about putting a wand in a shield, but Weaponwand lets you merge a wand into a weapon. Maybe it would work with a shield too since technically you can use a shield as a weapon.

Chamak, AC30, sees the huge rock come entirely too close for comfort and wonders how the bird was able to detect him. Maybe it just guessed when he disappeared? He turns quickly to the side just trying to avoid the very fast, huge bird. Well, obviously calling it a bird was a stretch as these things were about as natural as a pit fiend!

As I veer off to one side does the thing change course to attack me? Also, I was flying up but my flight speed is only 60'. By your post I assume it is diving? Pathfinder rules do not change speed for diving but does reduce ascending speed to half. So if it is diving at me it would only be 170' closer, or 330' away still, correct?
