est grew up in the frigid north, but was never as interested in the typical pursuits of his clan-mates as everyone else. He sensed that there was more to life than wine, women and lustily chanted song. When a wandering master from the far east came through his clan-hold one summer, he saw in the man a peace and efficiency that he desired more than anything else. He followed the master to his northern monastery and soon his natural talents lead him to becoming one of his master's best students.
