"Should we tell them about our plans to colonize as well?"
The ones in front of us are...
I'm about this close to asking M to translate the phrase that they have 15 seconds to run.
"Why a different location?"
Without facial muscles, or really any physical indicators at all, it is very hard to tell, but after listening to M's translation, the hydraulics that allow AX to move tense up. The large android shakes slightly, and although they usually defer to their programming for emotional issues, it is clear that something is bothering the large robot.
"That bodes... poorly for peaceful relations."
AX looks at one of the chairs, and shakes his head slightly, instead choosing to assume a squatting position instead of subjecting a chair to his bulk. He leans forward slightly, using his hammer as a crutch.
"At least it's not a parlor." AX waits briefly to see if anyone laughs. He steps in after the dark elves, staying near M, since she's the translator.
"They should be treated as potentially hostile. Those were not friendly drones that we encountered."
AX will stand in the doorway, hammer resting on his shoulder. "If they do decide to attack from this direction, they will have to go through me first."
"Is it time for violence once again?
AX hefts their hammer, and creaks open the door, assuming it opens.
That seems... unlikely but possible? In any case, we will be on the lookout.
"Your memories of the ship and mine are very different I'm afraid. This is altogether too familiar. Darkness and fear... I am glad to not be alone this time." The android's usually measured voice contains strong emotion, but what emotion it was is hard to tell.
AX begins heading into the dark cave, hammer ready.
"Do you really want to go in first? I will not stop you, but I would not recommend it either."
Did my best to give an in character reason for my hilariously bad showing there :P
"Arm recalibrations complete. Hydraulics functioning at 70%"
Completely spaced on that! Thank you.
"Apologies. It seems the hydraulics in my arm require more maintenance than I had initially realized."
AX steps in front of the elf, and draws his hammer. Knowing full well that he cannot understand, he still says, "For your protection, I must request that you stay behind me." To his compatriots, "Normally, I would try and protect you all before all else, however I think our host takes priority, and I am unsure if I can sucessfully defend even one person against these. Do we stand our ground, or try to flee?."
"Hmm. Many of us ought to be fine then."
"Is it hammer time?"
"Oh joy." There is no trace of humor in the android's voice.
"Are there any remnants of the before times? Studying them might prove to be useful."
Same here!
"It does bode positively for us."
Please don't feel obligated to throw in combat purely for my sake, I have fun doing things I'm absolutely terrible at as well. (IE the armband thing)
AX endeavors to clank quietly and non-threateningly.
AX follows 6 off the ship, carefully checking the ground for traps or other such dangerous things.
I have a hammer(because I couldn't afford anything fancier), and a very small gun :(
...there are some predatory animals but they're the size of lions But!?!?! Only lions, well then, we should be perfectly safe. :)
AX puts down his work on the armband. It's pretty rough, the giant android's hands are not really designed for such precision work. They take the work they have finished so far, and put it in a small pouch, in case they had some free time while on the mission. They trundle their way to the exit, and wait next to M.
Whoops! I'll keep it to a minimum from now on, thank you everyone for your patience!
"I believe so. I have performed similar rudimentary tasks before. Thank you for your assistance." AX picks up the materials in his hands as gently as he can, and turns to leave. Before he gets all the way to the door, he turns back and states, "I find it difficult at times to address deficiencies in my knowledge banks. Betty however often tells me what to do, and to ask an expert when I require aid. If you require aid that I can provide, please inform me and it would be my pleasure to return this favor." AX waits a second for a reply, and if none is given, he returns to his post and begins work, taking as much time as he needs to make sure that the item comes out to the best of his abilities.
"I prefer... to make things by hand if I can. No fabricators in the belly of the ship. No fabricators on the surface of where we're going. I'd like to learn how... if possible." AX seems almost embarrassed by talking about these old fashion views, keeping his head bowed. "I am ashamed to admit that I do not know how to do this on my own.
"Guns are online." The android sounds... almost disappointed compared to all the other members, excited for their roles.
