Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann takes position near Calex in the foliage of a tree and starts her illusion of lyph.

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (11) + 17 = 28

Silent Image, DC 16

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

ready

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Oo! The fog can be used as part of the illusions too. The more we restrict what they see, the more we can sell the what they do.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Do any of you know a spell to make us faster on our feet? If we cast that on Dieredon or Poseus, maybe they can run quickly and stealthily enough to reach them before they realize the ruse.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

I have my illusions and sleeps spells. And the Tafganor fear the Lyph. Calex, maybe if we coordinate illusions, we can get them to think there are much more of us than they are. That the Lyphs have come back for revenge. Or we can lure what who we can out into the woods with my Ghost Sound spell.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Ok finally go around to updating Caorann. This level, she took another level of ninja and now has ki, shadow clones, and vanishing trick

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann is positively delighted by both the honor and festivities. She throws herself into the party and drinks far too much wine. Nearly 2 ounces!

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Did Deiredon disappear?

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann spends quite some time trying to decide how much to tell the others of the Hill of Cairns. Finally, she decides to warn as few of the others as possible, only her current traveling companions. Given that Deideron is currently away from the others, she'll start there

Deiredon:

Caorann is careful about stealthily through the trees to reach you. You hear her whisper out from the nearest tree.

"Psst! Deiredon! I have something to tell you. I think I know why they are torturing lyphs for information about the Hill of Cairns. Creatures, humans, elves, what have you, that enter the Hills come out dark and twisted. Some become gigantic and monstrous, some resemble the living dead, but all come out evil. You may know of one such creature, the Fulough Barghnora! I think that the Tafganor and Sashi-Anhain, or whoever is commanding them, may want to use the twisted magic of the Hills to create a dark army. We lyph have hidden and sealed all the entrances what lies beneath the Hills for a long time. Only we know where those entrances are!"

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Does Caroann know anything about the Hill of Cairns?
Relavant Knowledge Check, if necessary, if Local, Arcana, or Nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

I could sneak in and start sowing dissent! Who knows what a well placed illusion or waylaid object could do to squabbling armies! In the chaos we could try to sneak our way through.

She tilts her head processing for a second. Wait human, Gymnaga, and Maetaur? Who did they take for the other sacrifices? And why capture lyphs and their Queens?

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

"Riku! You came back! We feared you had abandoned us. How did they escape?"

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann makes the appropiate nods, noises of agreement and emphasis in the proper places during Calex's explantion

"Don't worry Turrlow. We'll take you to where they are. After that, have everyone find a safe place to hide. Woodbridge will protect you until this ends. The people there are so nice!" then, more grimmly."We will go and save all the people they took prisoner and stop them from unleashing this evil!!"

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Oops. I had no idea that that was a thing. We could get another orb from the Queen we are trying to rescue. And Caorann is slated to be a Queen. Maybe she can take a whack at making one.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann alights on the bullette and starts working on unbinding it.

Bullete's are not know for being easily tamed, but maybe if you spend enough time with it, you can get it to bite you less. This one has been abused, so it will be slow to trust

She turns to the altilyph, returning to her normal mode of rapid fire questions.

How many others survived? Can you get them back? Will you rebuild? If not, Woodbridge can help you recover!

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann hasn't been in the game for a terribly long time (a few months) but I have to say my favorite part so far was the Fire Fight.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Flying down, she lays a hand on the newly shrunken beast.

Sleep

DC 18 Will

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann immediately takes the bluish red orb and flies up high above the Bullette and chucks the orb at it.

"Bombs away!"

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Then she will wait the two rounds

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

With the swarm gone, Caorann tries to quell the beast by putting it to sleep. (DC 18 Will)

If we are going to try that, you better fetch the stone quickly! The last village's bullette escaped the chain.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Oops. Then I have let my players get off with a lot.

At the last second, being the capricious fey she is, she changes her mind, fliting to the nearest tree to hide and casting a mote of electricity at the beast.

Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23
Jolt+SA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 141d3 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (6) = 8

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Figuring it worked the first time, Caorann tries to daze the monster again.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Terquem:
Yeah I guess with the swarm it's pretty useless. Though my plan was to have Diederon to try and coup de grace it. I guess I'll daze it instead. DC 17 Will.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Gesturing again, Corann tries to put the bullette to sleep "Sleep, dammit!

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23

With the monster visible, Caorann prepares to cast an enchantment of sleep on the creature Sleep, DC 18

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann is going to wait for the results of the spell before acting, poised to cast a spell if the bullette surfaces

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

The night prior
Caorann flits about, her wings an electric blue, elated by Mina's actions. She immediately picks it up and puts it on.
"Oh goodness, in the fary and confusion of the last few days, I had completely forgotten about the belt. Thank you new friend for identifying it for me!"

She flies forward and (tries) to hug Mina's shoulder.
_______________________

The Bullette! Why? Why do the tafganor do this?!

Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34

Caorann to make her way back to the other to report, taking extra care to remain undetected.

She whispers The village is destroyed, but the bullette here remains chained. And its underground. We must kill it or it will either keep the survivors away or escape and threaten others!

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Go for it. Honestly, I don't know why it never occurred to me to check it out before now.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Why?! Why do they attack the Lyph? Let me go first. I'm harder to spot or hit if there is trouble.

Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann's wings turn a happy yellow and nearly knocks him out of the air with the force of the tackle-hug
"Rudggual! I'm glad to see you safe!"

