Ayrii, undisturbed by the smoke that's bothering his master, has only Robyyn's original command still on his mind. He circles in place above Kafar. Suddenly his shadow on the ground seems to grow larger as the bat screeches noiselessly at the Aspis agent. The no-longer bat-like shadow stretches and grows in ways that assault primal fears, hearkening back to the beginnings of life on Golarion, and the dark things that used to call this plane home!

I don't read anything in either Fearsome Shadows or cause fear to indicate that sight is required for it to work, though obviously the presence of light and use of shadows strongly suggests it. So, I hope this still works!

Also, I'm not sure how to calculate the Will save for this effect, and HeroLab didn't calculate it for me.

Unlikely though it is, Robyyn's hand finds its mark! Ayrii falls a foot or two out of the sky before catching himself again, then flies around Robyyn's head in frustration before the witch's words sink in. He flits down near Amun-Heth's shoulder and nips at the man, attempting to wake him from his reverie as well.

Actions:

Standard: attack Amun-Heth

Bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Damage, P: 1d3 - 5 ⇒ (3) - 5 = -2

It seems he just needs to attack, not necessarily hit. At least, I hope so.

Ayrii hears Robyyn's call, but can't seem to summon the aggression required for even a friendly nip. The bat flits and flutters around Amun's head, casually enjoying the day in this mountain pass.

Ayrii continues flitting forward, attempting to fly through the crack in the mountain.

Not knowing the DC, that doesn't seem good enough to assume that Ayrii succeeded. Please move his token appropriately based on the result. I wouldn't complain if Ayrii received a circumstance bonus for being Diminutive and trying to fly through a crack that Medium sized creatures struggle through.... ;)

A tiny bat emerges from the tangles of Robyyn's beard, listening at its master's lips to whispers of command. The most perceptive might even detect a nearly imperceptable nod before the bat flits forward, hot on the path of the Aspis agents.

Ayrii unfurls his wings, flapping them slowly at first--to get his bearings--then beating a couple powerful strokes to lift the vial away from Robyyn's grip. He circles his witch's head twice, moving not quite as fast as before.

Appearing comfortable with the flask in his grasp, Ayrii once again returns to Robyyn's outstretched hand, allowing the witch to pluck the flask out of the air. Ayrii gently hangs from the flask, waiting to see the kindling begin to rise to the top of the ice.

As Robyyn looks up at the ice block, Ayrii flits out from the wisps of Robyyn's beard. The bat circles the sylph's head twice, then heads up into the darkness above and around the ice block.

The bat flits out of Robyyn's tangles again, striking forward to explore the passage ahead.

Ayrii will explore the passage until he discovers the source of the noise. He receives a sense of danger through his empathic link, so he proceeds cautiously, ready to return at any evidence of a threat.

Ayrii flies out towards the figure, flying above and around him, trying to determine who or what it is, and what it might be doing there.

(Ayrii will fly as close as 20' so that he can use both blindsense and low-light vision to investigate the figure.)

As Robyyn retreats, his little bat emerges and starts flitting around. Periodically, he swoops in towards the swarm, snatching up a little tasty treat, but it makes no practical difference to the capabilities of the swarm. But is quite yummy!
