Liet-Gar quickly leans away from the open doorway and avoids the bulk of the ice shards, and gets a good hit on the dwarf when it appears in the doorway. He then steps back to get a good swing with his ranseur, piercing deeply with the polearm.
Unfortunately, the wolf is ready for that, and plants the warrior right back on the ground, worse for wear.
LGZ:
You have a standard action left in this round. I didn't want to make this choice for you, but one option is to drop the ranseur as a free action, and draw a non-reach weapon as a move-equivalent standard action. This would prepare you to attack from the ground next round, without needing to stand up. In your next post, feel free to take that action and it will still be a part of Round 2, if you so choose.
