Hi guys! Posting it on all my pbps.

Our offshore team at work is very affected by the pandemic at the moment and with the fiscal year approaching to an end, our reduced capacity is terribly affecting my time. For the next several weeks it will likely impact me in such way that I simply won't be able to keep up with the forums, things normalizing only as we start approaching mid June.

For the games where I play, GMs please feel free to bot the characters. If you don't desire to bot me for so long, I completely understand, apologize for the late notice and wish you all the best of fun. If you hold me around, though, I should be back after this storm.

For the games where I host, my sincerest apologies to the players - I won't let you hanging so if you stick around until my return we will give it continuation as normal. Otherwise, please message me and once I'm back I'll recruit replacements.

To everybody, I'm sorry for the late notice and I hope we will continue playing together once I'm back!

Cheers,

Archlich

Kazmuk, Rillka:

Allyo shakes his head in agreement with Kazmuk, and from afar gestures to Rillka to show they understood her. The duelist then taps his mount to run North in pursuit.

Hoping for a speedy recovery, Andreas! Please take care.

Kazmuk and GM:

The runed bolt thing would have been fun! A cool idea for later.

Allyo shakes his head in agreement with the Dwarf, and pushes his horse towards the direction the hounds were barking - carefully holding the unconscious prisoner.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Allyo:
Allyo will put the unconscious orc in the horse, in front of him, and will follow Kazmuk (which just departed).

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Kazmuk, Gird, Allyo:

You guys can likely reach the halfling, and I'm sure Andreas can defend himself and be as useful as he is loud. - he said, looking at the captive - I will deal with him and will ride after.

With that said, if his colleagues agreed, Allyo would move towards the captive orc and hit him with the back of his sword.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 8 - 4 = 13 Nonlethal, just to get him back unconscious
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Allyo sheathes and, without saying a word, rushes towards his mount. He's absolutely focused, and baffled that they lost the halfling from their sight.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Allyo five-foot-steps to flank, and again attacks in his usual defensive manner. This time, however, he's able to flurry with his dueling sword.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 2 = 21 Bless, flank, fight defensively, flurry
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 2 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

AC 17 + 5 = 22 at the moment

Allyo does a sidestep and readies to attack the enemy again once his companions get back into flanking position. He is still fighting defensively in his usual style.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Allyo moves to flank with Gird, and in his movement he drops the bow and pull his duelist sword. He adopts his fighting stance, entering the crane style and fighting defensively.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Allyo came out from behind the tree, approaches and shot at the closest enemy (red I believe).

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

He lets the arrow fly against the orc, getting ready and stepping closer and closer - his final intention will be to eventually pull his dueling sword, but for now he cords another arrouw.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Allyo stays behind the tree with the bow, hoping the enemies might get a little closer (Only one at my first range increment, so I might as well go for my one minute buff), and casts Shield of Faith on himself.

AC now is at 17 + 2 = 19; 10/10 rounds remaining

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Allyo moves to hide behind a tree with the bow still in hands. As he cords an arrow, and despite not having his duelist sword drawn, he assumes his defensive style.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Allyo gets ready himself, but doesn't cast any spells - his single buff lasts for only a single minute, so he usually prefers to save it. Instead, the duelist observed the rest of the group, and if engaging was the intention he'd pull his bow to shoot before coming to melee.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

The ex-cleric tries to assist Kazmuk to the best of his limited abilities.

Heal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Aid

Agreed. This should suffice, though, and hopefully we can get some intel soon. - completes the duelist.

Honestly, my apologies... But I don't see the point of it. As undesirable as it can be to let them reunite with the Stag Lord, I don't think it's worth for us to continue this path. - interjects Allyo, stopping the march - We should head back, rest and talk to our prisoner. If he doesn't have much to reveal, fine. We will deal with the Orcs when we deal with them.

Allyo didn't want to challenge the authority of Andreas, but he wouldn't continue on a chase that he considered pointless. Their original plan didn't work as desired, but they adapted and had enough success. There were bigger fish to fry, and the feeling to be tiring themselves and walking into a trap wasn't something he was willing to shake.

Allyo approaches Andreas, shaking his head in a thoughtful way. He likes what the cavalier says about keeping the offensive, but yet still tries to give some insight.

I like keeping the offensive on the orcs... And my apologies if I don't much care for the kobolds. I guess not all of us can. - he starts, but immediately follows - I'd suggest, however, that we talk to our prisoner first, and try to gather from him as much information as possible.

Like Kazmuk and Rillka, Allyo doesn't try to pursue anyone - instead, is happy to throw the unconscious prisoner over the body for later "interview", while getting as much distance from the orcs as possible.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

At this point, to add to the chorus, I don't think we should pursue at all. We should stabilize the guy down close to us, if still alive, and flee - to "interview" him later. While our plan didn't fully work with all the fleeing ones, we might still salvage something out of this situation. I say, forget about the ones that fled, and let's ourselves run before we get into a fight we can't win.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Allyo does a side step to flank with Andreas, then attacks again - flurrying his dueling sword.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 8 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 8 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 2 = 19 Bless, Flank, Flurry
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Attack 2: 1d20 + 8 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 8 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 2 = 14 Bless, Flank, Flurry
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Still fighting defensively; AC is at 24

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Allyo moves in with grace, stepping by Andreas and his opponent. The entire fight had been a little more chaotic than anticipated, and the duelist at some point became confused as to what was going on.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 - 2 + 1 = 8 Fighting defensively, bless

His attack, defensive as usual, doesn't seem to connect to the enemy. He then replies to Andreas.

