Posting now to move things along. On Abigail's turn: Abigail stays at the end of the table to help the children slide down and points them to the exit. Meanwhile, she encourages the children to come to the slide. Not sure how many actions are needed, trying to get as many as possible through and not sure if I'm needed to help them slide down. If so, happy to have all my actions as such.
Abigail moves to the end of the makeshift ramp and says: :Good thinking Ragnhild! I can slow their slide. Just make them come to us. You!" she points at the nearest child, "Yes, don't be afraid, we've got you. Just slide off the ramp and I'll catch you, all right?" Stride, interact, interact (two actions to get the child to slide off? or perhaps one interacta and one action to help the child slide down safely?

Nice!
Abigail draws the attention of the person nearest her and says: "Hey! Wake up! There's a fire! My friends and I will get people out. I need you to move as quickly and as directly as you can TOWARDS THE NEAREST EXIT. Now MOVE!" She then glides calmly towards the stage to try and get the children down. I think that makes three actions: get attention, convince, move. Let me know if I need to roll something.
Joana (Edited): Thanks for the feedback. Working on equipment. So far, I've decided to go Dex and Int instead of Str, which meant a few changes. Int also gives me a skill and a language, if I'm not mistaken. Please note I've added Goblin from my Intelligence bonus. Let me know if you prefer I choose another one. Edit: Ok, equipment and sheet done (I think!).

Abigail looks at Ragnhild with a dash of surprise in her eyes and the twinkle of a smile on her lips: "I didn't know people of the Lands had special food for their cats... I mean, I just let mine hunt, or die..."
Abigail stands up and says: "I am glad you mention diplomacy. This means you need a group able to deal with trouble, yes, but also one that has individuals able to bring Goblins to discuss and look at peaceful options. Our group can count on such individuals." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Unfortunately, her voice deadens in her throat, as the sight of the dignitaries intimidates her. She sits down and curses at herself, doubting now more than ever her recent life choices.

Great, thanks!
Abigail smiles warmly at the children, confident they will turn out to be good citizens, properly indoctrinated in the ways of this town. As Stagram clarifies his situation, Abigail's eyes seek the distance, conjuring lost thoughts. Recall knowledge, Society about the Stagram family: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Abigail grows attentive, the presentation took her by surprise. It reminded her of Chelish propagandist demonstrations, reiterating the dogma that kept the powerful in place. She wonders, as the kids enact the founding saga of Breachill, what the purpose of this particular display is and whether it achieved anything close to the desired effect. Society?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
I'm trying to get my character sheet done, slowly... One issue I have: trained usually means +2, right? but then the sourcebook says: "For each skill in which your character is trained, add your proficiency bonus for that skill (typically +3 for a 1st-level character) to the indicated ability’s modifier, as well as any other applicable bonuses and penalties, to determine the total modifier for that skill" (p. 28). So is it +3/+6/+9 for skills, but +2/+4/+6 otherwise? And Perception would be +2/+4/+6? Thanks for helping. I feel like a fish on the beach...
Abigail listens to Ragnhild and Shaserai's comments. She tries to add something, to perhaps challenge what they say, but hesitates. Cheliax runs on fear, and fear brought its dismantlement, as far as losing Kintargo could be interpreted. Fear, not unity. Certainly not unity... Yet, it hadn't worked. Lost in thoughts, she smiles and nods despite herself, a part of her agreeing with their comments. Finally, she says: "Unity... Coming together to help one another, but still requiring proper compensation, no? Can we thus speak of unity? Or is this but a marketplace, albeit an organized one?" she asks them.
Abigail takes note of the people in the room, recognizing some of them. Desna, Cayden, and the kindness of strangers... It all seemed so unreal, compared to what she had grown used to. Perhaps the 'good people,' those who murdered her husband that is, would find solace in those words as well? Abigail's thoughts recline from the scene and drift away as she wonders about Asmodeus's teachings and His Law. What had that brought to others but more Law? It all led in circles, she discovered. No, not a circle, but a spiral, edging ever so slowly from justice, and towards oppression. Was this place really different? Or just a coloured paper wrapping the same mud of ashes and dust? Time would tell, she thought. Perhaps it was what her husband had discovered. Perhaps, like her, he had listened to those words and believed them? Perhaps he really believed in good deeds? One day, long ago? And what of her? What was this, but an offering to forget it all, leave it all behind, and find purpose? In finding a ring!? And yet, perhaps this was the kindness of strangers, to give a hand for simple things, just because? Just because it felt right? "Tell me more..." she says to no one in particular, smiling to herself.
Abigail smiles at Ren as she watches him return: "Ren, what a strange process!? Is this going as intended? Are we to find trouble or to wait for it to call upon us? I must confess confusion... Perhaps this was a bad idea after all..." She nonetheless decides to give it more time and orders her cup filled.
Abigail looks at Jonagher, pensive, then says: "Abigail..." she hesitates for a moment, not sure whether to use her husband’s name or her own. Finally, she decides to honour her husband still. Who knows, someone might recall the name? "Garrett. Abigail Garrett. An yes, working together sounds like a good idea..." she avoids looking at Ren, wondering whether he will cast his lot with her despite her latest performance.
Abigail is taken aback by Ren’s direct approach. He would have made a fine Hellknight, she thinks to herself. But her musings make her miss the many questions that came from left and from right. She smiles and nods, affirmative, and looks around, wondering how many are there in fact for the Call... Still travelling. Hard to find time to learn a system. Please be patient with me.
Abigail shakes off the dust from her cloak as she makes her way to a corner of the room, hoping not to draw attention on her late arrival. Who would hire an adventurer who gets lost but a few miles from the town... From the corner of her eye, she spies Ren. She felt bad for him. After all, he had suggested what has turned out to be the right way, but Abigail had a way with word, and so they went the wrong way... She tries to make eye contact to let him know he is welcome to join her. She wishes she had had time to find a room for the night and clean up a little before coming here. She smells of the road, and of hope, and of melancholy for that matter. Under her cloak, she tightens her grip on her husband’s journal while she reads the room. Society: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Amaranthine Witch wrote: Ooops. I posted the dot on the gameplay thread without selecting Shaserai's profile by error and now my main shows up in the characters tab. Is that fixable? Yes, you can 'dot and delete' using your alias. The campaign tab will then show both avatars, the main and the alias. Joana, in her tab, can edit the campaign and remove the check mark beside your main. Then only your alias avatar will appear.

