Regarding the linguistics aid, I would respectfully disagree. I may not understand a language, but I can point out certain oft-repeated phrases, words, or letters. The DC 10 of such a check would be representative of whether or not I am pointing out those elements that are intrinsically helpful. The fact that Linguistics is trained only would already factor in the reality that a linguist should know what to be looking for to get a general jist of the sentence. That said, having had to personally fight off people using aid another on knowledge skills, I'm not overly concerned should you maintain your initial position. Just makes me add Thassilonian to the list of languages that never truly lose value.

"Interesting stuff"[ she concludes "But that doesn't tell us much about our grotto. Or any more about that "cleric" who stopped on by. So, I think I'm going to get me some daggers and we shoudl be oon our way!" Would it be possible to purchase about five cold iron daggers, and a bandolier? Just remembered my sheet had a big GET A RANGED WEAPON on it, so I'd also spring for a composite longbow and 40 arrows.
