That is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
Ahem…

I figured there should probably be a dedicated thread for this because this is going to be the biggest discussion around the two classes. To get us started, I’d like to give my thoughts, but I am conflicted.
I think Daredevil just about justifies itself in a vacuum. We don’t have a dedicated manoeuvre class. The closest would be swashbuckler, but they’re still only doing them as a means to an end, namely triggering panache. Daredevil wants to trigger adrenaline to do more manoeuvres for the most part and has massive action compression to achieve this. I am also sympathetic to the idea that it would be awesome if this was the sort of things anybody could do. I guess that’s true for every class, but it really stands out here.

Slayer on the other severed monster hand, I just don’t see it. Mark quarry feels like it has very similar problems to investigator where there’s a real chance it just isn’t going to come up, which is the kind of specificity that I really don’t want to see on a class. If this were an archetype feature, this would be more acceptable, as hyper-specific archetypes are common, and people haven’t really had much of an issue with them. It would also let people use the more interesting part of Slayer (Trophies) on any class, which suffers from a similar problem as Daredevil where it really is just something anybody could do.
I doubt Paizo are going to pivot at this stage, and I don’t mean to denigrate the work put into these classes by saying “Ew I don’t want them”, but I think they both need more work to justify them as their own thing. Daredevil might already be there to be honest, but slayer needs more. I think I would lean away from the tracking aspect (especially since it feels very ranger) and more into the trophy-gathering aspect. People bring up Final Fantasy’s blue mages here, and I think that’s a good idea. Battlezoo have already tried something similar, so it could work.
I’m very eager to hear everyone’s thoughts because I’m obviously stuck a bit in the middle of the discussion and I’d like to try and make up my mind.

Hi, I've checked if this has been answered elsewhere on the forums and I can't find it, but for some reasons I can't get my head around manifestations. Are they "always active" as long as I'm attuned, or do I have to pick one per attunement?

Imagine you sneak into paizo HQ, and successfully dodge the golems with laser guns I assume guard the premises, what book do you sneak into production?

Don't feel constrained by what is "realistic", go nuts. What book would you most want to see?

I've been having a blast theorycrafting with some of the weapons in SF2e, and I was wondering what sort of things people wish were in the game, either trait or flavour wise.

For me I definetly wish there was an automatic 1-handed weapon. I would very much accept low damage for the fun of spraying bullets/fire/godknowswhat everywhere from both hands.

Woo! Elemental Barbarian doesn't lock you out of all your impulses. That's made me sad for a while, so thanks for the correction. It's finally tiime to make my big hulk of metal barbarian.

Simple question! What characters that we know exist in the world, but haven't had "on screen" apperances would you want to meet? (In game, but I want to meet my choice IRL lol).

Mine is Rummbrrlar, Nivi Rhombodazzle's planar servitor. He's such a good mole and I would like to tell him that.

Is there anywhere we can go to find a changelog with the remastered guns and gears? There's a few scattered posts around the internet but I'm looking for something offical.

The red mantis are bigger fans of arts and crafts than I thought.

Hi!
I just wanted to comment my appreciation of the feats that both classes get that give them optional proficiency in certain weapons. For refrence, this is the Reaper's and Smith's weapon familiarty feats.

The broad strokes of the feats are perfect. I've long lamented the number of advanced weapons in the game that are functionally fighter features as if it's not ancestry-tied, you can't use it to its full potential. This is a great way to address that, and I hope we see other classes get similar feats. For example, giving alchemists access to all injection weapons, or magus familiarity with weapons appropriate to their hybrid study.

The main issue as I see is that there aren't actually that many advanced weapons in the groups runesmith gets access to, but there may well be some on the way in Battlecry!

(I also think that necro not going to master does put the limits on a melee-necro playstyle, but I don't know if giving the feat even alchemist scaling would be too much.)

Howdy!

I'm just putting something together for an upcoming session and I was wondering if anyone knows any good sources about the dimension of time. I'm aware the wiki has a bit, but it really isn't that much. I can obviously make my own stuff, and I most likely will, but if there's any more additional content I can draw on, I'd love to have a look.

Thanks!

Errata tomorrow? But I want it now!

Back on topic, I love the art with Dae center stage. Fantastic.

One of the things I'm excited about with WoI is the promise of new options for Nephalim, and I wanted to do a bit of fun speculation, because why not?

I had a look at what fiends/celestials don't have lineages yet, and the major standout for me was Divs. I can easily see a Divspawn (probably with a cooler name) heritage that lets you curse or otherwise undermine your target.

Does anyone else have any good bets on what we might see?
