Grand Lodge

"Once more we see the self-righteousness of Andoran ideology rear it's ugly head. To declare any who call upon the minions of the outer realms to be no better than slave masters, is to admit your own slavery to such outdated and ignorant concepts of morality.

It's time that you open your eyes, and realize the truth of things. The truth that we do not enslave such creatures, we set them free from their bonds. If they chose to destroy our enemies then so be it. If the blood of demons call for the anger of devils, or the righteousness of angels, let it be done."

Esteemed Venture-Captain

I write to inform you that our mission to relieve the plight of Kalkamedies met with success. I must admit that I had my trepidations regarding this assignment, allow a sleepwalking old man to lead us through the dead of night. However, your suspicions were indeed correct, the old man did lead us straight to the black edifice. I do regret that he did not possess details maps of the area, nor is my knowledge of such cartography skills up to the task, an oversight I hope to quickly resolve in my future duties to the Grand Lodge.

As for the Black Edifice, I believe the structure was of Thallasion design and origin. The entirety of the structure phases in and out of existence with the light of the moon, quite a unique defense. I would hate to imagine what happens to those within should the building phase out with a living being within. Initial scans of the structure indicate an overwhelming aura of conjuration, far more powerful than any I have seen to date. I believe this place was part of the Thallosian School of Sloth, a powerful cabal of conjurers from ages long past.

After exploring the upper level of the Black Edifice, Kalkamedes lead us in his stupor to the lower levels. Within lied a nightmare, a powerful demon, an enslaved azata, and an dragon turned to undeath. A difficult task indeed for an inexperienced band of pathfinders such as ourselves, but we were up to the challenge this day. Sadly we lost 2 of our companions to the savage claws of the gelugion. Thankfully they will be able to be returned to life. As for me, I must admit, after tending to the ghaele, I heard her in my mind... and for a moment, it was as a burden had been lifted from my very heart. I know not what it was she did to me-- no, what she did for me, but I know now where I belong. I've at last found purpose in my life, a reason for being...
