Let me know if you have any questions. I know I was a bit brief in the description.
The Dungeon of Doom is the module built around the 2017 Dwarven Forge kickstarter. The full thing is 15 encounter areas, I'm planning to bring about 6 that give a nice sampling, IMO, of the puzzles, combats, and fun use of terrain, that can still tell a good portion of the overall story, without spoiling the full thing.
Its also easily scaled for any level between 1 and 9. I picked 3 just because that gives you some survivability, but avoids some spell tactics that can nullify some of the more fun encounters. However, if post lottery/signup, everyone in a given session (Sat or Sun) agrees on a different level, I'm happy to change it.
Thanks for the info... My son and I are in the Saturday game and we're both looking forward to it! Happy to go 3rd level or higher (it IS always nice to have a bit MORE durability, and hit the more interesting builds... but happy with whatever)
In any case, excited to play in some awesome 3D Terrain!
Wife and I happily won seats for Saturday as well. We'll be fielding a dwarven couple: the Earthsongs. (Lola the Two Handed Fighter and Pinto the Empyreal Sorcerer)
Our vote would be for a slightly higher level, say 5th? (PCs start to feel competent about there) However, I'd hate to spoil the special terrain flavor, and we'll happy with anything. ^^
Terrain always adds a cool element to a game... and this Dwarven Forge Dungeon of Doom session (even paired down from a full 14 rooms!) was a blast! The number of rooms was just about right for the length of our session and was a pretty good mix of combat and old school dungeon-delve-paranoia.
@NielsenE was a good and fair GM. Everyone at the table seemed to have a good time.
Thank you! I had a lot of fun at both session and so very different from each other. Sunday was a more RP focused and less 'safe' than Saturdays group, so more traps/features were sprung, but both groups were successful in the end!
