Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

Executioner's Run:

If the pouch contains just coins, he gives a slightly disgusted look at it and tosses it to the injured man in the mud and proceeds onward. If it is something else then he will keep it for sentimental value.

Ambooku will, if nothing stops him, drag himself with the carcass back to Wakanga's compound, take a short rest (recover some HD) then find a reasonable place to butcher the carcass and start a fire to cook it.

Executioner's Run:
Sleight of hand?
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Executioner's Run:
Still raging, Ambooku smashes the downed velociraptor one more time with his great maul before proceeding to hack it's head off with a few whacks of one of his hatchets, just to be sure. With the decapitation complete, he finally calms down and comes out of his range. Covered in blood, both his and the velociraptors', he retrieves his javelin and drags the velociraptor's body towards the exit. As he passes the hobbling, injured victim he drops the head at his feet and says to him in Omuan "No need to rush anymore." before continuing on and trudging out of the mud run with the carcass.

At the Executioner's Run:
Not enough HP left for grappling or disengaging to make a difference, so: Even though he's been viciously torn into by the velociraptor, it seems to Ambooku that at this point, offense is the only defense. Crouching down low, he times his next strike to when he anticipates the beasts head will dart forward for a bite. Leaping upward, he attempts to deliver an uppercut strike with his massive hunk of wood...

Great Maul: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 172d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 2) + 5 = 11

...and succeeds in delivering a solid blow. While the velociraptor reels from the blow, he screams animalistically in its face.

Just act like you're an iguanadon being used to transport clothes and textiles ;)

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

Wow, that is powerful :) Where is that from, homebrew?

It wasn't clearly stated, but I believe you guys were some distance away from the room with the merchantress and the incubi when the fruit offender ran away from the guards. Greaek can clarify this, I'm sure.

At the Executioner's Run:
Ambooku unleashes a vicious, feral scream at the velociraptor as it's claws and teeth rake at his flesh. He seems to not be torn up as badly as one might expect from the attacks and he lunges with his ships tiller at the knee of the solo velociraptor...

Raged Great Maul Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 102d6 + 5 ⇒ (1, 6) + 5 = 12

...which deftly hops over it.

Damage Reduction from my rage should drop the damage from those two velociraptor attacks to a 1 and a 2, leaving me at 12HP left. Where is the muddy victim? Has he made it near the exit yet?

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

At theExecutioner'sRun:
Ambooku runs up to the velociraptor he just impaled with a javelin, grasping the ship's tiller as a giant club.

Raged attack with great maul: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 182d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 2) + 5 = 11

He leaps the last few feet and lands his maul with a solid thud on top of the velociraptor's shoulder joint. I presume.

Executioner's Run:
Initiative for Ambooku: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

At the Executioner's Run:
Assuming Ambooku believes the family member that the victim is innocent:
Insight: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16

Ambooku hops in and interposes himself between the victim and the velociraptors. He orders the cowering man "Stand up! And RUN!" before hurling a javelin at the nearest velociraptor.

Not sure if I'm further than 30feet from the target, if so then the second d20 is in case I have disadvantage
javelin: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 161d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 151d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Also assuming they are close enough to attack me within a round, Ambooku will enter into his rage

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

Ambooku will try to get to the Executioner's Run first, ahead of the guards if possible. When I get there I want to check the layout, how long it is, entrance, exit(?), etc. It's it generally accepted that if you make it through that you are free? What do I know or can I find out about how this usually works?

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

Ambooku will head towards the Executioner's Run. Maybe those with better skill might try to talk with the guards?
What do I know about the Executioners Run? Where/when is it, are there rules or betting? Does anyone ever make it out alive?

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

I figured that's what might happen if you learned common from eavesdropping while locked in the hold of a pirate ship. Also thought it would be fun :)

BTW, what kind of language is Omuan? I had chosen lizardfolk(draconic) because the first website I looked up had listed lizardfolk as the 3rd most common humanoids in Chult after humans and goblinkind, and Ambooku is not the sort to "parley" with goblinkind.

I'm not sure what he is wanting. Does he want us to protect him from something like bounty hunters until he reaches Goldenthrone? If so, then I'm all for letting him tag along with us until we can consult with Wakanga. If he doesn't want anything of us until he begins traveling to Goldenthrone at some later time, then I'm fine with letting him go until then.

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

"When we see Wakanga, we should ask if this is worth our time." Ambooku concludes.

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

Agreeing with Orym, Ambooku addresses the man in his naitive Chultan dialect, which roughly translates out to: "Dear sir, we are already indebted to another who has limited time to live. We cannot in good faith address your concerns while ignoring that of our charge, whose life is withering away under a curse as we speak. If, perhaps, you were able to offer some source of information to assist in the direction of our quest then we could honorably address your circumstance as a relevant tangent to that of our charge's. Otherwise, were you to volunteer to accompany and assist us, you might remain safer with us until we accomplish our goal an can at that time address your slighting of the Ytepka Society."

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

1d10 ⇒ 4

The others find Ambooku awake and pacing about, anxious to leave the confines of the compound.

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

Ambooku does not bring up any additional topics at the dinner and allowing the others to sort out the formalities. At the mention of a lack of honesty at the races (assuming he overhears it) he gives a sound of disgust, not directed at anyone but at the concept.

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

Ambooku does not express interest in the finery and comforts offered. In fact, the luxurious surroundings seem to set him at unease. He silently accompanies Syndra throughout the compound until whenever she requests him to not follow. At that point he will divide the rest of his time between residing outside the doorway of wherever she is at (if that is acceptable) and lounging around Wakanga's garden and eating anything edible being grown there.

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

Ambooku appears hesitant at the sight of the casting and appearing of the teleportation gateway, but nonetheless enters it wordlessly after others begin entering it.

Male Human (variant) Barbarian level-1

One of Syndra's attendants hastily leads in a small, extremely wiry man with black hair carrying what some would recognize as part a ships tiller. As he enters the fire-warmed room he quickly removes his shirt, a sailor's garment of a size much too large for him, and rolls it up and places it in his pack. This reveals a series of densely-packed scars of claw marks marring the dark-bronze skin along the full length of his left arm up to his shoulder and back.

The attendant approaches a map on the wall and points to Baldur's Gate on it "You are here..." and then points to a distant part of the map "...and Chult is here."

The small man takes a moment to absorb the enormity of his situation before asking "And you will send Ambooku back to Chult if agree to help?"

The attendant replies "Yes, if you agree to help these..."

The wildman cuts her off "Ambooku agrees."

Alias test of Ambooku for Venthrax. Also want to mention that I think I'm swapping out the Pike listed on my character sheet with a Ship's Tiller (Maul).
