Do they not have mortal agents for this skulking? We are wasted by this foolishness." Zedkiel glares down at the trooper, motionless. ![]()

Fate point to reroll the hack: Tech-Use 50: 1d100 ⇒ 93 Brother Zedkiel is unable to get information from the systems on where the techpriests and their servitors are moving, but he attempts to send misleading information to them on his and Brother Xing's location. As they proceed, he keeps his eyes open for exposed power conduits, fuel lines, or anything that could cause reasonable damage if breached by a krak grenade. He won't attempt sabotage yet. ![]()

![]() Brother Zedkiel looks on at Brother Xing as their commander relays what has happened to them, and says, "The magos would strike at us, the Angels of the most holy Emperor, unprovoked?" His voice is as calm and measured as ever, but seems to have the slightest crack of fanaticism and desperation. He continues, "This goes beyond impudence, this is heresy. We must repay his hospitality," as he draws one of his krak grenades. Spoiler: I want to try to sabatoge the ship while we're down here, not badly enough to scuttle the ship and certainly not enough to kill us, but cripple some systems and cause enough damage that demands immediate repair that the magos is distracted and would have trouble catching us on his ship or attacking us if we fly off. I have skills in demolitions, tech-use, and tactics: void combat (which I think includes boarding) keyed to my 70 int, but I don't know what checks would be needed. ![]()

![]() I think we should split up. Some folks can go to the bridge and distract the magos. The rest go to retrieve the devices under pretense of finding the source of the sabotage, and while we're there break stuff (probably set charges to important parts) to create a new crisis to distract the magos. The guys going to the bridge can try risking the vox jammer to temporarily isolate the magos so the new crisis is more sudden and distracting, but that risks discovery. ![]()

![]() Fevered Hallucinations:
Zedkiel stood in a fractured landscape, among the twisting tunnels and vaulted spaces of his home hive juxtaposed with the religious murals and art of a Terra he had never seen. Behind him, a golden ziggaraut shone with light and hope. Before him, an endless seething tide of horror. Mutants, xenos, daemons, and traitors. The future of the galaxy bore down on him, an eternity of despair and wickedness, unless he stood firm. He charged forth, his great black sword reaping through the hordes, but the tide was too great. He was thrown down, and the hordes crushed over him, slithering and stomping him into the ground. Would this be humanity's fate? No! Zedkiel pulls himself up, and rushes in, screaming, "To battle, for the Emperor! The palace shall not fall!" Half action rising, half action move towards the fight ![]()

![]() The fluff I read said the Black Templars knew of them and they were the only psykers they were ever willing to fight alongside. Also, as he was responsible for shoving kids on a black ship, he might have looked into their possible fates. Still not the kind of thing he would ever talk about, except in confidence to a chaplain or if one showed up in person.
