Aviz nods numbly. At this point he was casting his fate with them, which is what prompted him to stop ignoring the dire situation of his wounds.

"Seeking to eradicate the source of the kobolds seems extreme, and out of our grasp. Perhaps we should focus on finding who we suspect to be the local group's leader." Aviz suggests. He looks at the lead goatman. "Would you have any idea where we could start such a search?"

So a wild ally to go with our wild enemy? Aviz wonders. He sips the tea slowly, not really caring for the taste but not wanting to be rude. "We share a common enemy. Perhaps we should point our swords together?" And be thankful I only knocked that one out of its tree instead of cutting him in half. Aviz thinks, wondering where they would have been if he had taken a more aggressive tactic.

Aviz raises a brow, surprised at the level of class suddenly shown. He goes from thinking he is walking amongst primitives to feeling like he doesn't belong in the snap of a finger. "Erhm, yes, thank you." Aviz takes a cup and sniffs it.

Aviz gets more and more unsteady as they move forward. While the goatmen were not fierce combatants, they were competent enough, and being lead into a trap or even superior numbers could spell their deaths. He gets more and more jittery as they go deeper into the forest, his head jerking around at every noise. But once in the mountains he relaxes; here he could use air superiority if he needed it.

As they pass the traps, Aviz watches how they bypass them very carefully, doing his best to memorize the trap locations and ways of bypassing in case they need to come this way again without the aid of the goatmen.

Aviz looks to the other when they are ushered to enter. Do we have any ways to converse with these creatures? He wonders.

Aviz tries to slash the creature as he stands but finds himself too close and his blade falls short. He snarls in pain at the gore, but sees they're deadlier with bows than their horns. He is about to slash at the creature when he feels the arrows in his back. "Raaahhh!!!" He whips around in anger and charges into the kobolds, ignoring the archers behind him.

Charge 15 feet, two squares down-right diagonally. Attacking the two archers on the top right.

Attack (power attack, charge): 18 + 4 - 1 + 2 = 23
Damage (power attack): 9 + 4 + 3 = 16

Confirm: 15 + 5 = 20
Crit Damage: 1 + 7 = 8

Cleave: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 jesus

Feels really nice to be able to play a fighter and make tactical decisions like that, as opposed to "I hit the guy".

Aviz darts forward, bringing his fauchard high into the air. When he reaches the archers he brings his weapon up and tries to hook one of them to bring him to the ground!

Reposition: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Move to get underneath the archer on the right. Standard to attempt a reposition maneuver to knock him off the branch and bring him to the ground. I thought reposition would be the best combat maneuver for that, let me know if its not.

I suppose I could retool Aviz as a ranger to make up for skills, because yeah as is my character is not built at all for social encounters but I feel like it's getting dropped on him all the time to keep the plot moving.

Aviz grabs some rocks, big enough to have an impact but small enough that he can throw them, and makes his way to the top of the cliff. "Stand clear!" He shouts. He starts lobbing the rocks into the trap, trying to set it off.
