Debrief: "You are all missing the point. There is likely little chance of containing the spread of this infestation at this point, as infected have been allowed to freely move among the populous. While you waste time trying to blame others for your own failings, more biologicals are falling under the control of the creatures." Archeron shrugs and says "There is one silver lining though: Androids are immune to this creature's touch."

Debrief: Quote: "What exactly are we dealing with here?" "A parasitic lifeform, possibly extraterrestrial in nature." Quote: "Where do you think it comes from?" "It is not my place to speculate on such matters." Quote: "What does it want?" "Based upon it's 'spiritual' messsage, I would surmise that the intent is to infect all life on this planet." Quote: "Is it contained within the camp?" "I would say that there is a 97.4% likelihood that it is not contained. Given the free reign of travel that it's participants are allowed by the government, it is my belief that it has spread largely beyond containment at this point." Quote: "Did the infected member of your team undergo any behavioural changes?" "I cannot speak to this, as I was ejected from the camp and so chose to turn my focus towards re-establishing infosphere access and providing tactical support to the group to allow them to complete the mission." Quote: "Why the religious angle? What's that all about?" "After analyzing the proclaimed belief, it is my analysis that it is using this pretext to attempt to lure the desperate and disaffected into indoctrination and then implantation." Quote: "Any guess as to how many infected are in the camp?" "The doctor can probably speak with more certainty on this, but I would guess that the number of infected are high, and likely include some of the children that are in the camp."

A synthesized, yet cheerful, female voice comes over the speaker from Gristlethorn's comms, which says You young men aren't too bright, are you. If I were you, I'd put down your weapon and beg for your life, before my master decides that you're an impediment to the mission; if he does, this lovely altered bear will have your brains all over his fur, and that takes forever to get out. Meanwhile, Archeron has drawn a bead one the one with the pistol using the counter as an firing surface, and is currently aiming at his head.

Archeron taped two flares to each other, the striking ends facing away from each other, and then said "Get as far to the whichever side is opposite the side Archeron was sitting on as you can and slow down for just a moment! We're going to want to let them get a bit closer before we destroy them." Once Zellgato had complied, Archeron opened his door as well as the lid of the gascan, and sat it down standing on the road. He then recovered himself and leaned back out the window, adapting his shooting stance, only this time he was aiming at the can. He handed the taped flares together and said "strike those when I call for it and throw them as hard as you can at the driver of the lead vehicle. Even if you miss, it should get their attention." Going to take a move action to use combat tracking on the gascan, then readying an action to shoot it when they get close. Attack Roll vs. EAC: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

"Why isn't there more shooting from our vehicle?" Archeron asked as he took aim, this time at the driver of the lead vehicle. Attack for next round vs. EAC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

"It's a shame we can't just drop a satellite on their camp. It would save alot of trouble." Archeron thinks for a moment, then adds "Do those with a parasite in them have any outward signs that they are possessed? I'd like to think that the issue was limited to this camp, but that would be a foolish assumption, and I am not a fool."

You're too kind. Archeron unslings his rifle, then takes aim and fires at the driver of one of the pursuit vehicles. Attack Roll vs EAC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
He will then draw his pistol and offer it to one of the others, saying "Careful, that has explosive rounds."

I will let him know. chirps the voice. After a moment, it comes back with He wants to know if you are joking. I will succeed in making my way to the bottom of the cliff; I will, however, endeavor to do so carefully. How many Acrobatics checks will I need?

Negative. He is currently about to be pinned down by gunfire at the dam. Please come and pick him up if you are able. I will guide you to where you need to be. The female's voice is pleasant and very polite. Also proper British hoi poloi.

GM: Archeron takes one more try at destroying the mechanism before he'll have to settle for the results. He runs back into the vehicle, backs it up, and then rams it again, diving out as before. Piloting: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

GM: Archeron is not suicidal. I will, however, do the classic "jump out at the last second" type of deal. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Archeron picks his leaping spot, then backs up and floors the gas, diving out at the last moment.
