OK. Since it appears that Abraham can't make notice check roles, or initiative orders I'm just going to drop from the game. I'm not upset with anyone, but obviously the character's not making an contribution or he'd be included now and then. Good luck all.

This is the second time I've asked. is there some reason Father Silver is being left out of the notice checks?

I noticed Father Abraham didn't get a notice roll. I'm still here. Not posting a lot, as dungeons are not his strong suite, but still involved.

Brother Abraham assists with the unloading and walks about giving everyone encouraging words.

"We made it through another day... and one step closer to our goal. All is good and we shall soon arrive on the other side much smarter for the experience".

I'm guessing this is more performance than persuasion?

Brother Silvers heartrate finally begins to return to normal, and he takes a moment to look at the mushrooms, wondering if they might be edible. He always liked a quick snack after all the excitement... but found them to be of some species he wasn't familiar with.

Better leave those alone. I'm not that hungry yet.

He nods after a brief consideration, and reaches into his snack pouch for a handful of nuts.

Brother Abraham is conflicted. In his heart he wants to be brave and join the explorers, but his panicked mind tell him that he will probably die in the cramped caverns, and his big body might block the others from escaping. Finally he is relieved when it is communicated that it might be best to stay behind and guard the others.

"There are still dangers out here as well, and I might be needed to confront them... Still if you are in dire need call out, and I'll hurry to your aid".

Brother Abraham spends the next few hours travelling constantly cleaning the head of his flail, as though something is still on it. He mumbles to himself, but keeps glancing into the shadows, moving the torch to keep things illuminated.

When they come to the lake, he extends the torch outwards, trying to see if the trail emerges on the other side of this area.

As far as the movement rules, I don't have an issue with them. It's always possible to step on a rock, slip on a wet patch, or just lose your balance. I might make an Advantage that would allow you to have a minimum roll, or roll two take highest on the die or something like that "Expert Trail Runner".

Not being familiar with how much experience you've all had playing Savage Worlds so I'll give a few hints which you can disregard or embrace as you see fit. Not being a know it all, and not necessarily always right, but you never know.

@ Allysen - Don't forget you can use your Bennies to roll over. When I first started playing I ended up saving my bennies, and they often went unused.

@Brizzle - The format of your rolling makes it look like you're adding the two dice, when in fact you use most advantageous, whether it's the highest of the exploding die.

Quresha fiddles with the hem of her white robe as the attention from Bizzle becomes a little much for her. "Err, not magical as such, no, it is a sacred item mostly. There are two, in fact - The Cup, and The Talisman - but they are thought of together, like so: thecupandthetalismanofAl-Akbar. They are so important that their loss caused a rift in our faith."

Again, she glances at Father Abraham. If she had understood correctly, he was from Ket, a bastion of the True Faith, which was the other major faction of the faith of Al-Akbar, and opposed to her own, the Exalted Faith, which was prominent in her native land, the Caliphate of Ekbir.

Allysen's mutter grabs her attention, and she waves her hand reassuringly. "Oh, no need to apologize, after all it make sense to consume the water in the skins first, and refill them with fresh water." She smiles in what she hopes is a friendly manner.

Brother Silver catches Quresha glancing at him and smiles at her.

He has mad no attempt to hide his worship of Mouqol, and in fact often speaks of his representation of the god.

Brother Silver bends over his hands on his knees and tries to get is breath, sweat drips in streams from his matted hair, and his face is red as a beet. I'm not sure but this might be worse than travelling on a cramped ship. At least there I could catch a breeze between the frequent trips to puke over the rail. Nothing is made for a man my size.

He again considers whether wearing his armor full time is a good idea or not, but the trade off in heat versus tearing his clothes constantly was a sound one. Besides he might lose a few pounds from perspiration.

He reaches into his ration bag, and takes out a healthy portion before settling on a semi comfortable boulder to rest. Wiping the sweat from his eyes he replies to the muscular Gnome. "I'm not sure the words good and workout should ever be used in the same sentence... still we're closer to being back above ground than we were at this time yesterday".

I like the initiative rules as well. I've ran a couple of SW games on here, and used 1d13 plus 1d4 for suit, but that didn't allow for easy joker implementation. Finally just made a chart of 1d54, but I like the DM doing it better.

Sorry about not posting lately. Lot's of travel last week, and didn't get a chance to upgrade Abraham. I will this weekend. Did have time to review the SWADE rules however.

1. I missed the free human edge somehow. I'll move things around, and give AS the d8 in STR for the armor. BTW how do the house ruled carrying capacity rules affect minimum STR scores if at all.

I'm thinking this might be the god worshiped by Father Silver.

