Sorry for the slight necro, but is Hellknight Leather and Lamellar(leather)PFS lagal to buy and start with, and do you have to be a Hellknight to buy and wear the Hellknight Leather? I guess you may as well just buy studded leather in lieu of the Hellknight Leather...

This dude was made for an evil campaign, but I can adjust him to a benevolent sort of chap!

The Exchange

Do you allow the additional traits feat? And on that note, is Signature Moves available?

The Exchange

Yeah, thank you guys for your feedback, but on that not (really merely for argument sake mind you) the wording on tumor familiar seems to never really state that it is a true familiar...just that it is created on the body and can detach itself as a separate creature "vaguely resembling a kind of animal suitable for a familiar" and that is "acts" as an alchemists familiar. And if it is a fact where an Alchemist must take a Discovery, is that really to mean he is "entitled" since classes like witch and wizard etc. are automatically "entitled" as a first level class power...

The Exchange

Yes Gisher, thanks...but I am not asking about taking a Tumor Familiar to Improved. I am asking about alternate ways of an alchemist getting an Improve Familiar...and if they can...why is it that they would not be allowed to get the Tumor Familiar Discovery afterward since they are merely "lumps of flesh in the shape of an animals" as they have stated...other than somewhere it has been supposedly clearly stated that you cannot have multiple familiars

The Exchange

eldritch heritage states you get the first-level bloodline power treating your caster level for that power as your character level-2. The first level arcane bloodline gives a familiar for the first level power.

So may a 9th level alchemist take Eldritch Heritage (arcane bloodline) gain a familiar as an effective sorcerer level of 7 and thus get an improved familiar?

I understand you aren't supposed to be able to have two familiars, (though there has been some debate as to this by a few due to tattoo familiars and archetypes that allow for companions etc.) but assuming the Eldritch heritage route above is valid, is an alchemist then locked out of the tumor Familiar Discovery? And if you take a level in Wizard may you then get a bonded object as well...the Eldritch Heritage feat (arcana) says that "this ability doesn't let you get a familiar and a bonded object, but it seems that it is simply stating that you don't get both from the bloodline itself and taking a level in wizard is getting it by a different means.

And while I have your most gracious attention...just for clarity...you may not take a cross-blooded line for the eldritch heritage feat giving you two 1st level bloodline powers even if you have the proper skill focus requirements for each bloodline.

I have also heard that the spell knowledge has been given the green light for Alchemists to gain an improve familiar and item creation feats as well by giving an effective caster level.

And if alchemists were not supposed to be considered Arcan Casters to begin with why does the Hidden priest false arcanist power specifically list Alchemists in there/

So many questions...

If you ever run this...I would be interested

But tell me more about Potion Glutton! Where is it? The Inner Sea Gods Guide? What is the Benefit? What are the prerequisites? Can you use it with Alchemal Extracts? Gimme gimme gimme! I wanna see! I wanna see!

Potion Glutton

You gulp down potions with unsettling speed.

Prerequisites: Worshiper of Urgathoa.

Benefit: You can drink potions, elixirs, or other potables as a swift action without provoking attacks of opportunity.

Normal: Drinking potions is a move action that provokes attacks of opportunity.

Pretty crazy. Its going to have errata, at least for the wording of its normal. Drinking a potion isn't normally a move. As written, other potables may include extracts.
I'd like to think I'm a pretty laid-back GM, but interpreting this feat as granting you the effects of Quicken Spell for free on every extract you prepare is a bit too much IMO. Anyone who does allow such an interaction is going to see some drastic consequences, as it would break the Alchemist class.

They ruled in invalid with extracts and in the same FAQ stated it should say Move action, I believe, because the broken text "Normal: Drinking Potions is a move action" which it is normally a standard action but Accelerrated Drinker + Potion Glutton should make ita swift action SANS extracts...still a useful feat...Alchemical Allocation and all

BIO:
Reno was born the most promising son into the house of a very proficient Plaguebringer. Dallying on the surface one night he came in the midst of a grand feast and thus got a taste for excessive partying. His ability to analyze the resulting hangover led him to realize that, if you were gonna be able to totally defile yourself in excess, you better be able to handle the consequences. This epiphany led him down a more curative path (much to his father's chagrin.) The quicker you (and your friends) recover, the faster you get back to the party-and dead people can't party...Uh, wait, can they? Nah... not interested in finding out. This curative path led him to be "asked to leave", so he left with a small fortune and set out to make his way. Reno understands there is a certain balance in life, but ultimately everyone is out for themselves. Law and chaos are inevitable...Chaos is there to keep things interesting,Law is there to simply hold the chaos in check enough to keep things functioning and cash in on it.

Cooperation is necessary-"What? They call it an adventuring party? I'm in! Besides, partying alone is for losers. I at least need someone strong enough around to haul the keg!" He has been able to thus far suspend his excesses enough to seek out the support of those who would help his grand plan-to build a small kingdom whose sole purpose is to provide an arena for gluttonous excess...pay for the party on the way in...pay for the cure on the way out. Those who are there to facilitate this are good with Reno-he knows the benefits of loyalty! Those who would get in the way of the party...well, they're better off dead (or maybe undead) anyways!
