"Sure thing, m'Lord! I'll have this Whitehollow fella figured out in no time!" he says, wringing his hands a little. "Lord Christian, ya see, the Marmilades have been doing well enough without me, but I think it is time I started helping out with tha family business again. We're hooked up with Sapphira now, and between the uptick in business an' this enticing little task ye've given me, I think I'll be staying in tha city fer a while, if ye know what I mean, eh?"

Now that we've returned from the Dragons, this is about the point in time where the GM and I thought would be best for Booker to bow out. With his family economically connected with Sapphira's inn and an information gathering task to do, I think he'll be a little too busy to keep going on these adventures! I'm sure you'll see him around :) It has been a pleasure y'all, best of luck in this great game!

Before the Meeting when he can get a moment alone(ish) with Saphira

"Sooo... I got one ah these fer thah place here," Booker says, tugging open the mouth of a bag that contains the silver Desnan icons. "Think that'll do fer gettin' tha Marmilade's Marmalade in here?" He isn't quite successful in concealing his nervousness, but boy is he trying! This would be hust the break through we need! Come on, I did good by you, come ooooooon!

The Meeting
"Ye can't spend death tah rebuild yer homes, but ye can spend ah Dragon's Horde!" he chimes in as the people wrestle with the bomb that was just dropped on them.

Diplomacy (Aid) vs Lord Christian: 1d20 ⇒ 14 +4! :D

Booker barely manages to make it through the city gates before being accosted by the overwhelming love of the Marmilade horde. The Halfling manages to bob and weave through the blows of worry from his mother while answering his siblings questions. Mostly, anyways.

If only we could pay tha bills with all this good will we're building! I dunno what I'd do with three Dragons woyth ah the stuff, but golly it'd be something swell! "Lord Christian, I bet this is tha sorta thing that'll set our great nation apart from tha failed upstarts prior. Ain't nuthin' like some diplomacy an' friendship ta keep people united!" Booker comments.

"Would anyone be uhpposed tah putting the symbols in yer othah scaley acquaintance's tavern?" Booker pitches. "I'm sure she'd appreciate it!"

"I agree, an' I think if we take Syretia's suggestion tah heart, we'll be alright. We never 'ave tah say we killed tha Dragon!" Booker adds.

The melted Desna stuff that we showed Mercifax, did he take it or do we still have it?

"Lord Christian, uh, Dragons, if I may. I ain't any kinda noble, and I don't wanna put no words in yer mouth, ya got enough teeth the Heavens know ain't gonna risk it, but I'm willin' tah bet tha Marmilade's Secret Family Marmalade Recipe that the big guy ain't gonna grovel before a bunchah rubes fer forgiveness. Justice an' all be damned! But maybe some sortah public ceremony? Maybe the Lord here, as ah man fer the people, could accept some sortah gesture, some food, ah little riches and what not from Big Toothy, then give it out to the people of the Crossing?" Booker suggests, winding himself a little as the words pour out of him so quickly he forgets to breath for a moment. "Then we, ya know, pay off ah couple ah Bards tah fill tha rafters with tha Ballad ah Dragon Friends er somethin'. Make it ah yearly sortah tradition, I don' know."

Booker waits like a fawn circled by wolves for the Dragon to make the first move after his roar of anguish. I've seen sad boughts of destruction and angry boughts of destruction. Even happy ones while we snuck through a camp of Gorumites! I sure as Hell ain't making myself an obvious target. Dragons and their bigness and motion based vision...

Booker pokes his head around from behind Bydar's cloak. "Buhsides, whattah, you know, gotta lose if ya wait to kill us? If we're dupin' you, we're just as *gulp* soft an' squishy now as we'll be later!" he adds before ducking behind Syretia.

Booker stands in slack-jawed awe at the Dragon. Three Dragons... It's too many I say! Too many for one little Halfling! He has a hand in his pocket, clutching his trusty marmalade spoon. We'll get through this together or... well I guess I'll be Dragon-chow if we don't. Think he'll use my spoon?

