Thank you for the clarification, And also that you stated you intent to leave instead of disappearing like so many seem to do on the boards. So... I apologize for my early morning snark. Coffee before posting is good idea.

I'm good with continuing and a higher post rate, but also happy to just post on occasion. People have lives and sometimes the day drags you down. Bye Khor, while I respect anyone's desire to leave a game, I do not think it is stylish :) to do so with an insult. I wish you all the best. So GM, what do you want to do?

"It collapsed into something. As we've seen, plenty of these buildings seem to have hidden shelters under them, where our lovely citizens like to hide their prized possessions... or it could just be filled with spiders and old wine. Who knows. Worth a cursory look at least." Adelina will look for a way down.

Adelina's ears twitch at 'valuables'. So she agrees the idea has merit. Plus it gives Khor some much needed venting of hostilities. She has been quite impressed he's keep his eating habits and violence quiet this last month. The half elf had expected to spend half her time arranging for evidence removal or pointing the finger at the dottari, but nothing. "Fine." she sighs, putting up her reading glasses, and wiping her hands free of stray ink. "These documents will wait until later. Khor, do you know where Johnny is?" Don't forget your boons, sir. "Check them out? For what?" Adelina asked. She's found herself a proper desk and writing notes for this person and that person, orders to do this, suggestions to that, so on and so forth. All vague enough they hopefully won't mean anything to anyone other than the person receiving it. local to see if she knows anything about the area: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

So from rank 1 to 4 we get an extra skill point, a potion 300gp or less, and a feat chosen from persuasive, deceitful, alertness, or stealthy. Correct? If so Adelina will pick deceitful, add the point to intimidation, and a potion of cat's grace.

Excellent! I agree continuing another round would be nice, since it will most likely bump us to 4. Sneaks are of course Adelina's preference. Though freedom fighters are good fodder being idealists and all :)

Free?!?! She's earning her keep with her excellent bookkeeping skills and penmanship, thank you very much. She might MIGHT! even bring you a cup of tea now and again (occasionally without foreign substances added even) Since Adelina wouldn't give it, she officially uses her earnings to pay off a debt or two that will end up with a broken leg or face if she doesn't deal with them. While Johnny could explain the extra with taking his earnings and doubling it in a wise but short lived business venture... or mugging a old rich person for that exact amount on the way home. Whatever works. Also as Historian of the Rebellion, Adelina grants a +2 Organization check to be assigned where during the upkeep phase.

While Adelina herself would never in a million years offer her share of the spoils to another, since she is magic item rich from the previous loot and Johnny got nothing, you can have her six hundred twenty-three gold pieces, and seven silver pieces... but not the five copper.

Okay updated the list. Johnny, do you want anything? If not we can use the money we get from selling the stuff to upgrade your gear. With the remainder going to our 'rebellion'. If all agree that is. Okay, so hand crossbow, and leather armor +1 for Imperia
Potions of cure light wounds (2) one for each fighter

Okay, went back a bit and gathered as much as I could find, though I likely missed something. Adelina currently has the daredevil boots. If no one else wants it she'd happily take the cloak of elvenkind, but I do not in any way want to hog magic items. Not so oddly, a smugglers den seems to have a lot of magic items that apply to rouges. The silver morning star would be good to keep hold of in case of devils again, if anyone has marital prof. The playing cards the tengu use for her game consist of a harrow deck.

"Merchants are a good asset." Adelina points out as she works on the rebellion's records. "They are allowed everywhere, are told gossip by the wagon loads, and make us money. The fact that they prattle on to no end and are mostly willing to sell you for a shoe shine is just the price of business..." looking up and adjusting her reading spectacles, she remembers to add the required "Mam" But on to the subject of the acquanitances, noting the way the other way says it, she'll sigh, heavily "Yes, I'll go out to engage them in pleasant conversation once this ledger is finishes." pleasant conversation is her way of saying 'stab enough of them repeatedly until they start to f#~$ing listen.' An important alternate phrase to use around the good folk of their operation. Fully supporting adding another team

We have loot, do we not? The ledger said it was worth 400gp alone. We can sell it and the other things to either put more into the rebellion or to get a masterwork weapon for one of our warriors. Adelina would love minions (a spy team), she'll give them horrible code names like wobbly joe, and peavous the perilous. Cause that is important for spies.

"The gutters are usually the best places to start for eyes and ears. No loyalty to the governance, and willing to sell any secret for coin. It would be nice to create loyalty of our own on those levels, but to start money is enough." Adelina suggests. "I know those places well so I should be fine, but you are always welcome Khor." later: "The tale as old as time really. If you can't gut the one you want, get someone else to gut them for you, and either way gut whoever wins. As long as they are sufficiently beaten down at least." the half elf thinks as she talks "I can start looking around for strong enough but with a leader that can use their brains enough to see the profit in bowing down." stopping her thoughts, she'll nod, black pony tail bobbing as she does "Yes, I believe that would work. And if it doesn't, we have a set of patsies for the slaughter."

Before Johnny and Khor head out, Adelina will retrieve two of the silver ravens for them. "If what Rexus says is true, these will allow us to remain in communication should anything untold or at least interesting happen. Or when we figure out the next way to... help... the city." she says with her wry smile.

Adelina considers for a bit. This route they have all stumbled on does seem potentially profitable, and in any situation, being the one in charge is like painting a large target on oneself. Deciding the half elf gives a proper bow, "Of course, my lady. We can discuss my salary later."

"It appears from his notes..." producing the ledger they found, adjusting her glasses as she looks to be reading while speaking, "... that they were unexpectedly stuck here due to the lockdown after he took on the job to smuggle them here. I'd assume the wait raised tensions, which lead to the violence." bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 She does not add the sorry for the loss, because adding in an attempt of caring is so much harder to fake than simply throwing out facts and nudging toward the lie. She is also not wearing the gross alligator gut boots at the moment, they are in the backpack wrapped up tight as possible to keep the stink in until they can be cleaned. Is everyone okay with Adelina taking the boots?

When it is Adelina's turn, she'll do as suggested, since it makes sense NOT because it was an order. Flanking if possible while pointing out how the creature leads with its snout leaving itself open for a solid wack at the right time. Since the element of surprise is lost (or never has been there) and the other two are significantly better at killing then she is, Adelina swings at the bird woman to put her in a better hacking position to Johnny and make a suggestion Khor about her dodging to the right all the time. aid another, to Johnny's attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

"If you change your mind.. " the half elf will approach the bird woman while pulling out her scroll case. A sheet of paper is selected, ink pen out, she writes something quickly, "... you can find us here." then hands it to the tengu. If she can read, it says simply "In The Boneyard" but by that point Adelina is close enough to stab the creature. bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Adelina would suggest killing the bird woman and looting all that she owns. Of course. Other than that there is the other boot we are missing. I guess no other exploration needing to be done, we'd go back and report to the halfling barkeep the success of our operation. Reaping in the glorious goodwill before considering what great things we will do next :)

Adelina tells the others what she remembers about these things, not having ever laid eyes on the creepy things before, just stories. She sees from the look in Imperia's eyes that she already knew all about them, and of course she does, but Adelina also adds one bit. "We should kill it." rather unnecessarily.