Title(s): The Merchant
Lesser
Alignment: Neutral
Portfolio: Trade, Negotiation, Ventures, Appraisal, and Reciprocity
Domains: Knowledge, Travel, Trickery
Settings: Greyhawk

Abraham is of Balkuni heritage, and hails from the capital city of Ket, Lopolla. He was given a list of potential investments, as well as a list of current holdings to investigate near the city of Saltmarsh. He is working under the autority of the Church for this venture.

He is tall and very broad, with straight black hair, and green eyes. Were it not for the extra flesh on his face he might exhibit high cheekbones and sharp yet handsome features.

I'll be submitting this character. Should be able to make any changes, and change the background as needed to fit Greyhawk before the weekend is over.

About a month ago, another person started a SW version of this same adventure, which basically got to the house (It was modded a bit to fit into Golarion). Here is the character I made for that game which would only need to be re-skinned into a Greyhawk Character (Which is still my favorite D&D Setting by the way.

Abraham had been making notes and sketches of both the interior and exterior of the house as they went, carefully treading to make sure the floor is sufficiently sturdy to support his weight as he goes.

Hmmm the place seems to be sturdier than it looks. I'll have to maybe upgrade my estimates a bit.

He finally joins the others at the fireplace, eyes widening at the ring. "That might have some value. As a representative of the Church of Abadar, I'll have to note that as belonging to the house. Please feel free to use it until ownership can be verified however".

I guess I picked the wrong time to drive all day. I'll be a little slow posting the next couple of days, but should have time to get at least one post a day in. Feel free to DMPC Abraham should the need arrive.

Abraham would have walked over to the stranger and offered to buy him another of whatever he's having. He would have then used his charm to try to extract from the man what he is smirking about. When talk of the adventure begins he would certainly be in for the trip... especially since he had to go there anyway. He would even offer his brand new lantern which he took from the church stores along with his store of oil.

Abraham sat back, as he once again has spilled some gravy on his best shirt. He thought for a moment of which of his daring deeds he should share with the crowd. He didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the old mans story until he heard the word "treasure" then he honed in like an eagle.

When the innkeeper shared her thoughts on the old mans story, he almost rubbed his hands in anticipation. He took a look around the room to see if any others seemed interested.

That looks fine.

I checked the Pinnacle forum; re: trappings for shapechange and the official reply was;
"Shape Change at its base allows for any mundane animal as long as it falls within the limitations of the character's Rank. It's possible to have a trapping which limits it to a specific animal or set of animals (only aquatic for instance) but that's adding restrictions which don't inherently exist."
... so I'm cool with any beast/animal that meets rank requirements, but no shapechanging into a humanoid monster, ie: goblins/orcs, etc.

I'm also imagining how fear would work for a priest of Abadar. The target suddenly receives a crippling penalty charge from their bank! Make a fear save! :D

As I develop the character I've got some ideas. As the "Fat Kid" in class at the temple, Abe always wished he could be as fast as a cat, or fly like a hawk, or swim like a fish... so he got his wish.

And he is in Sandpoint hoping to find some funds to keep away from a overdraft fee... Maybe fear of losing everything and becoming destitute...

I'm sorry but after reading all the house rules, I'm going to have to drop out as well. HeroLab lets me track the standard Pathfinder version of a lot of these options, but even these options have changed. It's just too much for me to absorb all at once.

In addition I am vehemently opposed to bonus XP for posting. I work a lot, and online RP is my escape. I shouldn't be punished because I have a particularly busy week. Quality not quantity for me.

Sorry it took me so long to post this...should have read all the House rules before continuing...shame...I really want to play this AP.

On a side note...the game is starting to look suspiciously like 4th edition, which I tried, but wasn't my cup of tea. I would embrace the opportunity to try out all these rules in a real life game, and am thinking about some myself, but in PbP I feel all these additional options, and things to track would slow down an already slow form of gaming.

Again I apologize for waiting so long to post this, and I wish you all the best of luck. Hit a few bad guys for Abraham.

Also, you have 5 hero points, 1 destiny point, 5 action points, and 4+1d6 luck points.

Go ahead and change the DR listing to DR 5/armor.

Critical defense you can list as 15.

On melee, put "or" instead of "and" after your glaive attack.

Where did you get student of faith from?

I'm not sure where your numbers are coming from. Wound points equals twice your CON which is 28, and Wound Threshold is 14 or your CON. Vigor Points are your normal HD but don't add in CON modifier. D8 at first level should give me 8 vigor points. I don't think HP exist with this varient, but if so they would be 10 (Max at level 1 + CON modifier).

I'll add the misc. Points to the profile 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Luck Points.

The armor DR is already listed just below the Aasimar Damage reduction.

Where is the Critical Defense you mentioned, and how is it used?