Unless we have obvious reason that traveling to Mercifax is going to make minutes/level spells a waste, Booker will do his typical buff routine of Mage Armor, Extended Levitate, and Darkvision. Scorching Ray wand and Vanish (CL 2) scroll are in hand.

"OH! OH!" Booker adds, jumping up and down with his hand in the air. "And I can help! I'm good at that! Helping, that is," he clarifies.

Bein' alone in this world would be rough, I hope, fer her sake, that her Old Man is around still too! "So, uh, we gonna call it a day then? Like Bydar said, I'm running on fumes here and could use at least a good meal," he rambles a bit. "I ain't tryin' to impose or nothin', we could always hole up somewhere that ain't here!"

Sorry y'all, Friday was a doozy for me!

One small step for me, one giant leap for Halfling kind! The area around Booker shimmers a little and the invisible Halfling continues to be invisible somewhere to the Northeast.

Ok, ok, just like last time. Steady hand, anticipate the movement, aaaand.... A ray of fire sizzles across the air at the Dragon-battling Cold Rider as he comes back into view.

Scorching Ray (Sneak Attack, Invisible, Melee) vs Orsig (Touch): 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 2 - 4 = 94d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 4) + (6, 3) = 21
Dimensional Slide 30ft to current position (5ft of movement), and blast! I don't think that's going to make contact though -_- would have been some nice damage though!

Lol first time I've ever had the incorporeal part of Shield and Mage Armor work out in my favor like this! :D

Booker squeezes his eyes shut and braces for impact as the Shadow tries to drain his life force, but it seems to melt over and around him harmlessly. He blinks a few times before pulling a scroll and disappearing from view again. That was waaaay to close!

Booker frowns as the Cold Rider is cut off from their assault. Guess the eyeless snake is going down foyst!

Skirting the edge of the frozen stream, the Halfling takes aim with his wand and fires off a blast of intense heat. The very same writhing that spared the worm Lord Christian's slash ensures it catches the shot of fire in the mouth. As he melds into view, Booker's face is struck with horror. IT'S GONNA EAT ME!

EDIT: I'm certain I'm being dense, but I can't find the map for the lair! Regardless, what's our battle plan? Booker would like to sneak again, if possible. He'll be holding his wand of Scorching Ray again and another scroll of Vanish (CL 2). ALL THE SNEAK ATTACKS!

A win is a win and we'll write what we want! Not like the cultists are going to say anything about it ;)

Detect Magic!

Unfortunately unarmed except for a lean piece of leather, Booker settles for giving the Cult Leader a hearty boop on the nose! "Got your nose!" he taunts.

Rubbing his palms together, a considerable amount of electricity surges between them. When the Cultist glances over his shoulder to keep tabs on his allies, the Halfling leaps as high as he can. As the Cultist's face turns back towards him, it is intercepted by a wicked *SMACK!* as his little hand strikes his cheek. "Just kidding, you can have it back!" Curls of smoke leave the poor man's skin as he his jolted yet again.

Hot damn, that was one fer tha History Books! He pulls a club from his belt, eager for more!

No AoO for Booker, he only has a sling in his hand! Lord Christian, based on your post, I'm assuming you're using a reach weapon. If not, Booker would try to bait the AoO by moving into a flank with Brand. 5ft step, cast shocking grasp defensively, free action touch! Draw a club with his move action or on the move, depending on if Lord Christian is threatening or not.

Booker has every reason to believe he is impervious to damage ;)

"Okie-dokie, here we go!" Booker whispers to himself, his hand crackling with electricity. "I'M COMING LORD CHRISTIAN!" he screams as he comes careening around the corner.

Slipping under the Dragon's body, he pops out and taps the Cult leader on the leg. A burst of electricity explodes from his hand and into the poor sap.

Booker hoofs it around the bend and just starts to catch a glimpse of the battle unfolding in the other room. Tha Hell? Where'd Apothyl go? I'm seein' alotta stuff I shouldn't be able tah see, 'cause of her bigness! CAN DRAGONS BE INVISIBLE TOO?!

The poor Halfling pales a little as the ramifications of such an ability on such a ferocious creature dawns on him.

