So I have a few directions that I could take Alex, and I am going to list some of them here. I'm not particularly looking for feedback (although it would be welcome ^_^) but mostly looking for a place to put them so I don't forget as I mull over them.
To start with Alex transforms his arm into any weapon as a standard action for 4 minutes.
Second, he has an elemental stance that gives him extra offensive ability based on the 4 elements, usually extra damage or staggering.
Third, he can change his Active Element as a Standard action.
Fourth, he gets random maneuvers in combat, that each do different effects.
Basically I am going to have a fair bit of variation every time I enter combat as Alex constantly tinkerers and modifies his arm. I will also be using antique firearms a lot as they are "cool".
Generally I will be doing about +6 (1dX+8/x4) a shot or +2/+2 (1dX+8/x4) on a double-shot.
But then:
I am currently using the Elemental Nimbus stance but I wonder if I should take the Distorted Clock stance which would double my arm transformation from 4 minutes to 8. I can already transform up to 6 times so I dont think I will need the extra duration, hard to tell :/
Aside from that, I have 1 free feat and 1 free talent.
Discipline Focus is a stron contender if I just want pure offensive ability. Gunsmoke Mystic treats all firearms as Disipline weapons so all firearms get a flat +2 damage. I will also get consistant benefit from the +2 DC to the elemental maneuvers.
Or I could go Point-Blank Shot with the intent of getting Rapid Shot at lvl 3 so I can fire twice.
Or Point-Blank Shot into Precise Shot for single, accurate shots instead.
I could spend my talent on the Energy Weapon or Deadly Weapon talents, giving me moar elemental damage or 19-20/x4 bullets.
Or take the Destruction Sphere and the Energy Blade talent to add 1d6 or 2d6 damage to my attacks. It wont, however stack with Maneuver Strikes.
I could also take the Tactical Animation feat to grant my "arm" a teamwork feat that I could then tag-team with at level 3. I would have to look at the teamwork fests to see if this would be worth it.
Or take the Tribal Mark and the War Sphere to grant me a permanent totem effect (myself only). Mayhaps the;
*Rebellious Totem giving me defenses against mind-affecting effects.
*Totem of Foresight for effective rerolls to hit, if a little wonky.
This could gransition into the Tactical Totem granting me a teamwork feat at lvl 3 (self only).
or take the Enchanted Animation feat and the Protection Sphere to grant me a few single-use defensive power. This would also work with the Destructions Rebuff talent but it would cost a boatload of SP each time.
Here is Gobo Horde's character btw! Forgot to actually post him in the recruitment thread >->
Its mostly just crunch right now, and there is a bit too much that is still floating in my head but I intend on rectifying that here shortly :3
Quick note, with max gold giving me 300gp to start, and an extra cache for bullets and whatnot, I realized that I could actually buy a Anytool! As such, I have bought one and "integrated" it with my arm, giving it a significantly more impressive Cyborg feel as it can now shift and bend into whatever tool I may need, or transform into a
But first I am asking, is this all right? (Arm stats at the end, if you want to see them)
Crunch wise I still have 1 feat and 1 talent left to spend, and many options on where to place it :p Largely its a question of whether I want to go more casty or more shooty...
But for now I am going to wait a bit before assigning them.
As for Armstrong's background, the basic jist of it is that he is an apprentice blacksmith from Torch who has arrived in (Insert town here) with a shipment of firearms from the Blacksmiths shop he works in. The last 2 shipments got waylaid en-route and so they sent Armstrong along with the caravan to make sure it got to its destination. Once there, Armstrong intends to explore around and have a bit of fun before returning (Spoiler: He gets WAY sidetracked and doesn't return).
That allows me to be from Torch, and as a blacksmith with a crazy advanced artificial arm I figure I have to be :p It also gives me a reason on why I am so far away from the forge I should be working in and instead in another city/province(?) altogether. Once we get set up with a plot hook, well then Alex's youthful curiosity will take care of the rest.
What is the name of the starting town we are in? Where am I at the start of the campaign?

Multi-Classing
If I did not state so earlier, I am OK with Multi-classing but I would like 50-55% of the levels to be Gunslinger or a Archtype/Iteration of that class.
I intend on going Whitesmith 1, Gunsmoke Mystic 2, then Whitesmith x after that, is that all right? Gunsmoke dip is mostly for the Rapid Reload abilities but my main "Class" will be Whitesmith.

