Adrian nods to the wizard. "I'll ask around, see if I can find anything out." Putting on his smiling face, Adrian begins to mingle with the taller customers. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

Adrian holds up his hands in a gesture of surrender to Yarask, squeezing the small knife he was using to trim his nails between his fingers. "Never said giants were good, now. Just that orcs might be the more immediate threat, here and now, eh?"

Adrian dusts his hands off after the win, content to tag along with the group and keep his eyes peeled. His only contribution was to congratulate the young lady on her win, remarking to Tegnar afterwards, "I'm glad that worked out for her. If the town needed a win that badly, how rough off must they be?"

Knowledge:Local: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 Odd graffiti, eh? I wonder if some enterprising young magician is coming into their own, thinks Adrian. He tracks down Aggghhh to point it own, likely only to find the dwarf having already noted the issue and filed it away for later concern.

Adrian catches Ogden on the way back to the bar. Nodding to the far table, he asks, "So, what was all that about?" As Ogden brings him up to speed, he tugs on his mustache with his free hand, the other being occupied with a cup of something that smells suspiciously like tea. "Hmm. Well, I'll say there's a difference between tall people and giants. If we can get released from our caravan agreement, I'll be happy to lend a hand. Your people have done a lot for me; it's time to return the favor."

Good evening! Adrian's backstory, character personality, etc., is all in the alias - if you'd like to read it, feel free! In brief, however, he's a fresh-faced caravan guard coming up from Janderhoff. He was raised by dwarves, and while he's large (and slightly more beardy) for a halfling, he doesn't 100% fit in. OOC Strategy-wise, he's most comfortable with close-range sniping using his daggers, to get the best use out of the sneak-stab's 1d8 damage. He's also as comfortable taking on orcs as any dwarf! For me personally: this is my second Pathfinder PbP game on these boards. I've otherwise been involved in tabletop RPGs since 1984, along with other RPG forms (MMO, LARP, etc.). I can usually post once a day, as I'm taking classes online, finishing my BSN; I also work (Pacific time) 1500-2330 three days a week, and 1900-0700 once a week. Coherency...may not be great some days. But I'll be here.
I'm going to dot interest with this character alias. He was created for another Giantslayer game, so I need to adjust the points (I think theirs was a 20 point game), but he's pretty complete aside from that. For Adrian's Meyers-Briggs type, I would say he's definitely iNtroverted, Sensory, and Thinking; I'm up in the air as to whether he's a Perceiver or a Judger, but given his more active role as a knife master, I'm thinking probably the latter.
From Sarabian - here's Adrian, my aforementioned halfling rogue (knife master)! Posting Habits:
I'm currently in school full time, but my classes are online, so I'm often able to check the boards multiple times a day. I also work three days a week, from 3:00pm to midnight Pacific time, so I'm not available to post during those times.
My personal game philosophy is that I'm here to tell a story with the other players and the GM; dice and whatnot are certainly fun, and there is a certain thrill to the occasional BIG DAMAGE ROLL!!!1! but that's not what the game is all about. While Adrian's current alignment is LN, I suspect that's primarily due to a sheltered upbringing, and not really having been exposed to much in the way of overt evil. Once he sees how nasty the world can be, it's very likely that he'll set himself up to oppose it, and shift to LG. Similarly, while he's a worshipper of Abadar currently, that's most likely due to a lack of exposure to Erastil, whose ideals he's probably more sympathetic to. |