Booker jumps in place several times, his hands in the air, as Apothyl whips a cultist into a wall. Turning his attention to his own cultust, he whips a rock at his head, his own invisibility fading. There ain't a person ahlive who saw me cheerin' on ah Dragon. What ah bozo I am!

Hoping it was enough, he trots off after the Dragon. I gotta turn this into a book er somethin'. Or at least tell tha story far an' wide so's people know ah Halfling fought WITH AH DRAGON! I'd be so famous! We'd sell an awful lotta marmalade too...

"Catch me if you caaaaaan!"" Booker taunts as a scrolls slowly crumbles to dust in his hands. He disappears from view, then hustles towards what can only be the sound of a Dragon's claws churning the rocks of the ceiling.

Booker gets in as close as he can before unleashing a mighty blast from his wand!

Scorching Ray (Sneak Attack!) vs Foe within 30ft (Touch, FF): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 244d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 1) + (6, 3) = 19
Surprise round action is to cast Scorching Ray at a foe within 30ft to get sneak attack damage! If no foe is within 30ft, he'll cast Vanish from the scroll in his hand instead. The timing for this is whenever the others are ready to attack, it isn't meant to be Booker disregarding Lord Christian's question!

"We oughta punch 'em right in tha kissah while they got their pants 'round their ankles! They won't even know what hit 'em!"" Booker urges.

Booker gets into a low sumo squat, his arms bent at right angles and hands in the air. Skittering from side to side, he opens and closes his pinchers fingers as he heads down his tunnel. "What sound do crabs make, anyways? It's o' vital importance!"

"Wowzers, these Leshy fellahs are cute an' all, but take ah load ah all tha stuff tucked away in here!" Booker says, pointing out, but not touching, some of the hidden treasures of the room. "This ain't my lair, so as much as my fingers are itchin' tah fill my pockets, I ain't gonna be tha one that our newest Draconic eats fer dinner!"

Booker proceeds with his spellcasting. "I was born ready, I was!" he asserts.

I mean, to be honest, I didn't think any of them were going to help us directly! This is so cool :)

"OH! OH! I KNOW!" Booker says, jumping with his hand in the air. "NOW!" he cheers with a grin.

"I just need ah minute tah prep, see? Once we get close enough, anyways."

Got like hella buffs, so once we get in position to start moving through the tunnels, Booker will cast Extended (Mage Armor, Darkvision, Levitate). He'll burn an arcane point to cast Levitate at +1, so the durations are 10hrs, 10hrs, and 12minutes. He's going to walk in with a scroll of Vanish (CL 2) in hand and his trusty wand of Scorching Ray!

"Beenin' sneaky ain't never hurt no one. 'cept, yuh-know, tha goons on tha rahceivin' end!" Booker adds.

If we have an advantage against one group for sure, I think we should just take them out of the picture first, but ultimately as long as we try not to take them all on at once, I'm happy with anything! With our numbers, I think we should try to attack from two different tunnels.

GM, are there any knowledges we can roll on that juicy intel? Normally, as a player, I've heard enough about something to roll it right without looking it up, but there is enough in that paragraph that I don't know that I'd like to not spoil it for myself :)

"So, maybe, ya know, we only use tha weapon fer potential mercy-delivery upon Mercifax, then give it tah the Magnificently Silver Eranex?" Booker suggests, cupping his hands around his mouth to be heard from such a distance.

"TAH BATTLE!" Booker says, striking a pose with a finger pointed in the direction of where he thinks the lair is. "Shame I don' have ah bugle tah sound the charge... hmmm..."

He ponders the many and varied uses for a bugle as he positions himself at the back of their motley crew.

"Tha Mothah o' Monsters too?" Booker wonders out loud. "That's a lotta Divnity in one lair!" To prove his point, he shares everything he knows about Count Ranalc and Shyka.

Once questions have been asked and information shared, he looks to Lord Christian for a decision.

"M'Lord, is she sayin' we oughta fight wit' her? Ah Dragon? Wants us tah fight wit' her?" Booker asks with disbelief. Jeepers, ain't this gonna be ah story fer tha gran kids!
