I stab the closest prone abomination with both swords, hoping to inflict sneak attack damage. X Kojan X Caerwyn
I sit down next to the god-child and offer him some water. "Here, this will help. The dwarf did carry you for miles after all, so he should be allowed to scold you at least. Now pull yourself together and let's go!"

Well, I for one, am tired and a little beat up, so I will lie in one of the divans, eat a little bit of fruit, drink some of the wonderful ale that Kosan has discovered, and take a short nap, while my armor and weapons are cleaned. Before nodding off, I ask one of the servants: "Is it possible to wash or bathe here? I am probably headed to my death soon, and would rather face it looking and smelling my best!"

Apologies for the absence, I've been gone on vacation and not really checking the computer. Back now though. Congratulations on the big event Vale! Caerwyn has been following the party, looking with wonder at the powerful undead army, and wondering at the contradiction between vile undeath and the aura of good that exists in the area. In the Mindlink: "Good undead? How is this even possible? I don't know much about this, but this is certainly a first for me."

Chose Sacred Strike, from the Book of Exalted Deeds (http://www.realmshelps.net/cgi-bin/feats.pl?Sacred_Strike). If you don't have or don't allow the book, let me know so I can choose another one. Thanks. Valegrim wrote:

Leveled to 6th, although have yet to decide on a new feat. Do I know it as soon as I select it? Also, you probably said it at some point and I forgot, but what sources do you allow for feats? Core only? Core + Completes? Any WOTC book?

Reflex save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 I am assuming that my Reflex save happens before I activate my torc. If it is afterwards, then you need to add 4 to the save from my increased DEX Valegrim wrote:

So this is an armor bonus? If so then it will only improve my AC by 4 as I already had an armor bonus of 4 and they wouldn't stack (well, I'd get an extra 4 AC from the DEX boost). If it acts like barkskin normally does then it would be an enhancement to natural armor and give me the full +8 as it would stack with my natural armor (and another 4 from the DEX). Valegrim wrote:

I touch my silver torc and whisper the ancient Celt word that was taught to me a long time ago by my grandfather. Instantly, I feel the cover of rough bark on my skin. I prepare to move quickly through the door as soon as someone opens it. Activated barkskin from my silver torc, I believe it is the 2nd use today.

I'm really sorry I disappeared for a while. Work has been crazy these last few weeks and I've been traveling non-stop. I'm back for the week and then out again, but hopefully will be able to keep up better. Thanks Vale for keeping Caerwyn active! I put my hand on Astinos' other shoulder and say in the Mindlink: "Let's try to move as quietly as possible. I know it will be hard for the fighters with all that heavy armor, but even so, let's make an effort as slyness will be more useful than brawn here." I check my pocket with my other hand, to make sure that my piece of candy is still there. "Only for emergencies" I think, and I leave it there and unsheathe one of my swords to carry in my free hand. "Let's do this!"

Valegrim wrote: Caerwyne; you can recover your arrows; as can anyone who threw something. Also; you see a fair about of bones and refuse on the floor. Sorry, was away for a few days I recover my arrows and store them back in my quiver. I look at our surroundings to see what the possible exits are from this place.

Looks like my main hand attack is a critical hit, if the creature is susceptible to them. Here is the extra damage just in case: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Sneak attack damage applies in two scenarios: 1) Flanking in melee
Only the second one might apply here, and only if the abomination is flat-footed, or if I am surprising it, which I could if I had been hiding, but I wasn't this time. Finally, I need to be within 30 feet for a ranged attack to be able to deliver sneak damage.

I assume I am awake given my 22 roll? I wake up with a pounding headache. My lungs burn and my throat feels like it is on fire. But I am alive! I look around and am relieved to see that everyone else seems to be alive as well. I pick myself up from the floor and feel a rush of blood come to my head. I lean against a boulder to steady myself, and try again, more slowly this time. Then I move towards the fresh air, breathing hungrily and thankful to be alive.

Well, if I have cover, my roll goes from 14 to 16. I had already added in the dodge bonus. Finally, I saw some characters add the +5 blessing bonus. I didn't realize that was still active. If so, then my total would be 21, otherwise just 16.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Is there a chance for me to fire my bow at the snakes through the tunnel without hitting Kosan or Astinos? I realize that the penalties will be high for firing into melee and potentially for cover, but if I'm not seen potential damage could be decent. Also, what size is the room the snakes are in?

Valegrim wrote: the rubble and dirt pushes Astinos and the Lady with him and jets Kosan in to the left tunnel; which thankfully holds. The dust and rubble is thick and rocks and stuff everywhere; con rolls dc 17 or cough and hack for a two rounds; make it; hack and cough for 1 round.; fail by ten; your feet and legs are also partially buried; all in left tunnel roll. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Failed, so I cough and hack for 2 rounds.
