It is still my favorite special and I'm so sorry that it's initial implementation ruined our chances to have another like it. They're referring to part 2 of the special, which AFAIK was only run at the Grand Convocation and not available elsewhere. Part 1 is still available to run and play if you can get enough tables. ![]()

There are only 5 scenarios, but this would also include all the Organized Play sanctioned 1-2 and 1-3 modules, which opens up a lot more options. ![]()
![]() For now, I prefer option 2. Option 3 doesn't help new players, and may just make them feel like they're missing out on cool character options that they'll never have the chance to attain. Sure, they can still GM games for 1E, but in some areas that sounds like it may be close to impossible due to lack of games, or they may just not like the previous version enough to have been involved in it. The only way this option would work is if you can then later get those same options using 2E glyphs/whatever (much like the 3 Masters GM boons we currently have). Edit: If the Organized Play Team does go with option 1, I won't be heartbroken. I'm very happy to have reached 5 stars, but I didn't do all that GMing only for the stars. I continue to GM because I enjoy giving a table a great experience, not to be able to say I've GMed X amount of games. Regardless of which option is chosen, I will continue to GM for whichever campaigns our lodge wants to play, regardless of what it means for my stats. ![]()
![]() In the first section of your event (where you can input the event name and description) there are a few different boxes. One is looking for players, one is for if your event has a fee, etc. One of those boxes is for if your event is completely reported. Check it and save, and you should be good to go! ![]()
![]() I ran this yesterday at the low tier, and my party did exceptionally well. We finished sooner than I thought we would, even with a fair amount of role playing. Between them all, they had played most of the tied-in scenarios, so they were able to get the info they needed and walk right up to the Guild to get an audience with the overseers without needing to canvas the place. They were clever with their tactics, and rolled really high on their checks, so were able to completely negate any combat, and get all the evidence. Ungala found them, so they didn't get any delays there. They also made all their checks on the tablet, and the asura, so made sure to get oils of bless weapon before heading out to kill it (and with a barbarian doing 2D6 + 14 after buffs, it didn't stand much chance, even with the blur and mirror image, especially once the images were gone and the barbarian successfully crit). They immediately presented Erwyn with all the evidence addressing his concerns even before making a sense motive check to know what they were, and with results in the 30s, they easily won him over. That entire section only took about 10 minutes in real time as he pretty much just sat there and blinked while they overwhelmed him with what they had found. He said, "Well then," and decided he needed to go have a talk with his son. They chose to leave via boat, and sadly (for me) they won initiative on Kemendu. Glitterdust really messes with an archer, especially when I roll a natural 1 on his save. He missed with his hushed arrow on the miss chance, and then failed against hideous laughter twice in succession, so I just called it. By the time he would have come back into the fight, they would have been far enough ahead that he couldn't catch up with them. I never even got to use his feats or favored enemy to show them what he was capable of. :( They did decide though that leaving him alive was the best possible outcome for them, because now he has failed to fulfill a contract. They're really hoping that they see him again in the future, so they can rub it in his face... :) ![]()

![]() I think it's an excellent question, and one I hadn't even thought about until seeing this. Players and GMs in our area will definitely be interested in the answer, as many plan on continuing to play version 1 for as long as they have content to play. (Though they also plan on playing version 2; We have a gaming problem here in Boston...) Stars recharging will help with tables making in the future. ![]()
![]() They are aware of it, so just hold on to the reporting sheets, and hopefully you can report it soon! ![]()
![]() Outshyn, this is for Starfinder Society, not Pathfinder Society. As far as I can recall (I don't have the guide in front of me), the OP is correct. Since these are general tier rewards, you add your reputation across all the factions to determine if you can afford a raise if using fame (and by the time you have that much fame, you should easily have the reputation). ![]()
![]() My kitsune slayer almost never takes human form (which is why it's her best disguise!), but my husband's kitsune kinteticest is the reverse and never out of human form (except for those rare occasions when he's forced out of it). He always introduces his character as "perfectly human". We have enough other players around here that have either kitsunes, or outsiders with scion of humanity that usually they just laugh at his intro and don't push too much (though out of character he will tell them if they ask). ![]()
![]() Just wait until you get your first character to higher levels and can afford all the nicer gear. Then first level gold will feel so restrictive... I'm not complaining, and it's balanced and makes total sense, but when you know what you could have, having to wait to afford it is like waiting for Christmas (or payday). That said, I do enjoy lower level play and discovering a new PC's personality! ![]()