Thanks! I wish they'd mention it in the basic entry. Easy to miss. Now I have to decide... Now, a comment: one thing I did not like very much was those long lists of feats where the majority were not very useful. Reading the list of general feats available at first level made me feel the same way. Not a big deal, but it makes finding a good feat a lot more work.
Abigail's skills are, thus far: Lore (Engineering)
I have 4+Int to select in addition. The social trilogy seems obvious. I might also take Society, but I'm less certain about that one. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome! Also, I've build a list of skills: -Acrobatics [untrained] (Dex; Balance, Tumble through; TR: Maneuver in flight, Squeeze)

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense.

About Abigail's Story I would say her husband spent time in Breachill for certain, in his early days of adventuring. That is where he started his journal. Abigail is 36 years old. They were about to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary when he was slain in battle. Deneus is 16 years older than her. They met when she was quite young. He was a dashing and promising officer and looked like a good upward match to her family. They had two boys early on, Deimus and Phobus. One is studying to become a military engineer, his father's passion, while the other is studying to become a priest. Her adventuring life has been spread thinly across their 20 years of marriage as small gestures of resistance. Most time, it amounted to helping families in need, smuggling some coins to them. In one instance, she hid some Halfling refugees for a week. Her husband found out later and severely punished her for this, but did not gave her up. In Kintargo, tendencies turned to passion, for both of them, though in opposite directions. It pained her, for she never stopped loving the man behind the maralictor. In the last months of the rebellion, she fed information to the rebels, which, it turns out, saved her life, but cost her husband's. For her, the journal is a lifeline, a path back to happier times. About Abigail's Build As Crisischild pointed out, we have the classic roles here, so I would like to have a fairly classic bard. Is Weapon Finesse still available? Is it under another name? How about Power Attack? Still trying to decide if fighting will be Dex or Str. Our cleric seems to be moving away from a battle build, so I want to be a solid secondary fighter.

Thank you! That makes a great difference for me. Also, I’ll be travelling during the second half of the month, so my posting will likely be impacted to some extent.
Hello All, Thanks Joana! I look forward to playing with you again! I have a suggestion to make. If you open the Gamethread, we can post and see the campaign on our Campaign tab. It will be easier to see new posts that way. If players posts, then delete their posts right away, the campaign still appears on their tab. That way, the Gameplay thread is left unspoiled, but we can follow what could be a longer creation process more easily. With regards to characters, we have a nice combo of classes and backgrounds, so we should be able to play to the classes strengths without feeling like we're stepping on each others. I look forward to us learning the system together and collaborating on making a great story! Ok, now my character (this is the avatar I had in mind, but let me know if you feel it's off with her story below):: A-B-C
Story
With warm, melancholic, tears, she reads of Deneus’s early adventures around the town of Breachill. Missing the man she both loved and hated, Abigail decides to travel to Breachill in the hope of reconnecting in some small way with her dead husband and breathe purpose back into her life.
Abigail smiles at everyone, showing confidence: "They're not far behind. All is well, and we've rid the island of another menace." She gets Ramona alone long enough to ask for a private meeting. When she meets the colony's leader alone, she explains: "We've fought a nasty hag, who dwelled in an ancient tower, but we've also freed one of her prisoners, and guaranteed safe passage out of the colony and to its homeland... It's just that it's a cyclop... So I guess that might raise some issues. That's why I came alone."
