Agni rises and gives Kishokish a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for your hospitality." She heads for the guest room on the third floor and beds down.

Agni smiles as Tally joins her. "We noticed something unusual about The Dead Roads that you would not have being alone. The road looks different to everyone. Seems your imagination or desire or expectations or past experience may have something to do with how you see them. Niu sees sand. He loves sand and has been around it a great deal. I see yellow cobblestones. No idea why, but I like it. What do the roads look like to you?"

"Like for real, but we will see how I feel about it in the morning." Agni seems to be enjoying the brandy.

["She will introduce me to Pharasma and then I will meet Sarenrae."

The smoke ring Kishokish blew moves towards Agni and as it slows it encircles her head. She smiles and says "How do I find Deathbower?"

"Kishokish, I survived two orc raids that wiped out two villages. I was an infant the first time and a mere child the second. That last fight has proven to me that my desire to punish the enemies of the Dawnflower is just that. A desire. I am supposed to be an inquisitor. I did not even pronounce judgement on the outsider. I was too concerned with helping Etgar grab your staff. I could have and should have done that. It takes no time. I believe my time is best spent with the citizens of Roslar's Coffer. That is where I made many friends and I was accepted as family without condition." Agni downs the glass of brandy and pours another. "Where can I find this Mictena? She sounds like exactly what I need."

Agnimitra pours herself a brandy and takes a seat next to Kishokish. "I assume you are aware of someone or something that goes by the name of Mictena. She spoke to us through a crow and indicated her desire to kill us. She believes we are here for a reason and must die properly. What can you tell us of this Mictena, Kishokish?"

"Welcome to the club, Tally. We know they see something odd about our hearts but they do not know what it is either. Whatever it is must be why we are still alive."

Agni removes the mithral breastplate. It is emblazoned with a red-winged rapier, the symbol of Arazni. Engraved on the interior is "Ervin Roslar Commander Red Shrikes". She hands it to Tally.

Hearing Niu, Agni shakes her head and then produces a potion of cure light wounds potion, a cure moderate wounds potion, and two scrolls of restoration. She looks the party over and casts clw on herself. "Here you go."
clw: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Agni gives Niu a stern look, opens her mouth to speak to him and then shuts it. She sits down and begins going through her pack. "I have some things here that belong to all of us and you will need them more than I will. Tally, the breastplate I wear was once owned by Rolsar himself. It is engraved as such and is now yours."

The wounded emotionally drained ifrit takes a moment to process what was just said to her. She assumes Tally is not truly dead like herself and the others. "I am Agni. My companions and I are in the same situation. Let me introduce you to them." She leads Tally to the ballroom via the third floor balcony.

Once there she says "Gentlemen, it appears we have another living soul among us now. This is Tally."

Tally notices a very large wasp nest on the ceiling a couple of rooms into his journey to the third floor. As we waits to figure a way through the room, a badly wounded female ifrit with hair like fames wearing a mithril breastplate appears on the other side of the room. She walks under the wasps and when in the room with Tally and says "They are slow to anger. Just do not linger. Who are you and what are you doing here?"

"My favor is with the residents of Roslar's Coffer. That is where I belong and where I can be found." Agni picks up her weapon and leaves the room.

"I have failed my goddess. This is exactly what I am here to defeat and it defeated me. I should face Pharasma and accept her judgement."

Agni revives with a grunt. She looks down at her remaining wounds and then looks around the room as if trying to get her bearings. "It killed me! Where is it?" She begins shaking uncontrollably. She leaves her weapon on the floor and moves to the corner of the room, slumping into an uncomfortable sitting position.

Agni moves close enough to help Etgar disarm the creep.

Agni holds her action.

Agni moves behind Etgar. She plans to use her last action in this afterlife to keep him alive. "The glove, Etgar, use the glove to disarm him like the portrait said. Don..."

The dice have not been kind to me this encounter. Lower is better.
The maddening sound of the wihsaak gets the best of Agni. She detects Etgar as a foe and swings the heavy mace.

With a stern look, Agni pronounces judgment on the atrocity before her. Her mace is bathed in a divine light.

She moves into the ballroom and takes a totally defensive posture.

"Don, Etgar directly between us, we can aid him if necessary that way. We can defeat him no other way than by taking the staff in my opinion. Focus!"

Agni moves to the balcony.

Agni nods in agreement befor Agni casting guidance on everyone then divine favor and stunning barrier on herself.

"We can enter here on the third floor but we can also enter from the second floor. The ballroom must be two stories high. I have no idea which one is best."

When it is time to open the door, I would like to start up Protective Luck on Don, Agno, and Etgar before we actually open the door.

Agni will cast guidance on everyone then divine favor and stunning barrier on herself before entering.

Agni casts cure light wounds on herself before bedding down.

"Two bunk beds should make it a good rest."

"Thank you, Don."

I would like to finish the floor and get some rest so that we go in fully prepared.

"Fine, fine, we knew that portrait. Can you heal me because I am in no shape to fight at this point."

Agni picks up the key and the glove and hands them to Etgar. "Shall we search that final room before we grace the ballroom?"

avatar was male outsider. Found it making the next one.

"Then let us question this portait"

I edited while you were posting, look back :-)

"Don or I could use the glove equally well. Who is best suited to do something else is my question. What do we know of this invader? I recall it was very capable. I spent two cure light wounds getting you off the floor already this day, Niu."

I looked forever and could not find the avatar she used.

Agni says "I agree that is the right key. The manor has eight eaves but is named nine eaves. Rectangles are doors, semicircles are the balconies and the right angles are the eaves. Perhaps we should heal up and rest before we encounter this sahkil Vithiz in the ballroom."