I was curious, so I just looked at how credit is given out for that. There are two normal chronicle sheets that each give 3xp/4pp, and a bonus third sheet if you apply both of the others to the same character. I guess that is similar to Tears at Bitter Manor, though I've never played either. One of these days I'll get to them... ![]()
![]() Some of the longer modules encompass three levels instead of one, and they have a bonus chronicle sheet (as Nefreet referenced) that is given out if all three levels have been applied to the same PC. These tend to be the newer modules though, that come with a rules sheet that explains how credit is applied. I think all the older sanctioned modules that have a chronicle and no rules sheet only give one level. (I can't think of one that would fall into the multiple level range, but someone could always come along and prove me wrong!) ![]()

In my lodge, we've been doing it the same way as Jhaeman's example. We've interpreted "update the field for the appropriate faction" to mean that you enter the total end reputation amount. But I can also see how you arrived at your interpretation. ![]()
![]() I have a question about reporting for this scenario. There are two factions PCs can earn bonus reputation with, but it's very possible to earn it with only one of them (like my table did last night). However, reporting only allows for yes/no when it comes to the special faction objective, so I'm not sure what I should be doing in this case. If I check the box, the system will give them the bonus for both factions. If I don't check it, it won't record the bonus for either faction. What to do... Suggestions? ![]()
![]() ^ These are all great suggestions, and my husband and I have done (and enjoyed) most of them. The aquarium is also on the waterfront, which can be good for a rainy day (or if you just like aquariums!). I would highly suggest Seattle's Underground Tour (there's a similar one called Beneath the Streets), though make sure you wear good walking shoes as you could be on some slightly uneven surfaces. It's definitely worth it to take a few days and explore what the city has to offer! ![]()
![]() I have two vigilantes in PFS: One never uses her social identity, because the Pathfinder Society doesn't know about it (she's been sent to finishing school in Absalom, but regularly plays hooky to do unladylike things like go adventuring in dungeons and throw bolts around). The second one I play in conjunction with my husband, and while we don't in character come right out and say we're vigilantes, we also don't try to be coy about the identity changes when they happen (most people pick it up on the first change). We always go to the briefing in our social identities (a halfling and human from Cheliax), because it makes the Liberty's Edge PCs cringe (but our vigilante IDs are very obviously Liberty's Edge, so once the others figure it out they're happy). There are some scenarios where we never change though, just because we don't need to. ![]()
![]() We've gone the last few years and absolutely love it! There are a bunch of cool Paizo employees I've had the chance to meet and talk to, and I would definitely have missed out on those opportunities at a bigger convention. Unfortunately we have to skip this year due to baby Neilson's conflicting arrival, but hope to be back in 2019 with him in tow! ![]()
![]() My group didn't want to talk to the magistrate until the end, either, but they finished talking to everyone else and had hours to spare before their night time activities. They debated talking to her or heading to the streets to spread stories, but ultimately decided talking to her wouldn't take that long, and they wanted to check up on the court records anyway. They were pleasantly surprised when she offered to deputize them after they made her friendly and said they were trying to investigate the pirates, which put the group at ease that they were on the right path. ![]()
![]() If I remember correctly, if the PCS successfully make the check, they get to buy Silverhex at the discounted price off the chronicle sheet in the future. If they don't make the check, they have to pay the greater price if they want it down road. The 500 gold doesn't get subtracted from their chronicle in this case, but if they're spending gold on anything else (like getting him to drop his vendetta), then you would subtract whatever they spent as you would any other personal purchases made during a scenario. ![]()
![]() Also, there's a check box when reporting a scenario that asks if the special faction objective was fulfilled. This is immediately following the A-D check boxes, meaning either the entire table gets it, or no one gets it. If checked, it awards the bonus reputation to everyone at the table. If nothing else, this is a clear indicator that everyone at the table is supposed to get it, regardless of faction slotted. ![]()
![]() I believe he was asking if he could use the book PDF file (but maybe I'm wrong and it is indeed an online Aasimar boon PDF) as his rules source for playing an Aasimar, in which case the answer is no. Everyone must personally own the source of any rules they're using, the exception being members of the same household. If he had the physical book, he could give it to you, but as all Paizo book PDFs are watermarked with the owners name and email, only the owner (or members of their household) can use it. ![]()
![]() If the scenario awards bonus reputation for helping a particular faction, anyone who meets the criteria for the bonus reputation gets it, regardless of faction slotted. Thus you could have a handful of reputation for factions you do not actually have the faction boon for. I believe you would still need to purchase said faction's boon to actually use fame to purchase any of their specific rewards, but the extra reputation would still count towards the total for any purchasable generic (non-faction specific) rewards. So in your example, you would also have have 1 reputation for the Dataphiles due to the second scenario reward. ![]()
