Well I am the type of Player and GM that would rather have my Humanoid Enemies be a Race with Class Levels than a basic stat block from a bestiary. Adds more variety and challenges while making things slightly easier for building things like Minotaur Shamans and Troglodyte Chieftains.

By-the-way: If we get the chance to swap in new characters or such what is everyone's current plan? Personally, If we can't get a good replacement for Tupilek I might look into building a Fighter(Tactician). Though I am curious as to how the Archetype's Tactician Ability works. Such as does that Fighter gain a Feat or does it just grant the ability to give any Teamwork Feat they know?

Caedmon grins at Bonewright."I thought of that. We can use that to our advantage. Make them think the Village has been attacked by a third party outside of them or us." Real Life Plan Example: Think of the Battle of the Black Field from the Civil War. The Missouri Bushwhackers made the Union Troops hunting them think they had been slaughtered when the Union investigated they ambushed the Troops and slaughtered them.

"A Paling? If we could set-up even a rudimentary Paling we might be able to hold out." Palings(for those who are new to ancient fortifications): A Paling was a basic wall built around a camp typically of wood and then inscribed with what was believed at the time to be Magical Symbols to reinforce it. Or even for Identification.

"It is a small chance but we might could cause a disturbance in the natural order that would convey a message to them that we need help. That and I believe your companion could carry a 'message' to a nearby hermit that could get him to help us contact them. That is if the hermit is still alive or the gate to his home is active. Well can he activate an item that summons him to a location?"

"We make haste to the Camp. The fastest of us that can be effective even when tired should go ahead and warn the Camp. At the very least it might can be abandoned without the loss of life."Caedmon grits his teach as he thinks on what Bonewright said of the Orcs."So the mighty and proud Orcs are nothing but puppets of a Master. Perhaps a Half-Blood?"
Male Human Ranger2
Sorry, I said that horribly... What I meant was that you would serve better in the Messenger Party. That way you could help make sure the message was believed. How Caedmon sees this is: -This force is either a scouting/raiding/reinforcement party.
Killing them means less Orcs for the later battles, more Orcs killed, and more, non-Orc, lives saved.

What I am thinking is something similar to what happened with the Battle of Thermopylae. While the Spartans fought the Athenians were busy evacuating their City. The Spartans knew all along they wouldn't survive the Battle but chose to fight if it meant saving Greece. That is also why only those who had sons were chosen.

Caedmon scoffs."We are warriors whether we want to be or not. Our mission comes first. There are plenty of us to where this plan could work IF we work together and fight smart. We can attack from Ambush. The Majority will fight the Orcs. The 3 man team will push on to Human Lands."
Male Human Ranger2
Caedmon suddenly speaks up after remaining quiet all that time."One man can carry a message. The three fastest of us can leave and rush towards the human lands. The rest can attack the Orcs as a distraction. The fastest will be the Messanger. The other 2 will be a bodyguard group to take on any Orcs that happen to catch up or attack. Such as a forward scout."Stopping Caedmon sighs."It would most likely cost us our lives. The main thing we need to think of is the fact that our sacrifice could mean saving many lives." |
