I'd like to submit Bexerian deBonn (just 'Bexer' in most cases) for consideration. The profile is the character at level 1. If his class (Sythesist Summoner) doesn't immediately bin him, I can update to level for easily (and will take care to not build him overpowered).

I didn't choose a Kingmaker trait as one of his traits; if that is required, I can adjust. Mostly I'm playing off of the available options of having Numeria right next door.

With some misgivings, Bexer will ride forward, allowing prompting Fidge to attack, rather than drawing his greatsword.

Presuming the Kobolds do *not* stand down, Bexer will have Fidget attack:

Bexer moves his horse forward past Orsino, his posture relaxed, his movements non-threatening.

"Captain, these men are lying; the evidence is clear. You were sent by Restov to guard Oleg's Trading Post, were you not, and by your words there is no doubt that this is Oleg. Would Restov send you to defend a bandit and murderer?"

"Have we, in the main, struck you as bandits and murderers?"

"These men have come up with an interesting way to try and prevent us from further interfering in their operation, but that is all there is to it."

Bexer notes the amulets on the newcomer's belts, "hrm, I suspect someone else is hunting the bandits in the area, and thinks we may be poaching on their bounty."

Bexer rides casually, ready to draw if necessary, but with his sword sheathed.

Kesten might be a problem over time, but I haven't seen any indication that he's down to stealing at this point.

I have no issue either way regarding the alcohol. The rest of the loot should provide enough for Bexer's needs in the short term.

I marked the items in red on the loot sheet that I think we should sell, along with theoretical sale values (we'll need appraisals for some of the items, or just trust Oleg not to cheat us, which would be fine with me).

I know Ranzo would like to get a party fund established..does it sound reasonable to give the 'party fund' a double share (dividing all the current loot by 8, and future loot by nine)?

On hearing of Kesten's judgment, Bexer shrugs, Surprising, but just as well, I suppose. Now we can move on to other things.

"Oleg, I how much can you give us for this stuff, and can we get a better deal for store credit than for pure cash?"

Once dickering is done there, Bexer will approach the others, "I know we have some thoughts about where the leader of these bandits is, but I think it would be prudent to make sure there are no other camps nearby. I suggest we explore outwards in an arc moving southward, getting the lay of the land and clearing out any dangers as we go."

Bexer unrolls the rough map we have and runs his finger in a set of semicircular arcs (see the Google map for suggested order),"After we complete that, assuming we don't have reason to return before then, we return here, resupply and plan our next outing. Thoughts?"

hrm...Orsino is a no-brainer for Prosecutor.

I think I'd lean towards Komana as advocate. She has the same views as Mikhaela, and having a member of the nobility be part of the proceedings will help to legitimize them.

Judge is difficult...I suggest Tessandriel, As I think she has generally stayed apart from our various debates on the subject.

Bexer turns to the group in general, "Look, I know some of you are against killing these criminals regardless of their crimes, but it simply isn't practical to catch and release bandits in the wild. Petty criminals in the city may have some other alternatives, but these are not petty criminals, and we are not in civilized territory."

"We have the implied authority to decide not to kill those we find sufficiently repentant...that does not mean it would be responsible to withhold the legal punishment from every bandit who does not happen to fall in battle."

"I say we give them a quick and fair trial, vote on conviction or mercy, and exile those who don't merit the noose, to be summarily executed if they return. In an extreme case they could be allowed to work off their guilt, I suppose, but that really should be the exception, not the rule."

What Bexer knows about local Nobility will fill a very small scrap of paper...something he may need to work on :)

Since Bexer doesn't know he's a bandit...could just be a belligerent or scared hunter

I could take him *chances of fatal damage are approximately 2.5%*..shut up. But that's premature.

No action this round for Bexer, beyond checking the area to make sure there are no other people hidden in the grasses - Perception 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
