The fact that the page number references aren't italicized is meant to indicate that they're not a part of the book title, of course, but noticing a 6 or a 7 is italicized isn't always apparent, obviously.

Maybe have a system for Monster Core reference at the front of AP books.

Maybe have p85 Pathfinder Monster Core [p6], with explanation at the start.

But now I know, I'm cool . Loving the new shiny hardback format!

Hope you manage to get your books back from Diamond & get the legal rights back to do a new distribution deal to the UK.


There are monsters in this AP which state Monster Core 6 or 7.....

Eg p197

Given there are only 2 Monster Core books... thus?

Any thoughts?

Alas, no maps of the elemental planes though. Or lairs / locations with art & battle mats... (it has locations but no art/ map) or NPC organisations & their goals or a relationship diagram flagging up key allies or conflicts.

I guess it suffers from being a player book & GM one.

Don't get me wrong, Rage is a fab start. Lots of crunch & ideas for key locations.

I just hope that either Paizo or their freelancers create a GM guide & adventure seed splat book/ pdf AND that other planes get the same!


Hi all.

Was wondering if anyone knew if Paizo had any plans to delve more into the planes of Golarion? Planar Adventures was for 1e.....

With 5e bringing out Planescape anew, my interest in all things planar has been rekindled. Sure there is Gatewalkers- but I am talking a serious look at the planes in Golarion, their rulers,& exploration of how they interact with the material realm & each other. Like Keith Baker sets out in Eberron.

On p3 in the sidebar, for languages, the elemental languages for wood & metal are missing, as in:

Talican (metal) and Muan (wood).

Although these haven't changed as such, it surety would be good to flag them up here too?

2 sessions in and the players are most of the way to Level 2. They've missed a lot of secret doors and investigation spots. They glommed onto Boss Skrawng's map pretty hard and haven't even noticed the outbuildings and extra doors that he didn't draw. The Corpselights are a pretty nasty fight for first level characters! My party decided to half-ass running away when they realized that the things did a huge amount of damage, and it ended with a Corpselight using its cone attack while they were clumped up for a TPK. (I was also a little mean to them and started them at night, so it may have been a little more difficult than intended.) The party had broken through the stained glass window and were outside, so I had Wrin drag them back to town instead of making everyone roll new characters.

The Corpselights were the most dangerous encounter on 'Level One'. Nearly had a TPK as well. 3/4 PCS were down. The last PC lucked out on their rolls, when on 1hp! Epic!

About to hit the library on L3... should be challenging with the paralysis saves for each hit by the ghouls....

Following on from GM Steve (Recall Knowledge on YouTube) & his advice on running the AV, I've changed the text in the initial Roll20 Whispering Reeds tome (after making a copy!) & given them initial impressions from a quick perusal...

I will slowly give them its abilities.... without telling them its curse.. but I will drip feed them some warnings/ concerns/ contradictions....

Good news is that time is on my side I guess (AV will take another 15-20 sessions, ie weeks at a guess) & I could spend part of my summer break learning Foundry...

Don't understand Paizos lack of interest in Roll20.... unless it's simply they think its rubbish... but then why go to the effort of creating core book content for it but not AP? ‍♂️

Oh well!

Running The Abomination Vaults on Roll20 & having a blast.

Looking at what we could play next has made it abundantly clear that beyond the core hardback books on Roll20 (fine for homebrew campaigns) there is little love for Roll20 in terms of Adventures & Adventure Paths being converted for Roll20.

Does anyone have any knowledge about whether this situation is changing any time soon?

Really looking forward to running the new APs coming out (Gatewalkers onwards).... but we can only play them with adequate VTT support. Otherwise we will have to pivot to another game system whilst we wait! Not really keen on learning a new VTT in addition to running games since I am time poor. Fortunately Call of Cthulhu is relatively easy to run on Roll20 without the need to buy adventures. And I have Blade Runner rpg on Roll20 amongst other things.
