At what he judges to be an hour or so before dawn, Balnar nadges Rall awake. "Keep an ear open," he murmurs, "I am pretty well certain we were followed by that 3rd one but for some reason he does not want to make a move." He waits a moment or 2 for any reply Rall has then gets himself settled for some hard earned sleep.

With a slight step to the side to open the a greater angle of attack and to allow Rall to flank if this bastard is still up next round, Balnar takes a swing that is although accurate, not as damaging as it could be. Attack: (1d20+5=23, 3d6+6=12) Sorry, subtract 2 from that attack roll, used the wrong modifier)

With the sound stopping suddenly, Balnar knows the element of surprise is lost and makes an attempt at bum rushing the first opponent he sees. If he is able to get an attack in: Attack Roll: (1d20+5=22) (-2 if he cannot get a charge in)

Hefting his axe, Balnar starts moving towards the goblins with surprising stealth. If needed, Initiative Check: (1d20+2=14)

Balnar shakes his head when he realised what Bowen is trying to do. He waves his hand to get to get everyone's attention, then holds up one hand. He silently counds down from three on his fingers then makes a punching motion, waiting to see if the others understand before jerking his head in the direction of the goblins.

"If we must travel through the night, then so be it. But first I must ask Fee something," turning to Fee and looking him in the eye, "do you feel that you could keep up with us? Or would you prefer to hitch a ride on my back? Either way is OK by me, but do be aware that if we do travel on by night, we will want to move as quickly as we can afford to to get to those kids."

Round 1: move 40' to within reach of the beast, activating rage and power attack(1) and taking a swing... Attack Roll: (1d20+4=24) - Critical threat!
Round 2: If he is still in my face, beat on him again. If not, charge if I can (Add 2 to attack and damage). Attack Roll: (1d20+4=6) - (miss either way)

"Great, just great... Fee's dissappeared somewhere and I've got some great cursed nicks in me blade. It's gonna take a week to hammer these out." Grumbling and griping, Balnar eyeballs the remains of the cauldron, then the rest of the room. Dropping his axehead to rest it on the ground, Balnar gathers his breath... "FEE! Where in the name of Gorum's soggy jockstrap are you?!" Having made enough noise to wake the dead 2 towns over, scare the girl nearby almost senseless and somehow managing to profane the god of combat's underwear all in one breath, a slightly panting Balnar starts looking for cupboards and other hidey-holes the diminuitive priest might turn up in. At this point, Balnar is starting to get the look, which among men of Balnar's stature, tends to mean something is probably going to get thoroughly mangled in the near future.

Attack of Opportunity: (1d20+5=19)
Getting into his rhythm, Balnar's next swing is much more precise.

"Don't fret now, you will be safe with us." Reaching into his pack, Balnar removes his winter cloak and settles it on the girl's shoulders. "Now if you stay close to Sherrif Rall here, I imagine he would be very good at keeping you safe, would you be able to guide us to where those childre have been taken? There is a very good chance they could be in serious trouble and need our help." EDIT: I just now relised the irony of calling Rall 'sherrif', not because of his class but rather because it was just mentioned to me that Sherrif is apparently most commonly used in the Forgotten Realms to refer to a Halfling Paladin.

Spoiler: As I suspect we are about to see some action, and I am going to be out of town for a few days, I will leave you with a few pre made rolls for you to use as you see fit. 8 attack rolls with damage and 8 miscellaneous rolls which you can use combined with the mods on my character as you see fit.
All attack rolls are assumed to be unmodified (no power attack, no charge etc). The only automatic condition I use, is to rage automatically the moment I drop below 1/2 health (+2 Attack, +3 Damage, +2hp, +2 Fort, +2Will, -2AC) Confirmation roll on the threat: 1d20+3, 6d6+12=[12, 3], [1, 5, 2, 3, 3, 4, 12] Miscellaneous Rolls:
