How would Asmodeus (or his kennel master, most likely) train a new litter of Nessian Hell Hound pups to do the things described or implied in their text in Bestiary 1?

They are outsiders and have an INT of 4, so the Handle Animal skill definitely does NOT apply in this case.

Regular Hell Hounds have an INT of 6, and the text makes it clear that they are not "pets." See the Fire Giant example in the Hell Hound text.

Are Nessian Hell Hounds more like pets because their INT is 4 instead of 6, or would they also consider themselves "allies" of their Master, assuming it wasn't Asmodeus?

I ask because the scenario I'm imagining is that, in return for some excellent service to Asmodeus, he gifted an Antipaladin Tyrant adherent a reward of several Nessian Hell Hound pups for him to use as guards for his lair/castle/stronghold, or whatever.

How would said Antipaladin train those pups to track enemies, attack intruders, and protect the stronghold in general?

Thanks.

So, as far as all the resources on the web, like the various wikis and Book 6 of Shattered Star and Book 5 of Return of the Runelords, pretty much all have the same texts describing the stats of the Sihedron Major Artifact.

What I'm looking for are the stats of the Sihedron that, as I recall, apply to the entire party in case the DM thinks it will be too much of a PITA to constantly shift the Sihedron between players and change the upward-pointing part of it for whatever benefit the PC wants for that particular round.

I seem to remember that one of those quick common powers was a +4 to whatever stat the player wanted to add to their character. Could tell you what type of bonus that was, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't an Enhancement bonus.

Does that ring any bells for anybody?

If it does, can you tell me where to find that version of the Sihedron?

Thanks.

There's a list of Infernal Duke traits under the Lorthact entry in the Inner Sea Bestiary, but they seem a little too personalized to him.

I could swear there is another, more generic, entry for Infernal Duke traits in another book somewhere, but I'm having no luck finding it.

Can somebody help me out and tell me where to find it?

Thanks.

P.S. I've looked in the Universal Monster Rules on the D20PFSRD site, and it's not there, either.

I'm making a Mythic Brawler (20/10) and obviously I'd like to take some Combat Maneuvers to specialize in by taking the Improved and Greater versions, including the Mythic Improved X feats.

After looking at my number of feat slots, both non-Mythic and Mythic, I figure I can concentrate on three (3) combat maneuver lines.

I think Improved Trip, Greater Trip, Mythic Improved Trip and Improved Sunder, Greater Sunder, Mythic Improved Sunder are no-brainers.

My question to you fine folks, then, is what should be my third line of combat maneuver feats?

The Grapple line appears to be a contender, but so does Disarm.

I don't care too much about Bull Rush or Overrun.

Of Grapple or Disarm, which should I choose and why?

Also, am I missing something extraordinary about either Bull Rush or Overrun that I should consider one of those as my third Combat Maneuver instead of Grapple or Disarm?

FYI, the character will be a Large character so that's probably something to consider.

Thanks.

I have an Antipaladin Tyrant 20/Mythic 6 character who has the Leadership feat. His cohort is an Ukobach devil (5 HD) Expert 13. He's essentially a smith who runs the Antipaladin's forge and does not go adventuring.

This Antipaladin has just taken the Crusader Mythic Ability which essentially allows him a second cohort.

My question is, what should this cohort be?

I'm thinking either some sort of cleric or a mage-type.

I like the thematic idea of a Cleric of Asmodeus cohort (the AntiPaladin is also a worshiper of Asmodeus), but since the Antipaladin is already somewhat of a divine caster, an Arcane cohort might provide better versatility.

To give you an idea of the kinds of adventures the AntiPaladin has had and will likely have in the future, he lives in Cheliax, is the lictor of his own Hellknight order in Westcrown and hates undead. In one of his most recent adventures, he and another Antipaladin associate permanently destroyed the three graveknights in the old Citadel Gheisteno between Nidal and Cheliax.

I can see he *might* at some future point "interact" with Tar Baphon in the future.

I can also make a good case for why an 18th level Wizard, Sorc, Magus or even Arcanist might be a good choice for a cohort.

Maybe someone else might make a good cohort for my AntiPaladin?

Any thoughts on who/what that cohort would ideally be would be appreciated.

I'm not a very big fan of multiclassing, but a prestige class isn't off the table in my mind.

FYI, I have put a lot of thought into making an 18th level Bladebound Kensai Magus, but I would like to hear what others might think. Yes, a melee partner is certainly attractive, but not absolutely necessary. And, again, another divine-type (cleric, warpriest, oracle, etc) is not out of the question.

Thanks!

Let’s say there a dragon with class levels in monk.

Let’s also say the dragon attacks with its flurry of blows.

Since it’s making attacks with its flurry of blows (unarmed strikes using its claws, “knees,” “elbows,” and “feet”), does it also get any of its natural attacks along with its flurry? I can see not getting wing attacks, its crushing attack, and even its tail slap. Those could conceivably be considered to be unarmed strikes.

What about a bite attack? That’s definitely not an unarmed strike, so its technically not part of its flurry of blows. Regardless, could a monk with a bite attack still bite even if it was performing a flurry of blows?

Scarab Sages

It’s a very powerful Imperial dragon, but which variety?

Is it a powerful Sovereign dragon or maybe even a unique kind?

Do they just lay them and leave their young to their own devices like sea turtles do?

Do they lay the eggs and incubate them by sitting or laying on them and then raise them when they hatch like birds do?

If dragons incubate and raise their offspring, do you think a female dragon would notice if there was an extra, smaller egg (say a kobold egg made its way into the clutch somehow) in her clutch or would she just care about protecting them in whatever way was necessary and raise whatever hatched?

I'm guessing the kobold would hatch first, assuming the female dragon didn't just destroy the smaller egg as soon as she noticed it in her clutch, and I'd also guess said dragon would treat the kobold differently (probably by eating it), but let's suppose a rather inquisitive dragon did not destroy the egg and did not devour her newly hatched kobold. Let's say she didn't do that because she wanted perform an experiment to see how a dragon-hatched (you know, with all those draconic/magical energies a dragon has going on all about her) kobold would turn out compared to how a normally hatched one would?

I guess it would clearly depend on the particular dragon and how they prideful versus how curious they were, right?

But if female dragons just laid eggs and left them alone, I'm thinking a kobold wouldn't have much of a chance to survive very long amongst their draconic clutch mates.

What do you think about female dragons and their clutches?

Po Li is the seat of the Eternal Emperor. There hasn't been an Emperor there in over 100 years.

Supposedly, they're saving the throne for the Emperor's reincarnation.

The test to see if a candidate is worthy (and thus proof of them being the Emperor's reincarnation) is for them to sit on the throne and allow the Sky Dragon, Shen Ra, to breathe their breath weapon (electricity, I presume) on them. If they survive, it appears it is then presumed they are worthy. So far, no candidate has survived this test.

My question is who would the Oracular Council allow to sit on the throne in order to take the test?

It seems obvious they would allow a human or someone of human ancestry to take the test, but what about a kobold? Specifically, what about a half-dragon (Underworld) kobold?

If the kobold survived (let's say it was also a Mythic Monk 20 with over 200 HP), would it then be made Emperor or would the fact they were a kobold impair its ascension to being the new Eternal Emperor?

Maybe the Oracular Council might impose some sort of additional "test" or requirement because the candidate is a "mere" kobold in their eyes?

Situation: Wizard 20

I know an Orange Prism ioun stone can add +1 to CL.

I see that there are some magic items that require a CL of 25 to make.

So I want to know, besides the ioun stone, how else can my 20 Wizard increase his CL?

Items? Feats? Spells? Anything else?

How high have you been able to push CL? Can you please tell me how you got there?

The main reason I'm looking to push CL to as high as I can get it is to a) be able to craft some of those items and, b) increase durations of certain spells cast beyond what they would normally be. Yes, he has the Extend Spell metamagic feat and uses it. I'd like to make certain spells durations even longer!

That stuff that fell from the sky when Gorum was killed...what was it all called and what do they do?

I know the pieces of Gorum's armor are called "warshards." I don't know what they do except I speculate you can use them to make stuff. Maybe a couple of tiny pieces of Gorum's vambraces can make a pair of bracelets or bracers for a gnome, halfling, kobold, or other Small ancestries?

I think the silvery liquid that rained down might be part of his deific essence or power.

Wasn't there some red liquid that fell, too? Is that supposed to be Gorum's "blood"? Does it have positive or negative effects? Like if you used the silvery stuff in creating an item, would the red liquid, if it got mixed in, maybe create some sort of additional curse effect on the item you used the silvery liquid in its creation?

I'm just trying to get these things straight in my head. I don't even know what the silvery liquid is called nor do I know what the red liquid is called.

Any ideas what the liquids are actually called and what they and the warshards actually do?

I do know that the silvery liquid, if used like water on plants that grow berries, can create fruit that grant temporary mythic abilities for a short time. I don't know anything about the red liquid.

Speculation is also welcome.

Thanks.

So...

What’s the difference between a “vaneo” (as in Vaneo Drovenge) and a “vira” (as in Vira Oberigo)?

It sounds like one might be bigger than the other or one might have walls and the other doesn’t, or perhaps there are other differences. I don’t know for sure.

Can I get a little help (hopefully from a Paizo person, but not totally necessary) with this?

Thank you.

My group is about to finish Hell's Vengeance this coming Saturday and I wanted to get some feedback regarding my Hellknight Tyrant Antipaladin's speech to try to convince Lord Marshal Cansellarion to come on over to the dark side.

I'll use the Spoiler tag in case some folks haven't played the AP yet.

Note that almost all of this is a speech my Antipaladin plans to say. There is one line that I expect Cansellarion will say. It's a question and it should be obvious which is her question.

Keep in mind that my antipaladin character has gathered quite a bit of information from various sources including from the lictor of the Order of the Godclaw and Queen Abrogail's spymaster/spymistress.

Spoiler:
Wait, Lord Marshal. Stay your blade for a few moments. I have something to say that I'll wager you'll want to hear.

It concerns your soul.

Your actions over the past several months have damned you, and if you'll give me time to explain, I think you'll agree.

I know you've heard a voice in your head since you were quite small. You still listen to it to this day.

When you were a child, this voice told you to protect the weak, yes?

This same voice more recently told you to gather an army and reclaim Heart's Edge from the Order of the Godclaw, too, yes? And you did just that.

The Church of Iomedae politely asked the Order to turn over Heart's Edge to them, and the Order rebuffed your Church.

You, at the voice's urging, decided the Order of the Godclaw was just a bunch of heretics and that YOU should just take it from them.

So you started your "Glorious Reclamation" to lay siege to Citadel Dinyar and attack its defenders, be they adherents of Asmodeus, Abadar, Torag, Irori, or even Iomedae. No one would stand in your (and the voice's) way, no matter who they worshiped.

You thought they were all unworthy to wield your desire, Heart's Edge, even though they were worthy enough to recover it. Isn't that right?

You didn't even TRY to approach the Lictor of the Order of the Godclaw to resolve the matter without violence through diplomacy. You just decided that violence was the only route to achieve your desire.

What was the Second act of Iomedae, Lord Marshal?

Without drawing her sword, Iomedae used wordplay and diplomacy to defeat the Pallid Sisters, a coven of witches in Garund. Isn't it odd that your voice wanted you to resort to violence without trying to make a deal for Heart's Edge through diplomacy first? That would seem to be the way Iomedae would have handled it. Don't you agree?

So you took the sword by force and headed West with your army.

But instead of heading to Egorian (where your supposed true enemy, Queen Abrogail, was) with your army of thousands, you, for some reason, headed to Westcrown instead.

You took Westcrown and then decided to lay siege to Citadel Rivad and the Order of the Rack. Your army of thousands encamped there, seemingly not doing as much to take Citadel Rivad as they did to take Citadel Dinyar, did they? It was almost as if you had finished with your army.

So, my question is, did you tell them?

Cansellarion responds, "Tell them what?"

Did you tell them that your and Silvereye's families were from Westcrown originally and that you lost your estates during the Chelaxian Civil War? I'll bet they thought you were from Isger.

If you had told them that you and Silvereye were going to re-take your family estates, would they have followed you to Westcrown instead of aiming at the more sensible target of Egorian? That is where your true enemies, the Thrunes, were, after all.

As they waited outside of Citadel Rivad, that's when their true nightmare began. That explosion killed THOUSANDS of good Iomedaen knights, soldiers, clerics, and engineers, yes? And then those HUGE Nightwalkers took care of the rest, inflicting unknowable terror on the remnants of your army as they sliced their way through fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters. Who's left to carry out your reclamation now? Iomedaens from many lands, including Taldor, Isger, Cheliax, Molthune, and Andoran, answered your call, and now they're all dead.

You didn't take Westcrown for altruistic reasons. You took it for self-serving ones. You got your army killed because you and Silvereye were more interested in your estates than facing the Thrunes.

In the end, selfishness and pride are what damned you, Lord Marshal – simple selfishness and pride. First, it was Heart's Edge because YOU desired it, and second, it was your estate in Westcrown because of your silly pride.

Look, I don't know who that voice was, but it should be abundantly CLEAR that it wasn't Iomedae. She wouldn't have done what you did.

Having said that, I don't blame you for what you did. I might have done the exact same thing. I would indeed have taken Heart's Edge from who I thought were my enemies. But my Lord would have approved of that. Asmodeus admires strength.

You are strong, too. I am sure my Lord would accept you as one of his unholy crusaders.

I can help you with whoever that voice was, as well. I can teach you the way of the Measure and the Chain if you like. You will be the master of yourself. No emotions to get in the way. No strange voices in your head to distract you or lead you astray as this one did.

I can show you a better way. A way where you no longer have to put on airs. A way where self-interest has a place in your life. You can be yourself and not have to apologize to anyone for it.

What do you say?

Is that convincing enough? Any big holes in the argument? Anything my character might have missed?

The GM told me there is a "roll play" procedure to determine whether she turns or not (Diplomacy, Bluff, Sense Motive rolls) that I could do instead if I didn't want to actually come up with a good narrative myself, but I didn't want to just roll some dice.

So my character's success or failure is really going to depend on what I've written above.

Let me know what you think, please.

I do not play PF2 so, therefore, I do not get any of the 2nd Edition APs.

In a thread I posted a few days ago, the second post suggested I take a look at the Curtain Call AP for some information that might shed some light on my question in the OP of that thread.

Since I don't get the 2E APs, I'd rather not spend close to $100 for three AP books if the information Saedar is referring to can be found in just one of them.

Can anyone please let me know which book the information is in so I only have to get the book in which I'm interested?

About 6 years ago, Pathfinder Friday #25 had Erik Mona on as a guest and the topic of their talk was the Starstone.

According to Erik, completing the Test of the Starstone made your character a Demigod which he called a "living god."

For the last several years I must say I never heard that ANY of the folks who completed the task successfully were ever referred to as a "Demigod."

It seemed like they all ascended directly to being a full deity.

Now some were more powerful than others. I believe it is generally acknowledged that Cayden Cailean is a "lesser" god while Aroden and Iomedae were something more (greater gods?). I don't know what Norgorber would be. I don't think I ever read him as being considered either lesser or greater.

Maybe they all started off as Demigods and eventually ascended to true deities? If so, I've never seen anything in Golarion lore that specifically said as such.

I guess my question is what is the canon on what you are after completing the Test of the Starstone today?

Has this intermediate demigod "step" been retconned out?

If so, that would seem to indicate a direct ascension to at least lesser god status with the possibility of ascending to greater status by some unspecified mechanic or event happening.

Thanks.

Quote:
Primogeniture is the right, by law or custom, of the firstborn legitimate child to inherit the parent's entire or main estate in preference to shared inheritance among all or some children, any illegitimate child or any collateral relative.

Let's say the head of House Cansellarion (Alexeara...long story, don't ask) in Westcrown bore twins - a boy and a girl.

Let's also say Alexeara did not marry the twins' father and later died intestate (without a will).

Are the twins the rightful heirs to the Cansellarion estate and fortune in Westcrown even though they were born illegitimate?

What about sex? Does it matter which (boy or girl) was born first? This is a agnatic primogeniture (firstborn boy to inherit) vs. matrilineal primogeniture (firstborn girl to inherit) vs. absolute primogeniture (can be either to inherit) question.

Are the Shadow Beasts still running around in Westcrown after dark or has the city somehow shaken that curse?

AFAIK, they're still a "feature" of Westcrown that we became familiar with during the Council of Thieves AP, but I figured I'd ask because I haven't seen any updates on the phenomena in any of the Lost Omens books. I also don't keep up with the stuff happening if the PFS scenarios, so if something happened in one of those, I have missed it.

If Westcrown is still cursed with the Shadow Beasts, has there been any progress on getting to the bottom of why they keep coming or what/who keeps calling them there?

Personally, I think the Kuthites are behind it, but I don't know that for sure.

Any updates would be appreciated.

How would you add that last Sorc level to a Great Wyrm Solar dragon?

According to Bestiary 4, a Great Wyrm Solar dragon casts as a 19th level Sorc. A Great Wyrm Solar dragon also has 29d12 HD (188.5 HP not counting CON, Toughness, etc.) and is a CR 21. The base saves for a Great Wyrm Solar dragon are Fort 16, Reflex 16, Will 16.

I'd like to add that last level of Sorc to effectively make the dragon a 20th level Sorc.

How would you do it?

Add a d6 HD or a D12 HD?

Would you add that extra +1 to Will saves as a 20th level Sorc gets that extra +1, or would you just leave its saves alone?

Obviously, you would add the extra 9th level spell and the extra castings per day, so no problem there.

I'm guessing the CR would also go up by one because that extra Sorc level would add +1 to the CR because Dragons are generally assumed to take the Caster role.

How about the BAB? A Sorc going from 19th level to 20th level gets a +1 to its BAB. Wouldn't the dragon also get a +1 to its BAB (for a +30 BAB total) if it gets that 20th Sorc level?

I'm not going to adjust its ability scores by +4, +4, +2, +2, 0, and -2 even though RAW, I could. Seems a bit OP for adding just 1 Sorc level.

Thanks.

Can a Solar (22 HD, CR 23) have 20 levels of Paladin, or any other class for that matter?

A Solar with 20 levels of Paladin would have 42 HD, and be a CR 33 "monster."

I don't think have seen any monsters in any of the Bestiaries with more than 36 HD (Cthulhu) nor have I seen any monsters higher than CR 30 (except in 3PP stuff).

If such Solars are possible, why haven't we seen 20th level Paladins who've died and gotten promoted quickly to being a Solar (the Angel Knight from the Hell's Vengeance AP died when she was a Paladin and was quickly promoted to a Solar who kept her 5 Paladin levels; 27 HD, CR 25) or some other really powerful good outsider who then decided to take out all the Demon Lords, Infernal Dukes, etc. one by one?

There's gotta be a class level limit of some sort for monsters, doesn't there?

What is it?

On page 158 in Mythic Adventures, there's a minor artifact called the "Black Iron Axe."

There's no indication in the description that it's actually Adamantine (which it sure sounds like it is to me) or any other special material that you might find in a PF1 game.

Its +6 enhancement bonus means that it can get through all other types of material DR so it's probably not all that important what "Black Iron" actually is game mechanic-wise. But for lore purposes, I'd like to know what you all think black iron might be if it isn't just plain steel that went through some sort of darkening process when the axe was forged.

Does PF1 have the "Called" Armor or Shield Special Ability?

Can't find it in Ultimate Equipment or in the D20PFSRD.

In case you don't know what I mean, D&D v3.5 had an Armor/Shield special Ability called "Called" (in their Magic Item Compendium) which you, for 2,000 GP, could add to your armor and/or shield. The ability allowed you to, as a standard action, don your armor almost instantly even if your armor and shield were in another part of the world. Essentially, you could speak a command word and your armor/shield would be teleported on to your body or, in the case of a shield, into whichever hand you usually held it.

I tried to do a search about this, but saw nothing on the first page of results. Has this question been asked and answered before? If so, could you please link the answer for me?

Question: For the sake of my theory, when Zon-Kuthon came back from the Dark Tapestry, he brought something back with him. What would he have brought back? A chunk of primordial Darkness or a chunk of primordial Shadow?

The Dark Tapestry sounds REALLY dark to me, so I could see him bringing back a chunk of Darkness which he could have used to spread some of over Nidal.

But his divine realm is on the Shadow Plane and it would seem to me that since so many of his adherents are shadow creatures, shadow lords, and the like that his affinity is with Shadow, not Darkness.

What would he have brought back with him then? Darkness or Shadow?

So, if I remember correctly, there was an entry in one of Paizo's publications (could've been PF1 or PF2) that describes the actual forge that Torag uses to create stuff.

I seem to remember that the entry named the forge (I don't think it was the "Trueforge" from Mythic Adventures) and also in the entry was something about Torag allowing others to use it under certain conditions like as a reward for doing something great, or for some other reason.

It's also in the back of my mind that there was a picture of the entrance to the forge and you might have also seen the anvil of the forge in the background of the picture.

I've been going through all my Paizo books and PDFs and have yet to stumble upon it again. I've also done a Google search and so far, I've come up with nothing.

…that has a constant 20% miss chance applied to any melee attack or targeted spell (such as Scorching Ray) made against it?

To clarify, I am not talking about Concealment or any kind of Invisibility or Incorporeality. Those miss chances can be countered by things like True Seeing, See Invisible, and Ghost Touch. I am also not talking about amorphous creatures.

What I have in mind is a creature from the Maelstrom (a Tumult Dragon perhaps) whose form is constantly changing at least to some degree.

A PC swings their weapon at a body part but that arm or leg might shift to a different location on the creature’s body right before a hit or maybe the part of the body the hero swings at becomes misshapen at the very last second causing a miss.

On page 24 of the Pathfinder Campaign Setting supplement "Dragons Unleashed," there is a discussion of something called the "Stalwart Wall" around Valkus Isle which is now used as a prison with a Great Wyrm Gold Dragon named Garaudhilyx as its warden.

This dragon noted a "weakness" in this wall and now occupies a small islet directly to the east of Valkus Isle because it is directly east of this weakness. I guess to better keep an eye on it for escapees.

Anyway, the bit I'm most curious about on that page is this:

Quote:
This weakness is susceptible to magical circumvention, allowing trapped but savvy spellcasters a back door to escape the otherwise impenetrable barrier.

My question is what is the exact nature of this weakness? Has it ever been mentioned anywhere else in Golarion lore or is that section of text it? Maybe it's the subject of a PFS scenario?

I'm just looking for more info because if it's essentially a blank slate, I'm considering running a one-on-one scenario for a particularly powerful Oracle, and my intention is to have Garaudhilyx task this Oracle with repairing the weakness with divine magic as the gold dragon's arcane magic has not been able to do so.

In return, Garaudhilyx will promise to trade an incredibly rare book (there's only one) on the nature of Time to the oracle if the repair is successful.

If the Stalwart Wall has already been repaired, the Oracle will have to come up with something else to trade for that book. Perhaps a particularly notorious criminal so that Garaudhilyx can imprison them, instead?

Solar Dragons (Bestiary 4) get something called Primal Fire which means even things Immune to Fire take half fire damage from their breath weapon on a failed save. On a successful save, fire immune creatures take no damage.

Solar dragons are immune to fire.

What about Solar dragons? Are they immune to a Primal Fire breath weapon attack from themselves or other Solar Dragons?

What does he do now? Does he go back to his Isle of Dread (I'm assuming his phylactery isn't on the Isle of Dread somewhere), re-craft a bunch of his stuff, and then start raising more undead armies so he can take another shot at Absalom and the Starstone Cathedral?

Has there been any canon published yet that clarifies what some of his next steps were, are, or might be?

Personally, I've been thinking about his phylactery and where it might be. It could be in a place worse than Gallowspire which might cause him a LOT of problems with getting back on task right away.

One night I asked myself, where would Urgathoa least likely agree to hide it for the WT?

I came up with someplace on the Positive Energy Plane. Maybe in the Garden, Titan's Prison, or even in the Prismatic Vault. As unlikely as that would seem, it's certainly the LAST place anyone would think to look. Somewhere in Golarion's sun would also be a good place to hide the WT's phylactery.

Of course, hiding it in any of those places would present Tar Baphon's body quite a challenge to re-form (might take a much longer time than 1d10 days), but it would be damned near impossible to get to the phylactery let alone destroy it.

The reason I ask is because they sure sound like it.

If anyone who had a bit of their soul placed into the Kumaru tree in the Sacred Mountain in Xopatl is reborn after the Whispering Tyrant blows them and himself up, do you think it's reasonable for them to be reformed/reborn with Mythic Power?

The way I'm picturing it is their little bit of soul is placed into a cocoon-like structure that's part of the Kumaru tree. After so long (days, weeks, months, years?), the PC in question has been soaking up all that power/energy from the Veins of Creation and is then "born" (hatched?) from the cocoon with an appropriate amount of Mythic power.

Does that sound reasonable?

They hit it off, go to a cave, and mate.

What is the result?

A Half-Dragon Dragon, or something else?

If they produce wyrmlings, tell me about them!

Just how "Real Life" is Golarion's sun?

What I mean by that is is passing through it or living on or in it survivable by the right kind of monster or character?

Specifically, I would like to know if you think a Solar Dragon who has the Fiery Body spell up 24 hours a day able to live on or in Golarion's sun? If not, maybe just pass through it?

I think my question boils down to whether Golarion's sun works like our RL sun does (fusing hydrogen into helium at millions of degrees centigrade), or is it a "fantasy" star that, while hot, isn't nearly as hot as Sol is.

Thanks.

If you care, I think I might know a good guardian for as well as good place to put the Whispering Tyrant's phylactery should it ever be found.

Did any GMs out there assign that fate to the characters after the WT blew them up?

Did you go as far as to actually have them reborn?

What did that look like?

How similar (or different) were the new beings to the original PCs? Were they all the same races as they were when the WT used his weapon against them at the end?

How long did they "gestate" in the tree? Were they in cocoons or similar confines waiting to form some kind of immature body and fall to the ground when their cocoons opened, or did they just step out of the tree fully formed?

What did they remember, if anything?

The stat block for Deskari towards the back of Book 6 of the WotR AP says he is a CR 29 and it does not give him the Mythic Subtype or anything "Mythic" at all.

I would imagine that stat block is supposed to represent what Deskari would be if he were to be encountered outside of his Abyssal Realm, the Rasping Rifts.

Yet nowhere in the entire AP (Book 6 really) do we encounter Deskari anywhere else besides at the bottom of the Worldwound in the Rasping Rifts, not even in the bit where the book points out we can finish off Deskari permanently. We just have to go back to the Rasping Rifts to do it.

As we should all know, Demon Lords act in all respects like they have 10 Mythic Ranks (not Tiers) in their own realms. In Deskari's case - the Rasping Rifts.

Since we never encounter Deskari outside of the Rasping Rifts, why does his stat block not mention anything about him being "Mythic" at all??

Having 10 Mythic Ranks should add 5 to his CR, btw, making his final CR a 34.

Is Deskari an exception to the Demon Lords acting as Mythic 10 creatures in their own realm rule? If so, why?

What about Baphomet? He didn't have the Mythic Subtype either.

What's going on here??

I am playing a Mythic Tier 10 Paladin (20th level). I have taken the Divine Source Universal Mythic Path ability 3 times. His domains are Law, Good, Glory, and Community. The Community domain grants Miracle as its 9th level spell.

Let's say my Paladin is in the Rasping Rifts on a mission to finish off Deskari after killing him the first time at the end of the WotR AP.

Is there anything stopping him from essentially casting his own self-granted Miracle domain spell? If so, what is that, and where can I find the rule that explains why not?

If there's a rule (or rules) about who can cast what of what planes, can you refer me to that (or those) as well?

I know Planar Adventures tells me what spells are impeded or enhanced based on planar traits. I'm looking for whatever says I can or cannot cast a spell like Miracle in another deity's (demon lord's in this case) realm.

He has not cast any other 9th level spells from any of his other domains, btw.

Thanks.

I am looking for a monster in PF1 canon that is essentially CN and whose only purpose is to cause mass death and destruction.

Normally, I would have said Rovagug would have fit the bill, but since it's an actual god (and not CN) it's really not something player characters can handle.

The Tarrasque is a great spawn of Rovagug, but it's N and it's only CR 25. The players are all 20th level and Mythic Tier 10 so around CR 26 or CR 27 each. It wouldn't be challenging enough for them.

Normally, the Oliphaunt of Jandelay would fit the bill. It's CR 30, and it's also CN, but it has a couple of big problems:

1. It would have to have been summoned to Golarion and, therefore, wouldn't stick around for very long, so it's not THAT apocalyptic as far as all Golarion is concerned, and

2. It is needed to guard Jandelay. It's something to be held off, not destroyed.

Are there any other Colossal monsters that are CN and almost completely mindless machines of destruction that can destroy entire nations if released?

Something from the Maelstrom maybe, or some long-forgotten kaiju or monstrously powerful and well-known unique ancient wyrm outer dragon, perhaps?

Really could use some suggestions.

Thanks.
