"Come now Lenthus, how often do you get a chance to crash a Myconid wedding?" Aten giggles to himself at the thought. "Let's go!"
"Sounds like we have a plan then."
Aten merrily orders himself a meal and chomps down. "Must we return to the surface? I was starting to like it down here!"
Aten, tired of fighting the ooze unleashes a mighty ray of frost fueled with all his magical might.
Aten keeps backing up his allies with rays of frost.
Having only just noticed the second creature at Lenthus's call, Aten turns and blasts it too.
Aten grins as magic continues to flow through him. He tosses another ray of frost at the ooze.
Aten feels the loving caress of magic flow into his body as danger presents itself, Somehow, it feels like it has been ages!. He flexes his magical muscles, blasting the gelatinous creature with a sharp ray of frost.
"This city is an odd one. You'd expect more... city, less oddities." He examines the gates himself.
We still have Lenthus, Vothe, Ril, Aten and Varis.
"To be honest, all the names of districts for this city seem silly to me! And as we saw with the Pudding Court, names can be deceiving." Aten grins as he says it.
"Fascinating." Aten stares at the sphere and the slimes with awe, and has to be dragged away to continue on to a different area of the city.
Aten goes silent for a time and after watching Bryn's body turn to ash he speaks again. "The Pudding Court next then was it?"
"Well, I imagine he wouldn't be upset if we sold his magic armour to revive him. So shall we find a buyer?" Aten looks to Ghiv and Jimjar for direction.
"Wherever you go, I will follow! I find this city simply fascinating!" Aten buzzes with his excitement.
A wide grin opens on Aten's face as the sights and smells of this city lift him up. He holds himself back from dashing through the streets and giggling madly. "Ah, civilization, I did not realize how much I missed thee!" He turns to Jimjar and Ghiv "Where would you suggest we go next friends?"
"Yes, we are good friends of Ghiv here!" Aten is entirely oblivious to the fact that Ghiv probably doesn't like him very much after the tomb.
Aten's nearly child-like fascination with the world around him doesn't waver as they enter this new city. He gazes about with wonder and excitement. "Do you think Bryn would even want to be resurrected? What if he is in some wonderful heaven right now, having long philosophical discussions with his god? That's what I hope for when I die." His face turns serious as he considers "I suppose we should give him that choice if we can though."
"I like you Varis, you know how to enjoy yourself down here and can take humour in it, I appreciate that. My name is Atendarius Kraye, but you can call me Aten." He offers a hand to shakes and smiles with his slightly mad smile.
As the spider continues to miss its attacks Aten begins to grow bored with the creature, his frostbites lazy and lacking power.
Aten continues to rain frost on the unhappy spider.
Aten continues his best attempt at covering the spider in hoarfrost.
Aten keeps up the barrage of Frostbites, hoping to stop the spider from ever hitting him.
Aten winces at the assault of the spider, but manages to save himself from too much damage with a hastily erected shield.
He then counterattacks with another frostbite.
Aten switches up tactics, aiming to weaken the creature attacking him.
Aten eyes the nearest spider, launching one of his patented rays of frost at it.
Aten barely notices the elf being cut free of the webbing, his mind focused on the burning webs and the spiders, his body ready to launch into action.
Aten launches a chilling bolt of frost down at one of the monstrous spiders, hoping to slow its advance on Ril.
Aten tosses in his own ten gold pieces and takes his turn with the gourd. "An interesting turn of events!"
Having lost his grip the first time, Aten gives climbing the rope another try.
"The money? Oh sure, I am fine with an even split." Aten finds himself greatly entertained by the lightblade.
Aten is too excited over the prospect of the talking sword to pay Ghiv's irritation much mind. He nearly skips toward Vothe and begins to examine the blade while it is still in Vothe's hand.
Aten contiues to rain frost down upon their foe.
Aten keeps launching bites of magical frost at the Wraith.
Hey guys, the power supply in my computer is kaput, so I might post less frequently for a few days until I get a new one.
Aten reels back from the vicious assault the Wraith launches toward him and returns it with a bite of frost meant to slow the monster's attacks.
Aten laughs at the sight of another foe, "Well, at least there is only one this time!" Magic begins to crackle in his veins. He lets it forth in two great shards of ice flying at the Wraith.
Aten unslings his 100 foot silken rope from his backpack, "I believe this shall do, where should I tie it down?" Aten looks about for somewhere to secure the rope and does so when he finds something. He will then climb down.
Aten nods to Ghiv, "If I'm alive, you'll get it." He grins wildly.
"See? The voice is still here, can we really risk the chance that leaving could be leaving someone calling for help to die?"
Aten returns from his thoughts, only now realizing the argument taking place. He turns to Ghiv and speaks surprisingly calmy, "We followed a voice asking for help and were then attacked by these Spectres as we searched. We have put some undead to rest and still haven't found the one who needs us. Ghiv, you could be right that we are making a mistake, but we could also be saving a life that Bryn himself wished to save. I intend to continue onward, for Bryn, for the voice, for curiosity and for treasure."
Aten doens't notice the discussion of the others, so busy is he in inspecting the north east sarcophagus. Without even turning his head he asks the others, "Does someone want to help me move this?"
