Ellena repeats the command word and the sword lights up, glowing with illuminated radiance.

Belgood instinctively shrinks back slightly from the sword's brilliance, and cannot contain a small whimper as he shields his eyes.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

"Do not know him, but some one may," the half-fiend says, being less circumspect in his glance at the merchant.

AoO; DMG; SNK: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 2 = 231d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 51d6 ⇒ 5
Crit Conf; DMG: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 = 81d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Once again, Belgood attempts to move in to distract the glaive-mistress and attacks.

Acro: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
ATH; DAM; SNK: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 2 = 141d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 51d6 ⇒ 6

Belgood tries to save his best damage rolls for times he can't hurt anyone.

Belgood steps behind the woman with the glaive, being somewhat wary of her reach, and attempts to slash at her hamstrings with his rapier.

Acrobatics to avoid AoO, if any: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
ATK+flank; Dam; Sneak: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 2 = 161d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 41d6 ⇒ 1

Seeing that Rashak is about to cast something, Belgood holds his action to see what the half-orc has in mind. Go ahead and cast color spray if you can get both, even if Belgood is in the AoE.

I had intended my trapfinding to cover the door as well, but I didn't make that clear, though I may just have rolled poorly. An earlier response from Belgood may have stopped the alarm, and for that I am truly sorry.

Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Belgood leaps back from the burst of flame, and curses under his breath.

"Sorry. Should have seen that. Will check other doors for similar alarms or other traps."

Trapfinding: North Door; South Door: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 151d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

I'm here. With GenCon less than a month away, and the mod I'm working being set front and center, I have been grounded from Fun until I finish it. I will try to get something posted by this weekend.

Looks like a missing bracket in Anevia's trap-check, Lyddy

Belgood inspects the apparent alarm as well, though it seems odd for the it to be on this side of the door.

Belgood continues advancing beyond the only known opponent, and moves towards the obvious exit from the room while looking out for hidden enemies or other doors.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Seeing that the Paladin had the only target occupied, Belgood attempts to scramble around the melee and take up a defensible position opposite the other entrance to the chamber.
Moving towards the side where the downed enemy is, climbing over the barricade if necessary.

Belgood follows Anevia's lead, and fires at her target.

Atk; Dam; Snk: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 191d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 21d6 ⇒ 5

"Should fire at the same target. Left side first," Belgood whispers, after disarming the crude alarm.

Attack, Damage: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 81d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Is it possible to move up on the two new guards unseen by hugging the walls, or will we be in plain sight as soon as we enter the chamber?

Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17

"Hope second time goes better," Belgood whispers to Anevia before they enter enemy territory once more. "Would like to get home."

"Could scout again, if you want."

Sounds good, though I would maybe add a quiver or two of appropriately sized arrows for myself and Anevia, should she decide to become right-sized again.

I'm here. I was keeping an eye on the other 2 NPCs so that they didn't get Horgus'd while y'all were helping Horgus. Also, work has been stupid.

Player is reminded that his plan won't work. Please disregard.

"A thought, sir elf," Belgood says as a sly twinkle appears in his eye. "Can you think of a being that can use senses other than eyesight to maneuver, above or below ground?"

The idea is to allow him to use the scale occasionally to Alter himself into something that doesn't require someone to lead him, and may even allow him to participate in the odd combat or two, if needed.

"Will stay down here and help watch this door."

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

"Would prefer to know for sure, before jumping straight into the 'holy cleansing' of the village. Lyddy, perhaps you could speak with one of them?"

Belgood tries once more to take down the crossbow wielder.

Atk; Dmg: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 231d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Once again, Belgood singles out the mongrel with the crossbow, and looses an arrow.

Atk; Dmg: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 251d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

"Have a rapier, Hargus, sir, but a small one."

Belgood decides against trying to ram another barricade, taking aim at the woman with the crossbow, instead.

Atk; Dam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 71d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Belgood climbs down the ladder, and readies to take a shot in the next round.

Belgood steps up to Rashak, and whispers, "Privy, in'nit?"

Know(Dungeon), Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 141d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Belgood lines up a shot, hoping to get one in before the hallway fills with his allies.

Atk; Dam; Sneak: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 121d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 31d6 ⇒ 1

Belgood looks over the fallen mongrel-woman.

"Think she carried anything useful?"

Belgood takes a shot, hoping to snake the arrow past his allies.

Belgood takes a shot at the lizard thing.

Attack; Damage; Sneak: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 201d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 51d6 ⇒ 6

If I still need to attack, after Rashak's swing:

Attack; Damage; Sneak: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 151d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 51d6 ⇒ 4

If not, I will move into the room ahead of the others and take a look around.

Belgood readies his bow, waiting for a decent shot.

Ouch. Using Chance Encounter

Stealth, take 2: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25

Belgood assists Anevia in creating a blind.

Belgood holds the bow with his left hand and draws his rapier, slashing down at the prone and partially covered mongrelman.

in for a penny...

Belgood, not able to get a good line on his target, squares his shoulders and rams the ramshackle barricade, hoping to bring the debris down on the wounded mongrelfolk.

Str: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Can I activate the scale and ram the barricade in the same round?

How sturdy are the barricades? They were described as being somewhat slapdash. The thought is to topple them onto the prone mongrelfolk.

DM Shisumo wrote:
Which of them did you shoot, Belgood?

I had assumed Anevia and I were working separate targets.

Have to make this count...

ATK, DMG, Sneak: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 201d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d6 ⇒ 5

Better. Not enough to keep them quiet, though..

Atk, DMG, Sneak: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 111d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d6 ⇒ 3
Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

No time for expletives.

Belgood does not hesitate to hand over the scale when Anevia asks for it.

Know(Dungeon): 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 = 14
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 15 + 2 = 26

"So. How do we do this, exactly?" Belgood asks the archer.

A post I made from work appears to have been eaten.

Silver scale can disguise three people, and Rashak's magic can hide the fourth?

Belgood's eyes go wide, and he takes half a step back.

"Wait, what? No! Meant maybe.. " he sputters, glancing up towards Rashak nervously.