The real issue here is "General vs Specific" and "Order of Opperations".
In Pathfinder the general rules form the baseline and then specific cases override the general rules. (think of a dragons bite attack. General rules state that creatures with multiple attacks deal 1x Str on their attacks, but the dragon always deals 1-1/2 Str damage)
So if you have 2 rules that both override the baseline then which one comes first?
You could read it as:
Regeneration -> Tarrasque Regeneration, -> Psychopomp Terminal Aura.
In which case Regeneration functions -> Tarrasque Regeneration cannot normaly be supressed -> but Psychopomp turns it off.
Tarrasque=General, Psychopomp=Specific
Or:
Regeneration -> Psychopomp Terminal Aura -> Tarraspuire Regeneration.
In which case Regeneration Functions, -> Psychopomp turns it off, -> but Tarrasque cannot be supressed.
Psychopomp=General, Tarrasque=Specific
As you can see, both conclusions can be reached logically so any attempt to convince someone that their viewpoint is wrong is technically false, since both answers could be technically true.
:p
Pathfinder is just too big and too complex to avoid these kinds of conflicts.
Alright, well being sick with a splitting headache for nearly an entire week and anything paizo kinda got pushed to the wayside :(
And now it seems that I have until monday to finish up. time to get cracking!
PS this is Sir Gobo and his Perfect Human Monk/alchemist :)
Oh, ill also have to re-examine the eternal template, cause mythic :(

Hey guys, this is The Kommandar, Claptrap, Midiotoziggeroto, Alex Armstrong, Moneez here.
First a little bit. I struggle with Bi-Polar depression, i have my entire life and i still have not managed to gain any lasting stability in my 25 years of fighting with it.
Over the last while, more then a month i believe, it has taken a turn for the worst, it has gone downhill tremendiously and chaoticly.
I lost the ability to do many things, including most of the things i enjoy, like pathfinder. I am just simply unable to do them right now. Its too overwhelming.
I also have been wanting to write this a long time ago, but had the same issue. sorry it has taken so long.
Anyways, i do not see me being able to continue playing this for the immediate future so i am going on hiatus for a while, while i focus on my life.
I truly wish that i can come back to this sometime, i was having so much fun with my teleporting Midioto, my crazy robot with a few screws loose and my goblin general. I only hope that when that comes i might be able to rejoin, or create new stories with you guys.
Have fun and i wish the best to you :)

If not haria, i also could do the party face role well enough.
Aside from recent events, i can defently do my part to help drive things forward ^.^
Armstrong is a lot more charming and a lot more willing to engage in those around him, usually reverting to protocol first then take a more personal tact immediately afterwards.
Hes only following Haria around and taking second fiddle because i have no idea what the "mission" is and its in my backstory to support her ^_^

I am Captian Alex Armstrong of the Armstrong family, subject and under athority of The Alitar Imperial Army. Sir. I am here on escort duty but am unothorized to devulge any further information.
Something wis different about the pale man, a hunch? Or maybe the way he held himself or his atire. Either way it prompted further conversation.
Now I recall seeing you aboard that airship aswell. Might i inquire as to why you are here? And for some reason you dont seem pure civalian as well?
Then Haria beaconds Armstrong to continue on with her.
So Armstrong shruggs
It seems i have need to be moving on. Still, i am interested. Would you walk with us for a spell?

As it turns out the depression was just a prelude to a much stronger and deeper depression, worst one in years. Sorry it has happened just at the start of the game buti know i will be all entheusiastic to play soon, i just cant right now. I am trying to rest and recruprate.

Armstrong enters into the hostel after Haria, nodding at her as she turns to him and as she approches the dwarf, he cases the joint. Noticing that there are no patrons he looks to see how many doors are apparent, the front one they just entered from, any back doors or behind the counter. Next he checks the windows, how many, are they covered? Are they likely good spots of escape, or dangerous spots for ambush. He checks the rafters, anyone visible up there, is there any chance someone could hide among the beams. Any other good hiding places apparent?
Perception check to search:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
All this he takes in in a matter of moments, part of his duty as bodyguard. Then he follows his charge to the counter and lends an imposing and (so far) silent figure behind her.
By the way, you dont have to supply any of the above info if you dont want to. Hes just doing his duty as a bodyguard and keeping an eye out :)

When confronted by the strange dwarf, Armstrong stops and reverts to protocol.
I am Captian Alex Armstrong of the Armstrong family, subject and under athority of The Alitar Imperial Army. Sir. The airship has departed from the Capatal, Alitar. As for the reason of our visit, I am unothorized to devulge that information.
Armstrong remains as rigid as a board, unacknowlidging the outstretched hand, protocol and all.
Then, as if reconsidering it, relaxes ever so slightly and takes the dwarfs hand in a strong handshake.
Actually, call me Armstrong. A book collector eh? Is that what's in the wagon? This all happens before they enter the hostel

Armstrong takes in the surrounding dum... Ah, settlement and mutters to himself.
Again, were.. Here. This place is a wreak.
then louder and addressing Haria
Theres the Hostel, Maam. And i do see some rather unusual persons of interest sitting out front. Is that a wagon that dwarf is pulling? Well i do hope he is not the contact you were looking for, no disrespect meant, Maam.
That last line seems to be an oft used but polite lie. It is clear that the big man does not approve of the place in general.

Actuall, i would like to be addressed as Armstrong, or Captian Armstrong for those who are militarilt minded and polite. I am playing it as the part of the culture where he is known and addressed by his surname rather than the english custom of going by his given name.

Armstrong then lifts up his heavy shield with a grunt
Hrumph. Yes Maam. We seemed to have arived.. Here.
He finishes his sentence with a wave of the vast expanse. The big man is more used to city life then the small, sparcely populated countryside. As they exit the Zepplin Armstrong makes sure to stick close to Ms. Lala, always a step behind and to the side.
So what buisness do we have here Maam?

