"Rather normal so far, though these chairs seem old which seems odd for a room that was presumably made recently." Knowledge:History: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 The history check is to determine if the decoration of the room indicates a certain time period. If that's a stretch, I understand.

Aiden sees the lamp plugged and shouts up the ladder, "Could a pocket dimension, have running electricity? Also, you said we communicate via cell phone? Seems like a pocket dimension might interfere with that, doesn't it?" Aiden searches the room, pausing at the dresser and opens his book. Casting Detect magic on dresser

"I'm with you, Walter. No way I'm turning away from a chance to be involved with this but I do feel I should make one point: You need us Professor, it would behoove you to be candid with us in the future. I can't speak for the others, but if I feel like I'm being lied to again, I will take my ball and go home, so to speak." Aiden is silent for a few moments, then speaks. “Are you suggesting that it may have been an illusion but that someone or something else was to blame? Regardless, we started all of this blind. We were made to believe that all this was some kind of experiment, when it is clear you have been aware of the power of these books all along. I know I probably would have participated regardless but it would have been my informed choice. How can we trust that this mission is really as safe as you say?”
Male Human Commoner
“I think it was a setup but not an illusion, at least not the whole thing. I think it was more test than hazing though, Denton. Either way, I don’t appreciate that we were lied to about what we were getting into, especially since Valerie seemed to actually have fallen to whatever it was that was attacking us. Or was she part of this, as well?”

Allison: "I saw her impaled on a metal pipe. I didn't think the magic we're using was capable of healing wounds that severe. Or are you suggesting that it might have been some kind of illusion." Aiden looks down for a moment. "I suppose we should keep this to ourselves for the moment."
Male Human Commoner
Aiden follows Allison out of the room. Out in the hall: "I'm sure you recall that Professor Delereth passed in the library... incident. At our first class, the professor introduced herself as a Professor Alice Delereth in the occult studies department. I never caught the late professor's first name but I know she was in occult studies. I hate to assume but it seems like the school is covering her death. Do you know anything about this?"

Before Allison comes, to Walter. "Well since we're acknowledging them now, Walter, my grimoire seems to have solved my translation issues." Aiden adjusts his glasses, mostly to show them off. "These translate for me, though I haven't had a chance to test them." After Allison speaks. "Sure, but who is this boss? Allison when you get a chance, I'd like to speak with you in private."
Male Human Commoner
"Alright then, thanks." Aiden takes his Grimoire out of his bag, opens it, pulls the page from a separate section of his page and places the page in the book. "I suppose we should get to class, as well." Aiden stands up and looks at his plate, looking as if he wants to pick up the plate and take it away but he resists. "Should we all meet here later to discuss plans on investigating what happened last night?"
Male Human Commoner
"I don't mean to intrude, but it would seem you should be opposite of worried if all you have gotten is boredom. Speaking of emotions, mine is still chomping at the bit to get at this new page. Allison, is there anything we should know about adding pages or would you say its best just let them have the ones we've found?"
Male Human Commoner
"Don't get me wrong, I always want to learn but I enjoy it the most when not distracted by silly things like hunger or being attacked by monsters. Allison, do you know why weren't told the truth when we met for the ritual? Also, we never really performed the ritual but we seem to have to gained its benefits."
Male Human Commoner
"I don't know awesome we really are friend. I'm Aiden, I'll allow the others to introduce themselves." Aiden looks slightly distressed. To Walter and Denton, he says, "It occurred to me once the adrenaline and awe wore off, we lost someone else down and we didn't even notice. We should speak with Allison and try to figure out the whole story on what happened in that building. I suppose we should eat, as well. Learning on an empty stomach is no fun." Aiden grabs a plate and loads up. As he begins his mood improves and you can see excitement at what they may learn.

"I follow... somewhat. I don't really have the presense of mind for it, right now. I understand enough for now." Aiden says sounding a bit irritated. Aiden pops out of the door and launches a bolt at the creature. Magic Missile
