Hey Rorek, since we're not going through with this campaign for the time being would you be able to set it to inactive? Just to help clean up everyone's profiles?

Balgrim studies the small stone creature, "I know well that Torag's blessing can guide great works of stone and steel."

He raises the rune inscribed greatsword, "I crafted Vigilence under the guiding hand of the Father. Together with Loyalty it has served me well in the years since."

As far as I know. Rorek told us a while ago the campaign isn't going to start proper until the 16th. It's a wait but we can at least get a feel for our characters in the meantime.

Balgrim shifts his grip on his greatsword, "The will of Father and the cold steel to back it up. As any good disciple, I'm also a fair hand at the forge, and you Stoneshadow?"

I think we could use some more information to get us started. Where are we precisely and where is this expedition headed? Also, who has gathered us all here?

It's generally easier to simply level up where appropriate.

Balgrim considers Volagr, his eyes narrowing, "I know little of the stars but it is in the earth beneath our feet and the pounding beneath our breast where you will find Torag's will. The Father of Creation sculpted both and in all his creations did he imbue a spark of the divine."

A tall dwarf with the scarred look of one used to battle enters the chamber. His scalp is shaved except for a ponytail help in place with an iron ring. Heavy armor of thick iron plates covers all but his face. Each plate inscribed deeply with dwarven script. Those with the right background note that they are the words of Torag's holy book Hammer and Tongs. The wicked looking greatsword leaning against one shoulder is similarly inscribed.

Halting at the large central table, the dwarf plants the sword point-first in front of him and resting both gloved hands on the hilt. Looking around the chamber he takes in the features of those gathered with hard eyes, "So you are the others gathered to lead this expedition? Well met, I am Balgrim Forgesworn and I will see Torag's will upheld for those in our charge."

Well that will certainly give us time to get to know each other! I'll have something to post in that regard later today.

Rorek, would you be able to set up a gameplay thread for this campaign? Dotting it will add the campaign to our profiles for easy access.

Wow, so the writing of Balgrim's backstory kind of got away from me. I think it is finally tentatively finished though. I might make a few small alterations here and there or add a little to the end about tracking the orcs down. As well as maybe adding something to tie him in if he's selected for the campaign and we know more about it's start.

But for now I need to head out for the evening. I hope you enjoy what I have put together. I think he captures the my image nicely.

So it looks like I'm glad of the deadline shift. Have not ended up with nearly as much time today as I'd hoped.

Might be tomorrow by the time I can sit down and finish the backstory. Wanted to get the alias and my crunch up now to show I'm making progress though!
