Alright, just a quick question. You stated that you were one character short. Is this still the case?

Filled the last seat last night, Christoff van Alst.

Christoff, bad news you have to choose a different image , that one belongs to our friend Samduc Dawnbringer.

What's the final word on my character? are we good, or should i just be a fighter? or do i need to move on...

edit: i will clean it up if i'm in so don't think that'll be an issue

well i made the feat list and did equipment and now i'm going to have to do it all over again because i took too long. well here's the profile page for Mr. Obsessed

edit: forgot to mention, i will be using reach/brace weapons if i get in. i don't think this is a problem, but please let me know if it is

i forgot to name my character. lol

anyway i can go all fighter if its necessary, but i want a chance to defend the monk level(s). it seems like you need another character anyway

happy I didn't mean to blow you off. The thing that made me pause with your character was having monk levels with no monk flavor. I am OCD about that.

Also I have had more time to get to know these other guys in other threads where we talked a lot about playstyle.

yeah, you got a lot of threads going, besides that there was a reason in my motivations for the monk level(s) and it's that he is obsessed with being in complete control of his actions, hates being controlled and manipulated, and monks have good will saves. i will make it clearer in the revised backstory in case enchantments aren't common knowledge. there are a couple more mechanical reasons i want it. these are: evasion, maneuver flurry, 1 extra maneuver feat, and escape artist as a class skill. i will only go 2 levels and even then mostly to keep my fighter feats every even level. the exotic proficencies, wisom bonus, and stunning fist can be scrapped if you want.

** spoiler omitted **...

Backstory is cool. You know which monk archetype I would feel better about for this guy? Martial artist, because he has no ki pool. How would that work with your brawler?

Ki pool makes me think mystic, meditating type monk you know? Sorry I am so OCD about flavor matching mechanics.

sorry about response time, life happened. anyway, I'm not going far enough into monk to get ki pool so I don't see how this is a problem

edit: just looked at your response time, lol

background round 2:
grew up in a village at the edge of the Rappan wilderness. a bogeyman (evil fey) came out of the dragon swamp, and over the course of a week systematically wiped out the town when i was 12. sometimes personally sometimes forcing some of the villagers to coax people out of hiding places or just plain kill their loved ones. i was lucky, as far as i know i was the only one to escape to the road. when i did a merchant caravan was passing through and i begged passage and protection. eventually they got to where they were going and i fell in with the mercenary troupe that was protecting them. life was hell for years. i learned how to fight, i learned how to control the flow of battle around me, and i learned how to like it. eventually the troupe disolved over some petty squabble or another, and i was left to continue mytraining at Endhome. i joined the town guard there, and pushed myself harder than the mercenaries or even my current officers ever did. then something happened and i find myself in a rotting dungeon. how did that happen?

edit: have you looked at maneuver master(monk)?
