Bond: Years ago, I lost people I loved in a raid by creatures from the Underdark. They disappeared without a trace, either slain or taken into the depths, and I have always wondered whether they might still be alive and held as prisoners. (Or in the case of my mother, that she may have returned to the ways of the Drow and become a monster)
I was born in the underdark. My mother was a Drow, before I was born she made a terrible mistake. She fell in love with a human slave. They ran away together and she gave birth to me as they made their way through hell. The first years of my life were spent down there in the dark. Eventually we found an outpost and were taken in and then brought to the surface to be with my father's people. It was hard for my mother, she was not treated well and while she loved my father she still had a heart steeled by the inferno of Drow society. The night the Drow came for her -for us- she didn't even fight back. She made sure I could escape and then she let them take her. My father died trying to convince her to stay with him -with us-. I've wandered ever since. I found a troupe and learned to perform, to tell stories, to play the viol and to sing. As long as I keep moving I can ignore the pull the underdark holds on me, but every day that urge grows stronger. I know that one day I will return to the place of my birth.