Maybe we should try to subdue and capture this one, instead? - he asked, not really bothering if he was being heard - I'm sure it could be interesting to hear more details about our enemies.

AC at 24 at the moment.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Allyo moves at the orc attacking Rillka, aldori sword in hands. As he gets there, he seeks to attack the enemy to free his companion. He fights defensively as he does so, staying in his Crane Style.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 7 - 2 + 1 = 18 Bless
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

AC now should be 17+2+5 = 24.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Allyo stays hidden, but casts shield of faith on himself and assumes his defensive fighting style, getting ready to engage the enemies.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Allyo awkwardly hides himself the best he can near the others. He taps his dueling sword to make sure it's there to be drawn when needed, but pulls his composite longbow and shakes the head in agreement with Andreas. In his core, he thought they were probably overplanning it too much, but hopefully that was probably no harm anyway.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

I think that the only advantage on #1 is how tight they'd have to be so we could "funnel" them. However, I'm with Rillka: I like hiding near the water to surprise them, especially with them being somewhat split out.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

If the orcs are moving with wolves or dogs, then they'd get the same warning as we would from their low-light vision. We need to really find a spot to hide until both groups get within range of scent, when the dogs/wolves will start giving signal.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Nothing to add at this point. I think the Dwarf has the gist of it... And time is of the essence. - says Allyo, limiting himself to start packing.

Eight or ten you said, huh? - says Allyo, scratching his chin - Well, I guess we should expect to be outnumbered no matter what. If you saw their path, maybe they're patrolling and we could surprise a group of them? Catch them in a trap, divide and conquer?

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

It's updated now, GM - my bad.

Allyo sticks behind with the others, gently cleaning his aldori blade with a piece of cloth.

The duelist shook his head in agreement with the recon strategy, and spoke after Rillka.

While I can be competent at it, this is not my specialization, my friend. - replied Allyo - And, maybe, the less the merrier in this case. But I'll keep a safe distance in case you run into any dangers.

Not trained in stealth, but with good DEX and no armor penalty, I probably wouldn't cause us an issue if it was necessary. In this case, though, it's probably not, so Allyo will stick behind.

Male Aasimar Fighter, ex-Monk, ex-Cleric | HP 28/28 | AC 17 TO 17 FF 13 (CSFD -2/+5) | F +8 R +5 W +5 | CMD 20 | Acid 5 Cold 5 Elec 5 | Init +3 | Perc +7 DV

Let's check these orcs, and get back to the temple after. - says finally Allyo - If they were sighted around there, I'd hate to wait too much. And we probably don't need to restock immediately.

Plus, I don't like the 666 thing :)

We need to put this spirit to rest. That's an abomination to Pharasma and the natural cycle. - the ex-cleric says, austere - If the Stag Lord is the price, even better. And if our tasks is taking us to the other side of the river and we have this... Agreement... Then we should try. And if betrayed, I'll gladly do the Lady of the Graves work.

Allyo stays a step behind Andreas. While his first reflex was also to draw his aldori sword, the duelist kept it sheathed once he heard Rillka speaking.

Allyo shakes his head in agreement with Andreas. Resting and departing on the first light was a sound plan - regarding of the perspectives around orcs and traps. The duelist was still finishing eating and preferred to stay silent for most of the time. He briefly touched his dueling sword, prayed to Pharasma, and waited for Oleg's answer.

Allyo greets Oleg with simplicity, but obvious respect.

Hi team! I will be travelling for the upcoming days for work (yes, irk! In Covid times!) and should be back by Friday. I'll try to keep an eye here and update as possible, but don't let me hold the action if I slow down a little bit. Cheers!

I think the beef with him can still wait a little longer. - finally said Allyo, breaking the silence - ... And yes, if I may interject, I'd say we should clear out these locations here, here and here...

As he speaks, he taps the eastern locations near the spider nest, starting by that space and heading south.

And even if it'd take weeks to explore, we probably should do the southeast as well. - the duelist finally completes.

Allyo agreed with a nod and went to take some rest. The duelist couldn't help but think on how his luck was apparently changing, and at the same time he couldn't help but feel the omen that he could be wrong.

Posting here to keep the story moving ahead :)

Allyo dismounts as they get close to the temple, and walks slowly. With a nod, he silently agrees with Andreas. The duelist pulls his exotic sword and moves close to the others; ever since he left the monastery behind, the sword had became the holy symbol of his own personal faith, despite his respect for Pharasma - and it was always comforting to have it drawn.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Allyo keeps to himself - he already said his prayers to Pharasma and believes he understands death in a whole different way than his companions, but would rather stay away from the discussion at this point. Instead, he looks at the ring not for its magical characteristics, but trying to recognize the depictions.

Knowledge: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 History or Nobility, maybe? Being a barbarian I don't think the latest applies, but it could always be like a relative :) Lol

Allyo crossed his arms, letting his head bubble around.

I have no issues with digging, assuming we don't disturb the dead. - says the Pharasmian, before continuing - They certainly have no use for some of the goods that are buried with them.

The duelist briefly touches his holy symbol, muttering a prayer. In his core, he was mostly preparing for the case that sacrilegious undeath gets unearthed, in which case to send such souls back to their final rest.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Allyo approaches as well, but gives enough space for his companions to do their analysis first, and keeps an observant silence from behind. He considers what he knows about history overall to see if he can make any correlation with this place.

History: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