She alights on the branch next to him, highlighting how small she is at about half the altilyphs height.

"Well it's all that extra weight your carrying! You should be smaller, like me!"

Pointing in turn she says This is Poseus, Diederon, Calex, and Mina. We were following some tafganor and Sashi-Ahain who attacked Woodbridge. One of them had this holds up belt We came here to help and maybe get some help to free some villagers they took.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann flits about impatiently

"No! We need to get to the village! It's not far! They may stil need help

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

"I am!"

Out of know where, the flitting form of Caorann dives down, her wings turning an electric blue.

"The bullette is gone? Are the lyph alright? Where's the queen?!

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann has been unusually quiet for a while now, fearful of what they'll find at the village. She speaks up quietly when they get close

Arcana: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

The lyph call it the Bullet. It's a huge beast, all armor and teeth. I've heard stories of them leaping and picking off lyph 30 feet it the air! We must kill it so the lyph can return!

Sorry for the hold up. I've been in the hospital for appendicitis for the last couple days and they've been giving me the good stuff. I go home tomorrow though and it looks I'll have plenty of time on my hands to post :)

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

"We must help both! But if we help the Lyph first, they may help us in getting back the prisoners! The altilyph are fierce warriors From what I can remember!

Definitely not. The aliens are a dangerous nuisance to my science colony. We must make technological advances and they interfere with our research! Profits are at risk here!

But...but...dump stat. Oh well, here's the new spread 18/14/15/9/10/10. I'll throw up an alias later. Still undecided on a name and backstory though. Any ideas?

Likely, I'll have it done in the next day or two. But don't quote me on that. Civilization: Beyond Earth just came out and I have a mighty need to take over Alpha Centauri.

For the minotaur, I think I will go with a reflavored viking fighter (more berserker than raider)

Tenative crunch:

18/16/15/6/10/10

HP 34
AC 22 T 12 FF 20
CMB +7 CMD 19

Class Features: Fearsome, Shield Defense
Feats: Shield Focus, TWF, Improved Shield Bash, Power Attack, Impaling Charge
Skills: Intimidate (2) 5, Survival (1) 6
Equipment: Mwk Agile Breastplate, Mwk Heavy Spiked Shield, Mwk Longsword, Mwk Warhammer, Fighter's Kit, Longbow 144gp

Shield Bash +7(7) 1d6+4(6) x2
Fullround +6(5)/+5(4)/+0(-1) 1d8+4(6)/1d6+4(6)/1d6+2

Also, new minotaur traits:

Monstrous Humanoid - 3
Specialized (+2 str, +2 Con, -2 Int) -1
Powerful Charge - 2
Fast -1
Gore - 1
Skilled (Survival) 2
Hardy -2
Frenzy -2

By my count we have five, do we not? Or at least 5 interested.

Maybe he can be the runt of the litter :)

Minotaur:

Monstrous Humanoid - 3
Specialized (+2 str, +2 Con, -2 Int) -1
Powerful Charge - 2
Fast -1
Gore - 1
Skiled (Perception, Dungeoneering) 4
Hardy -2

How's this?

For some reason, I really want to make a Minotaur character. Perfect for a dungeon crafter. Probably a fighter, but could make an interesting wizard or cleric.

The question is if I should build him from the race creator rules, or translate the monster stat block into racial traits.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

You will show us! You will show us now! Now! Now! Now!

Wings turning red, she starts firing jolts of electricity.

Slaughterer! Killer of Gymnaga! Slayer of Lyphs! I will do worse things than turn you in to stone! Murderer! You will pay!

She throws up an illusion Silent Image of a storm of fire and brimstone around her, continuing to rant and rave at the tafganor

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann rushes the tied tafganor, shouting

Where did that one get this! Did you attack the Altilyphs?!

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann flits down to the tafganor with the bracelet, furiously working on untying it from it's wrist.

"They took this from an Altilyph Druid! A leader among the Lyph! They would not part with this willingly. Ask it how they got it! Ask them!"

Sorry. Somehow I missed the update.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Well my (and Riku's) initiative are after the tafganor. Unless I misunderstood how we are working combat, my round three action is now.

Jolt with possible SA against Red TG: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 201d3 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (2) = 4

Moving closer to the last tafganor, Caoran fires another mote of electricity, then attempts to hide again.

Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann already took her actions for this round, so she can't go down to pick up the belt. She'll do that soon enough.

A Druid's belt?! How did the creature get a hold of that?

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Hiding amongst the foliage, Caorann points her finger at Yel SA and fires a mote of electricity. She then flits through the leaves and attempts to hide again.

Jolt w possible SA.: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 221d3 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + (5) = 8
Hide: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

On her turn, Caorann will attempt to put to sleep the largest group of enemies in a 10ft radius she can find (DC 18 will) and try to hide again, moving a few feet into the foliage Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (11) + 17 = 28 If nothing has really group together further than two, she will target the two to the west.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Caorann practically disappears, watching and listening intently for signs of the enemy. She'll try to position herself just in the canopy, ready to sling spells.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

aid survival: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

"Maybe I can spot them from up here!"

Seeing her new friends look around for something, Caorann flits up again to get a better look around in order to help.

Female Sahilyph Trickster 3

Caorann can be overhead, keeping watch over the surroundings, or moving through the foliage, keeping somewhat hidden.
