I am playing a cavalier for the first time and I read the banner feature and each has a waive feature. I can't find what it takes to waive a banner in terms of action or even how often I can do it. Can anyone help me find the relevant rule for banner action and number of times usable

I am in a campaign, and I am already solid in my character, I have the option of essentially two ways of fighting. At level 2 I can take a -1 to my attacks and gain a second attack during a full attack sequence. Alternatively, I can have 3 more AC. My roll is melee/close range fighting, without the additional 3 ac I already have the highest in the group(might be tied with warlord).

Would this change if it was only 2 ac? What about 4? 5? You can justify your response to an extent but I am just curious on peoples preferences.

So for me, this comes down to group composition. If you have other martial with you, the second attack early would be a great way to set you apart from them. If you don't have much of a front line, you need the AC always.

One thing no one ever really considers is Logistics of being a large creature. I am working through every crazy interaction my Paladin is going to have when he gets permanent enlarge person on him. In the future, having 2000 pounds of fighter walk out onto a balcony doesn't really amount to much usually. That same 2000 pounds of paladin walking out onto a wooden on the second floor of shoddy inn in magnimar, it is probably going to collapse. Large is really good when most creatures are melee, but it makes some huge issues with just living your life that no one really considers. You force a lot on the group in a fantasy setting by being large. Less so in a sci-fi setting.

So we have just defeated the monstrosity at Fox glove manner and we looked through his loot and found a stalkers mask. It does not give off an evil aura. The party is a bunch of people who are chaotic neutral and I am running a paladin. My question is this. Is it legal to keep and use the stalkers mask? It is a mask made from other human faces. I want the party to ditch it to proper authority because it evidence of a serial killer but talking with my Pathfinder friends and the DM, we can't figure out the actual legality of it. They want to keep it because it helps the human rogue.

Tldr: is the stalkers mask legal to have and use? It is made of other human face, but is illusion based and does not have an evil aura

So after reading and prepping this game I need to ask. Is it just me or is this game super tough? This game seems extremely brutal especially at level 1-2. Between weather mechanics and misfortune, you can easily one shot low characters on accident

Is this society legal yet and is there a chronicle sheet for it ?

Considering some boons explicitly effect downtime, I don't see why the hireling wouldn't be around.

Those boons are (in theory) all supposed to have the “Downtime” trait (which hirelings do not).

You know, I’ve been so used to the Starfinder boon system that I completely missed the fact that you can slot multiple hirelings in PFS2. This actually makes me a lot less anxious about building a low-skill character.

Personally, I am probably going to get 5 with skill sets similar to what a class would get fill out a party better on skills. Like arcane/planes for lore or stealth/underworld lore. I think it is going to be exponentially tougher the more things you are bad with. At the worst, you can assist

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate. 1 person marked this as a favorite.

I have two questions in regards to Hirelings and downtime. Can Hirelings be used for downtime and ,if so, can Hirelings do their own earn income checks or can they assist in my earn income check? Every Hireling comes with a lore skill. They all have the means to do earn income checks. I was curious how this would work mechanically. I was thinking of getting a full set of Hirelings for a blacksmithing business story for my society character.

Almost but not quite both official.

AoN is an official source for looking up rules. It is not an official source for determining whether something is allowed in PFS, but as a handy service, tries to mirror the Additional Resources page. But it's never 100% up to date. The Additional Resources page is the ultimate source of truth for what is allowed.

Blood Money used to be legal but was banned, and that change apparently hasn't been processed on AoN yet.

I thought so. That spell was just too good. I thought AoN was more up to date than it was.

So the SRD AonPRD says blood money is legal while the additional resources doc has to he blood money from the rise of the rune lords anniversary edition is not legal. These two sources are both official as far as I know and they both contradict each other. Which should we take ?

I don’t see anything in UCam stating that. Unless the boon has a minimum, it should be able to reduce the time to zero.

It does not mention a minimum. It simply reduces it by 5 days.

So the retraining boon is actually a lot stronger than I thought it would be

Dark Archive

I received a boon that reduces the time I need to retrain by 5 days. I want to retrain something and it would take me 5 days. Since the formula for retraining is 10x level x days, would this mean that I can do a 0 day retrain for free or what would it take cost me for the 0 day retrain? I don't mind paying for it but I haven't ever retrained a character before.