Sorry, quick question. I got it written down as starting out with 150gp. Is this correct? I cant seem to remember where it was posted how much wealth we start with (im a fighter).
Ive also got 30gp leftover atm, so i can change it up/down as needed :)
also, i was wondering if it would be ok for my legacy item (my tower shield) to be made out of living steel instead of wood. It would cost 100 more (some of which i could pay for, if needed) and mostly just increases the durability of the shield (and makes it made of metal instead of wood ^_^) and has a rare bonus if the opponent rolls a 1 to hit me. It just turns it into a REALLY invulnerable shield!

A massive man, well muscled and completely bare from the waist up rests one hand on the railing of the flying zepplin and the other on the top of a huge shield, nearly as tall as he and broad enough for two men to hide behind. He quietly stares out at the wind and the small town that they are approaching.
What was the name of this small dump again? Blackthorn? More importiantly, why did the little lady need to come here for? Well, either way shes below decks and keeping out of trouble so its calm and quiet for now. And it looks like it is going to get cold soon...
As the big man stares out, pondering, if he catches you looking at him, he will pump his biceps and flex, for your sake of course...

Well, perfectly fine turned out to be inaccurate :(
But i have got a small chunk of backstory up, basically he is the son and heir of one of the bigwig generals and has just been promoted to "captian" when he got sent out on a special mission by a rival house, his mission is to protect and assist Harla as she goes about her mission (whatever that might be, its specifically vauge and Armstrong has no idea what it migt be) as well as cater to any "special needs" she might have (so he knows about her healing issues and necromantic influence and he, somewhat grudgingly offers his wrist if she needs to feed).
Basically Armstrong is the big bodyguard of the little girl with knives XD
what do you think of this Haria?
Edit: Raynar. You cant start out with the Advance Ancestral Legacy feat (i tried that too ^_^) so you cant start out with the +1 weapon. Sorry!

Those of Imperial forces, have you decide from which platoon you coming from? Even though not directly in the army, with title and rank, but working under one of the commanders of Solitude, doing secret missions for Solitude and the elves. We could come from Solitude together, may know one another already or not, or you joining up on the zeppelin route along the way, where can get already acquainted.
What would typical female imperial names be? Need one for foster mother.
this was my plan as well, except.. Ive been busy :( just started a new job, tomorrows my day off :)

Hmmm. In your case, the extra hp would be good because you have very little hps for a front line, healing reduced char. However, the +1 perception and stealth... is +1 per and stealth at lvl 4 worth more than +4 hp? I would probably go with the hps.
Also, you got 62 gold, you might want to think about MWK Tools for stealth, persuasion or UMD (and don't forget to factor in your thieves tools!)
Also, you spent a point in deplomacy and persuasion (now 1 skill), so you got a free skill point there.
Next thought. I could take advance ancesteral legacy twice at lvl 3 and twice at lvl 4 and have a +5 weapon at lvl 4 >.> (btw NOT doing this...)
Lastly, since we have 4 melee chars and extra feats, any of you thinking of getting some teamwork feats in the next few levels? Specifically I am thinking of duck and cover (essentially roll reflex saves twice and you guys get +2 AC), outflank (bonus to hit when flanking, hint, Haria), percise strike (bonus flanking damage), Shielded caster (gives Ergo +6 concentration checks, just for standing next to me), or maybe something else? If any of you DO want to take a teamwork feat, I'll be happy to join you :-)

2 more questions :)
I took the ancesteral legacy trait and I am applying it to my tower shield. How do you want to rule the +1 enhancement bonuses? I have to chose either to enhance it as a weapon or as a shield each time is my assumed approach.
Can I take improved ancesteral weapon at lvl 1 and start out as a magic shield?
Second question. Later, can I take the rage talent and gain Knockback so that I can do damage while I bull rush even if I don't take the barbarian line of feats?

Well the minimum needed to do this campaign is 5 people so who do we got...
Alex Armstrong. Imperial human fighter. Solid tank and frontliner, devilishly charming
Ergo Blackroot. Mahsiat Dwarf Channeler. Hexer and bloodline magic. Alone and confused.
Yarovuk Greypelt. Boarderlander Human Lycan. Martial frontliner and wolfy.
Raynar. Gholgral Imperial Fighter. Martial frontliner undead corpse eater.
Haria. Morgral something or other (sorry, I don't know much about this one)
That's 5! Sweet! Time to officially designate the time needed for this and get my character done!
Question on background. Armstrong is an imperial in the military caste. Can you give me some more background on the imperials as well as what would be an appropreate rank? In my mind he was sent on a "special mission" and that's why he is with everyone :)

And me makes 4 :)
His profile is empty atm as I got it all on another program and will port it over soon.
Just curious but would skill focus: Persuasion work? I got 5 feats total by being an imperial fighter and so I didnt want to put them all as combat orentated but skill focus persuasion seems to be pulling double weight and therefore a no-brainer.
Also, here is a great pic of Armstrong!
