understandable. i liked this game but i think Canim was a poor fit. just like his clothes! haha

Canim will stick near the others unless he both sees that he is not needed and sees a library or university. If he sees a particularly fine eating establishment he will direct the group to it, if possible.

Canim stands about uneasily, waiting for the exchange to be over. sounds like an awful lot of talking with people will be necessary. not really my forte...
Canim already looks worse for wear, the road having not been kind to his clothes and him not really having taken time to wash them. Between sweat, food stains, and grime, even washing his clothes probably wouldn't make him look too regal to pass as an adept rather than a mage of middling power.

Canim watches the proceedings with Byron with amusement, but hides it by burying his nose into his books. He was behind on studying, anyway.
i likely wont get leveled up until this weekend, but if i can find time to do so before then i will.
for some reason, Canim isnt a player in this campaign even though i have posted in gameplay???

Canim looks about at the others, and their fallen enemies, taking a general stock of the situation. He takes a deep breath and tries to catch the rest of his breath now that the combat is over.
GM, i am here, but Canim recently took his turn in combat and is not in the space-imagination-world so there is nothing for me to post at the moment. just dont want you to think ive run off

i'm still here. i will stay until the GM says it is dead or i havent seen a GM post under any alias for over 1 month with no explanation.
Canim will move as fast as his blubber allows (20ft) and will cast Ear Piercing Scream on Alex. DC 18 fort reduces to half damage and negates Dazed condition. Target is Dazed and takes full damage on a save fail
Canim moves out of the clouds of black crap. He will direct his flaming sphere to move about in hopes of it burning the black smoke away, and maybe hitting an avoral he can't see.
Canim steps forward and belches forth a cone of fire (fire breath spell) catching most of the avorals with the searing flames. DC 19 reflex halves
so this is terribly embarrassing, but when i said "fireball" earlier, i meant my flaming sphere (the one i had created the round prior). I am not high enough level (level 5) to cast fireball (although i suppose you could have thought i bought a wand, which i did not).
Canim steps up and directs his fireball to hop up and descend upon Alex once more.

Canim reaches into his pouch for a piece of brimstone, coating it in tallow and sprinkling some powdered iron on it. The dexterity of his practiced fingers is surprising, and when he tosses it underhand into the air, it bursts into flames and falls upon Alex. casts Flaming sphere on the big bad avoral.
Canim watches the situation develop, preferring not to choose aggression yet. The bad bird will attack someone else first if I just keep quiet and still.
still here. i was one of the more recent posters, although im not sure what is happening. Avorals landed, but Canim isnt one of the prophesiers.
"Ah yes, fancy seeing you again." Canim says to the group, but primarily to the avoral from yesterday.
Canim laughs at the outburst, "You all sound like a lot of bickering women, and only two of the group have an excuse. Yes, Byron, what one creates is very important. But where would you be without the adoration of those who cannot create?"
At the little guy's outburst, Canim replies, " dont look at me, I'm not the one sobbing over here. And while I may not have contributed directly, I'd like to think my knowledge has helped the group. So let's stop the bickering and get something done! I'm hungry!"
"Both are in the realm of possibility, yes."
"He may be a servant of a more powerful demon that could fight the pack of avorals."
"I can't fly, that's for sure. I can start looking into a flight spell but I imagine it'll be awhile."
"Hmm," says Canim, inspecting a small sample of the foul tea the erstwhile avoral had, "I can tell by the smell of this blood that some sort of corruption is in it, foul beyond just decay... Some sort of abyssal or diabolic blood in here, plus some protean element mixed in as a catalyst. If this were prepared a little more properly, one could induce monstrous mutations with this. The protean catalyst would bind the devil and demon blood to one's own, effecting a bodily change toward the demonic or devilish." After a short pause, he continues, "Coupled with Kyomi's report, I would posit that this "crippled" avoral is trying to get his wings back by using this stuff. Several known species of demons and devils have the ability to heal wounds, and many also have wings..." He trails off, leaving the floor open to discussion.
"It was some daily regimen he needed to take for strength, and i believe he might have specified strength in battle."
"eh, it's doing better now. Just a bit of the original cut remains. I do tend to bleed a lot, so you're not far off the mark. But under this exterior I am rather healthy."
"perhaps... the road is rough on me, as you may imagine. The accomodations are wonderful, no doubt, but I fear I am hardly myself when not in a tavern or in a library." Canim says in response to Sixth.
