"I expect dangerous." the shaman says quietly readying a spell and holding his spear ready for a fight as he follows.
Nodding, Aðvinr follows, spear held at the ready. "So any ideas on where to find this bandit lord ladies?"
"It appears anything she has done is under duress. She told us where to find you rather than posing any resistance. I believe her." Aðvinr says clearly unimpressed with the noblewoman's imperious attitude.
”Yuln arrived in Heldren half dead having barely survived the bandit attack. He spoke of both bandits and winter fey, which we have experienced first hand, working in concert. He claimed to be the only survivor, but clearly he underestimated Delilah’s resourcefulness.” Aðvinr adds. "At this point it would likely be better to clear the area of the remaining guards and spend the night in the shelter of this place before heading out into the snow again."
His anger at the woman's bruises turning to amusement at her request, Aðvinr averts his gaze, grinning as he makes eye contact with Annalisa
Aðvinr's eyes narrow, a palpable anger emanating from the shaman at the sight of the numerous bruises on the captive woman's skin.
BTW Delilah it makes perfect sense that the person who's job it was to keep her safe is like "@%^ no I'm not leaving her down there while we explore." :P
Striding into the room, Aðvinr opens the wardrobe, looking inside.
Leveling his spear at the door, the shaman stands to the side readying himself for any possible opposition.
"True. Any other rooms we have yet to clear here? The grounds of this place would e next," Aðvinr replies.
Frowning down at the trap door Aðvinr looks to his companions. "Anyone good with locks?"
I could definitely see that. I'm assuming that Mirri's point is that of somone who's seen people die of hypothermia before and knows how dire it is and at an apprentice to a winter witch she's probably used to being listened to. That being said a "who the hell do you think you are lady?" would be a completely normal and reasonable reaction as well.
Looking over at Mirri directing Delilah, Aðvinr nods to both of them. "The place is secure enough for now. There are ll the furs in the bigger room. We have this part under control."
Looks like it.
Having the ability to amp up your spells with metamagic or pull off a higher level hex could be pretty useful and I'd say the chance of failure makes it fair.
"Other than the four sick ones, how many others are here?" Aðvinr asks planing the butt of his spear on the ground.
"You would do well to do as she says. You are sorely outnumbered." Aðvinr says calmly.
Well you might want to pick a spell or two that you'll want to cast more than once in a day to make use of the Primalist benefit of keeping a spell using primal magic.
Hey all, DM Twilight's got quite a bit going on at the moment and may not update for a few days. She wanted to give a heads up and ask that you bear with her but the forum was down...again. Meanwhile: leveling
"We'll come back to this same as the other, looks like we've got something in this one." Aðvinr says moving to the other door.
"We can check out the chest later, and those furs will come in handy." Aðvinr says turning to the adjacent room and taking one side of the door. The little fey's antics bring a small smile to the shaman's lips.
Raising an eyebrow in amusement at the little fey's curious antics, Aðvinr moves to the other side of the door, holding his spear ready he give Annalísa a nod.
"Agreed. We clear the rest of this place, see if the Lady is being kept here and see to your chills. We can decide what to do with them after that." Aðvinr says nodding his head toward the room with the sick men.
Aðvinr looks at the contents of the chest. "It's possible using this I'd be able to give them a better chance at surviving the disease, but I'd honestly prefer to make sure someone more deserving doesn't need that aid first."
"Whether they deserve mercy or not will depend on the condition of the woman we came here to rescue." the shaman says as he moves in behind Annalísa, shifting his grip on his spear. " Anyone care to try the chest?"
I'm really sorry to hear that. I know how that feels and it sucks. Take the time, wallow a little bit, yell, scream , punch a wall. But it'll be ok in the long run. You'll find something better.
"Best case.....they're strong enough to survive it would be at least two days before they're free of the disease, with care. Something we don't really have time for. Worst case they remain sick or it gets worse, maybe develops into chillbane fever." Aðvinr says quietly.
"Damn. They're suffering from the chillbane shakes. Just being in this room, breathing the air, we've all been exposed. Everyone out." the shaman says in a tone that brooks absolutely no argument.
Aðvinr moves into the room, resting his spear against the wall as he studies each of the sick men.

With a silent nod, Aðvinr moves to the opposite side of the door from Annalísa, his spear leveled at the door waiting for the moment she kicks it in, Ratatoskr at his heels.
Glancing over at Annalísa with a chuckle, Aðvinr mutters under his breath. "Couldn't go any worse than last time." before giving Theora a nod and moving forward, shifting his grip on his spear as the enlarge spell wears off, leaving only his normal 6 foot 7 inch frame.
Ducking the door frame as he enters, Aðvinr joins those in the room, followed by a mammoth no larger than a mountain dog.
Walking up behind Annalísa, Aðvinr looks past her, studying the women, searching his memory for their features. "They were part of the other group back in Heldren. The one that left before we did. At least, those two were." the massive shaman speaks up indicating Mirri and Theora.
Not I. From the frozen north come to find the source of winter mysteriously spreading south. Annalisa is though.At least she's lived there a while.
"Ungh...I will be. Definitely not my best idea. Too bad all the stealthy types headed back." Aðvinr replies pulling out the bolt with a groan and a bit of a chuckle seeing her expression. "Well, they know we're here now so we better get moving."

Yup. But with the Mammoth spirit Aðvinr can hold his own in melee as well. It looks like we'll be missing a rogue which I can attest to becomes a problem when you have to keep setting traps off with your face. Given that, Delilah the Rogue might be a good choice if Twi is amenable to her.
We also had to spend a night making sure some of the party didn't free to death so there's that as well.
